Got fitted at NoBogeys after seeing it listed on the Golf Digest list. I waited a full year before writing this review to give it some time with the fitment recommendations. Got fitted by the Younger Kyle (not the Owner) and the session was worse than a fitting at a big box like Roger Dunn or Dicks Sporting Goods. For the iron fitting, the length/lie angle measurements were helpful. But He didn't even discuss dispersion, launch angles, spin rates, numbers or anything. It just felt like he was pushing me to try out all the more expensive iron heads (Miura, Protoconcepts ,etc) and steel fiber shafts that would all be huge upcharges. He didn't even have me try out any Taylormade or Titleist options until i specifically asked (I'm assuming they don't get as good of a commission for these brands). Also, he fitted me for incorrect flex. I have a 100-105 driver swing speed and struggle with a heavy hook on misses. He kept insisting that regular flex would suit my swing more. I ended up with a House of Forged driver shaft in Regular flex but it made Driver control even more terrible. Stuck with it for 8 months but just a big waste of $300. I've gotten a couple more fittings at other places in the past few months and they all agreed that the fitting at NoBogeys definately steered me in the wrong direction. Ended up with a heavier stiff shaft tipped 1" and I'm finally back to hitting some straight drives. Only added one star because the Owner Kyle straightened out my putter and seems more knowledgable. PS. Watch some fitting videos on Youtube beforehand so you know what to look for and questions to ask. I should have came into the fitting more prepared so it wasn't a complete waste. read more

Initially got an iron fitting with Kyle R. including irons and wedges. The first thing they do is fit the shaft using a Wilson AI shaft. We tried a variety of shafts and settled on a House of Forged (made by LA Golf) shaft. Hit a variety of irons including Ping, Callaway, Mizuno, TaylorMade, Miura, Titleist, Wilson, etc. Anything I wanted to try. It was close between Titleist T100s and Wilson Staffs. Went with a blended set. Went back to get a driver, fairway wood and putter fitting and to re-hit the two irons I had narrowed down. Settled on a Ping G440 driver, Ping G440 4W and Cobra KingTec 3 Driving iron as well as Wilson Staff irons in a blended set and Vokey wedges based on gapping. Never felt pressured to buy anything in particular. They have a myriad of shafts and club heads. They do have their own NBG irons and I think a relationship with HoF shafts. However, they are more than happy to fit you in more OEM related equipment as well. They were happy to discuss any results including dispersion, launch, spin, length, lie angle, etc. but I was really just trusting my fitter. I would research clubs in advance and understand what you want as far as playability, distance, feel, workability and budget. Also, in irons especially, they all come in different loft angles and can produce drastically different results. Some 6 irons I hit were 30 degrees (Mizunos) whereas some were more a standard 34. Can make a big difference in distance but I was really focused on dispersion and feel. I also like the fact that they start with the shaft fitting versus the clubhead as I feel the shaft is much more important than the clubhead. They did not steer me towards shaft pureing as they thought it was unnecessary although they were happy to do it. Prices are comparable to what you would pay for a similar setup from an OEM based on my research. I just went with what I hit the best and what felt the best. I have played 90+ holes over 6 days with the new irons, wedges and driver (ordered the 4W, 3I later) and they performed wonderfully. Super happy with my purchase and I do love that they back up any purchase with a 100 day playability guarantee. read more

I have been playing PXG irons and Titleist woods for nearly 5 years now. They are good clubs, and I was fit for them. But, technology has changed, and, I went to get fit to see what the best tech was for my game. All in all, it was a great experience. I was worried I'd be "upsold" on the most expensive and latest and greatest. But, after hitting some "base line" shots, to give Kyle Richter and Justin Funakura something to start with, I ended up getting fit into some Cobra Irons, with a stock shaft. So they actually saved me money. Plus, I got some "private label" No Bogeys wedges, which I found out from watching on Instagram, Freddie Couples is now playing. I typically don't leave reviews but my experience with this place was bad. If you're going in for club fitting be prepared to buy all the clubs recommended (at a substantial markup) at the end. The only thing I was provided at the end of the $200 session I paid for was a receipt for the clubs and shafts they suggested. I had to call twice to get them to send me the data from my session and it wasn't accurate at all. I requested a refund but never received a response. I really wanted this to be a great experience but unfortunately I feel like it was a total waste of time and money. read more

When in for a club fitting, Have been to Club Champion (Newport Beach and Corona) also Cool Clubs in Irvine. Fitting experience was "on par" nothing out of the ordinary. Ended up with a Stealth 2 and a (somewhat weird) House of Forge shaft. After several weeks, results with the new driver are "good" not outstanding. Put a new shaft in my old Cobra driver and changed the weight in my TSi2 driver, currently getting very similar results with all three. Pros: was able to narrow in on best optio(s) fairly quickly in spite of a lot of mis-hits on my part. Cons: had to schedule (and pay for) two fitting sessions, sessions seemed short and a little rushed. Also, no final adjustment on deliver or follow-up after delivery. would expect this for a $1K++ driver. read more

I love going to this place. It's the next step up from going to the range and while it is a bit more money you get so much more out of it than just smashing buckets of balls. Everyone that I've met that works there is incredibly helpful and nice. The club fitting and club making his second to none. They have just about every option you could imagine. When it comes to the track man experience you can get so much out of your game by visualizing your swing and getting all of the resulting statistics as you make a little changes that net big results.
