One of the employees came up and asked if I needed help. I asked a basic question about why some drivers were more expensive than others, and the answer I got was pretty surface-level--basically, "they're newer and have better technology." He offered to let me swing a few, which I did, but then he surprised me by saying, "You might be better off going next door to Roger Dunn Golf Shops." I thought that was weird for one store to be sending me to a competitor... Did I smell? I took his advice, and I'm really glad I did. At Roger Dunn, the experience was on a completely different level. I got fully fitted for clubs using real data--club speed, ball speed, spin rate, trajectory, distance--the whole deal. They had the equipment to actually measure everything and dial in what worked best for my joke of a swing. I was able to try multiple clubs at a variety of prices and compare them side by side in a way and with data that made sense. What really stood out was the time and attention I got. The guy helping me didn't rush, didn't push, and gave genuinely helpful advice the entire time. In a retail world where customer experience often feels like an afterthought, this was the exact opposite. I walked out with a driver that felt right, cost way more than I was intending on spending and more importantly, confidence that I made the right choice. I won't be buying golf stuff anywhere else. Huge thank you to the guy who proved to me with technology, patience, a passion for the game and great communication that you can play as well as you want, as long as you're ready to swipe your card. top notch!

I haven't used that for myself but I did take advantage of that for my kids. I also like their indoor driving range to try out new clubs. I've purchased clothing and golf accessories here as well and they have a super great selection and variety. After trying a few clubs we determined to purchase a driver and a couple of fairway woods. We started discussing irons and Steve suggested that we wait to order those. He sent me to get a few lessons with a great PGA instructor and to work on my stance and swing. He shared with me to come back after those lessons and then we could figure out the "proper clubs" for me once I was able work on re-learning a proper stance. 6 weeks later I returned to the shop and we determined the correct clubs, shafts and hozzle angle to complete my set. When completed, I not only had a new set up clubs but improved my handicap by 8 strokes. Since that time I have moved out of state however I just ordered two additional clubs that Steve will be ordering and have mailed to me 1,800 miles away from the shop. I've never met a more knowledgeable golf fitter that puts his customer's satisfaction as his first priority. Kyle is the best club fitter I have ever met. He took extra time to even help me with some questions I had with my golf swing. If you need to get your clubs fitted or even need help with your swing his advice was dead on. The facility here is also very nice and welcoming. From the moment you walk in the door your not rushed at all, and they also carry top notch equipment to try out. Its nice to know now I dont have to worry about exchanging my clubs within 90 days at Roger Dunns because every club Kyle recommended was a perfect match especially after fitting. I am a 1.3 Handicap who goes to No Bogey's for everything! Grips, fittings and my new set of irons I just purchased. The Owner, Kyle, knows his stuff and will go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of and leave with the information and equipment you need. You can truly tell that this sport is his passion. Never pushy and is just down to earth to talk to. No Sales pitches. If you want to buy something... cool... if not... no problem! The shop has a huge inventory, prices were very fair, and it's obvious these guys actually live and breathe bodyboarding--not just sell equipment. If you're into bodyboarding, this should be your first stop. I also noticed a couple of negative reviews complaining that inexpensive boards folded and the shop wouldn't replace them. As someone who's been around surfing and bodyboarding for a long time, that's not really how this works. Bodyboards come in a wide range of constructions and price points, from beginner models to high-performance boards with stringers and premium materials. The cheaper boards simply aren't designed to perform or last like higher-end models. That's a product choice, not a shop issue. No one expects a surf shop to replace a surfboard that gets broken in the waves, and bodyboards are no different. I'm a big believer in supporting local businesses, especially ones run by people who genuinely know their craft. 662 has earned a customer for life. We'll definitely be back.
