I came here for one reason: to break in and tame a new driver. I bought a large bucket of balls,…read moreheaded out to the range, and figured I was set. Hitting off mats? Not my favorite, but completely acceptable. Then came the surprise... the rubber tee that fits through the mat isn't included. You have to buy one separately. Fine. I walked back to the pro shop ready to buy one... except they were completely out of stock. So the one club I came to practice never left the bag. That's a pretty frustrating miss for a driving range. As for the range itself, it's about 80% dirt and 20% dead grass, so don't expect a lush practice facility. The good news is you can absolutely let it rip with your driver, assuming you have one of the elusive rubber tees. I did appreciate that they have multiple target flags scattered throughout the range. However, there are no yardage markers, so it's hard to know how far you're actually hitting the ball. I'm not a golf snob and don't expect country club conditions, but I do expect a driving range to have the basic equipment available to let customers practice every club in their bag. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I left more annoyed than improved.

When given keys at the pro shop, they said i could choose any golf cart. By the start of hole 10 my cart started to lose power. Instead of giving me a new cart, they decided to send a marshal to push my cart, only for him to let me know that if it happened again to call the shop and they would send a new one. Well... it happened again on the very next hole. The marshal was waiting on the tee box and it happened again. I verbally let him know that I needed a new cart, so they sent one 15 minutes later.Only for that one to die on the very next hole. My friend and I were then forced to push the cart uphill cause calling the golf shop was to no avail because no one would answer our calls. We had to ditch the cart and walk the rest of the course cause no one would answer the phone. We had such a poor experience this evening that it's hard for me to fathom extending my membership with meadowlark. Absolutely terrible in all aspects...

Located in the middle of a business park is his store and the front of his storefront is full of putter grips and clubs in progress for clients that dropped them off for various services. I got his contact from No Bogeys when I was looking for someone that does wedge stamping as a gift for a good friend for his 30th and Christmas. He was very quick to respond to my suggestions and tell me what's possible and what wasn't and provide a quote for his services. For what I wanted to get done it seemed most cost effective to do laser engraving versus stamping per letter ($10/First Letter, $7/Each Additional Letter, Up to 15 Letters, or $30/Laser Engraving Spot). Gave him a picture of what I wanted along with an SVG file of Doodlebob and about 2 weeks later, I got a call from him that it was ready for pickup. The lines are crisp and I appreciated all the extra work he did to get the vision of what I wanted on the club. Definitely the place to go to customize your wedges if you need a custom logo or if the manufacturer of the wedge you want doesn't allow for many letters (lookin' at you Mizuno) or any letters at all (Miura).

The birdie goal at every Irvine course has been achieved. The course is beautiful, with a challenging layout. The fairways and greens are well-maintained. Located in Rancho Santa Margarita, it's a 22-minute drive without traffic. Overall, the course is very good . The blue tees are 6618 yards long, and the red tees are 4950 yards. The front nine is flat with many artificial landscaping and water hazards. The back nine features canyons, natural landscapes, and a significant "two-nine" layout. The front nine is more challenging. The back nine has many canyons and natural vegetation, including many old sycamores, oak trees, and giant cacti, creating a beautiful natural landscape. The only problem is that the secondary rough areas along the fairways are too large and dense. With the fall and winter leaves, finding the ball is very difficult. Several of my teammates' shots landed right there. I just couldn't find it. The course restaurant is pretty good though. Overall, the course quality is similar to Tustin, but closer to nature. Normal, nothing special.

I've since recovered and I recently invested in some clubs, which of course means I need a bag. I researched quite a bit, and I read extremely quick so I can absorb a lot of information. I looked at everything on the market. I was fascinated when I ran across the paradox bag, because I don't want it on my shoulder. What I can say about this bag is it's unbelievably amazing. It's your golf bag, but it feels like you're taking your coffee table with you, in a good way. It's very stable and all the little features really add up to a pleasant experience. I know it's probably near impossible task for the engineers, but if it weighed a couple pounds less I would be over the moon. But I'll take the weight, because of the convenience. It folds up, and I throw it in the back of the car, you pull it out pop the wheels on pop out the front wheel, and the only way it could be any better is if it had a motor, ha ha. I kid, I'm extremely happy with the bag and the way it performs, it's so easy to push or pull along. It just makes the whole round of golf quite a bit more pleasant.
