    I cannot stress enough how shady and unprofessional this company is. I called JT Kia of Columbia 230 Killian Commons Parkway Columbia, SC 29203 about a 2019 Honda Ridgeline listed at $22,900. I was planning to drive from Statesville, NC (a 2-hour, 112-mile trip) to purchase the vehicle on Friday. I called Thursday morning and spoke with Gordon, who said he would send me a text and reach back out shortly. This was at 9:06 AM. By 3:22 PM, I had not heard back, so I texted Gordon again. After trying to reach the sales manager, Tillman, Roe, someone finally came on the line and said they would send the forms so I could take them to my bank. When the forms arrived, the price of the vehicle had increased to $25,588 because I wasn't financing through them. I called and explained that I was essentially paying cash and would not pay more--in fact, I expected to pay less. Then I received a text from Roe stating they would honor the original price but add dealer add-ons, bringing the total to $26,532. This company is deceptive and tries to take advantage of people. I would not recommend anyone to go to this company. They will totally take full advantage of you.

    JT kia of Columbia is complete trash. Starting with trying to call in to someone at the front desk to get scheduled. Told me they would call me back with a confirmed appt, never did. I had to call. They also just lack professionalism. Nik is horrible. I had to deal with him both my visits and it's painful. First time I dropped my car off, I had to wait in line to give them my keys which took forever. And he made a smart mouth comment about I should have been there sooner, lemme guess you were stuck in traffic. So rude. He sent a text saying I could text this number +1 (803) 932-1449 anytime during my service.. which I finally did by 1pm still not hearing anything from them. He then proceeded to argue with me stating "I tried calling this morning around 9:30, its ready for pick up." I text him back letting him know the number he was supposed to be using to get ahold of me is NOT the number that called so I assumed it was a spam call. I go to pick up my car and Nik blamed me for not calling them sooner. During my visit they replaced some items that were recalls, but had to order some parts (which they never called to let me know came in over a month later). When I got my car back it was leaking oil and I couldn't figure out why. My back right door also would not lock anymore and still doesn't to this day. I dealt with the problem for a few weeks while they got me on the schedule to have them look at it. Nik was working my case alongside his manager. Nik tried to tell me because I have two car seats in my car, surely i overuse the side with the door lock problem. Which is not the case. Both of my kids normally get in themselves on the driver backseat side smh. But his remarks were obviously most needed per usual. His boss said they would look at my car for free. But wanted to charge me a diagnostic fee for the back door lock. This of course upset me because the first visit I drop my car off it's fine, I get it back it's leaking and won't lock, I shouldn't be charged anything... So basically they run their tests and come to find out when they were installing a recall piece, the manager admitted his mechanics didn't run the after inspection to confirm everything was sealed properly...THEY DID NOT TIGHTEN SOMETHING UP which caused the oil leakage(extreme rookie move for such established mechanics) The manager ran the tests on my doors anyway and didn't charge me and found out I need a lock replaced. I highly do NOT recommend this place and I feel sorry for you because they are like 1 of 2 KIA locations in Columbia. When I lived in Charleston the Kia location there was hands down best customer service, mechanic service, just all around super professional. JT could learn a thing or 10 from them!

    Highway robbery at its best. $220 for a diagnostic for a check engine light, when my car is still in warranty? That's sad and pitiful.

My daughter purchased a pre owned vehicle, had to end up getting a second key and Mr. Carl and Jordan Burrell really showed warm hospitality. On Monday July 6, 2026 my daughter had to take her car back to get new key program. Tim and Matt work in the service department really need to communicate with each other a lot better. Jordan Burrell and Carl the Sale Floor Manager step in again to assist with payment issue . They both spoke with Donny the new Sales Manager that started today. I truly appreciate All involve that help made my daughter experience a great one. Joe who was the finance officer that assisted my daughter started out well. But he needs more training in customer service as well. He needs to realize communication and understanding from the customer is very much needed. Regardless if the customer start out with warranties and end-up changing his or her mind for any reason. I have known multiple people who have had problems from this…read morelocation, faulty repairs, techs not completing jobs appropriately, losing people's cars and you think it will not happen to you until it does. I have been here three times and already am considering selling my Hyundai so that I no longer have to deal with this dealership. The first time I brought my vehicle here I was told that they could not complete a tire rotation due to a previous dealership stripping my lug-nuts. I brought this to the previous dealership, who took a look at it and found no problems, brought it back to Stivers who then did the work no problem. Dropped my vehicle off as I luckily had a ride and did not have to wait. I brought it back again a few months later for an oil change and inspection. They displayed annoyance at me dropping my vehicle off again, stating it would only take maybe 30 minutes. I left for errands and it did indeed only take 30 minutes (the shortest time I have ever seen here and very impressive) but they did not complete the inspection that I requested and I never received reports for the inspection, though they claim that they did. Brought it back for a service recently, oil change, tire rotation, inspection. Was told it would maybe be 1 hour, I chose to wait (last time it was only 30 minutes, 1 hour isn't terrible). I sat and waited for 3 and a half hours. They informed me at one point I only had 15 minutes left. This turned into 45 minutes. Flash forward to now, I have a nail in my tire that they missed during my most recent inspection ( I know it was present during the previous inspection per my request to them previously to fill it with air and take a look at it), I bring my car to Discount Tire for a free patch and repair, who tell me that Stivers has cross-threaded my bolts of my tires and that if they remove it they will break it. I bring it to Stivers. They tell me they will fix it for free and they ask if they can work on it right then and there. I agree and ask for a timeline. "We will have you right in and out." I have been waiting for 1 hour and 30 minutes and the car still has not moved from the parking spot I left it in. Mind you, I did not ask to be serviced today, THEY stated they could get it right in quickly. When I asked again for a time frame all I was told was "We will get it to you shortly."
