I had the beet fresh juice with I think celery and carrot. I wish I would have asked for a splash of lime, but oh well. I liked it. It was more expensive than what I'm used to paying in Texas, but that's to be expected. For me they only taste good cold, but for the size I got it was too warm on the bottom to finish. Not a huge fan of this place. I tried the 'Smooth Strawberry' smoothie. The flavor wasn't that great. It was bitter and didn't even taste like strawberry so I was quite disappointed. You can choose to add sweetener (agave or dates or none) and you can choose between almond, soy, or hemp milk for the smoothies that require you to decide. My faves are: Mr. Greengenes (mango, banana, nut milk, spinach, kale, no sweetener) and Joyful Almond (nut milk, almond butter, cacao nibs, banana, frozen coconut milk). First stop in NYC, yesssssss! I wasn't even sure if this was the best place for juices, but I soon found out, this was perfection in a coconut shell. I was feeling dehydrated and this little beauty hydrated me up real good!! It's on the pricier side $6-$10. Oh man, but you do get what you pay for. I instantaneously felt rejuvenated. Too bad I was so jet-lagged, nothing could repair the crankiness I felt from the inability to sleep since we couldn't check in until 1pm and we had 3 hours to go. This is my go to spot in NYC. I love that this place has wheatgrass! Yay! I also love the acia bowls and the prepared vegan plates. Also the shots are great. The defender and le detox are my favorites. The staff here is awesome! Hopefully I will see this brand in other cities one day, although I do wish the apples were organic but all the fresh pressed juices are organic and most of the produce. I had an aloha açaí bowl which was really delicious. It's a bit pricey but it's Manhattan so that shouldn't be shocking. My toddler enjoyed it as well so that was a plus! They also have a watermelon smoothie I used to order that I enjoy in the summer months. A small Juice Generation located in Hells Kitchen - very friendly staff who were able to help with the menu. The tropical lust juicy is absolutely amazing - super light and refreshing taste. The cocoa acai bowl is to die for - the bowls require a little bit of wait to be made, but they are worth it! The cocoa acai bowl is topped with sliced bananas, coconut flakes, cacao nibs and hemp granola. All of the ingredients are prepared fresh and made to order. The acai bowl was absolutely amazing - I went back the next morning and ordered the same exact thing. By far the best Juice Generation location -- when you walk in and the guys are all laughing and having a good time at work, I know it's a place where I want to take my money! The person at the counter was patient with me and gave me options (which I never knew I had even though I went to the WV one rather often!) and I had my smoothie within minutes despite the line before me. First time I had hemp milk and it wasn't bad at all in the power berry. Happy I work close to a Juice Generation again, and this one in particular! Lovely service, small space, great smoothies! My personal favourite is the Green Guardian - which is incredibly nutritious and filling and makes you feel wonderful. I've tried their Kale Kolada (for which I got to pick my own coconut! They fill up the coconut shell with a coconut kale spinach banana smoothie) Their 'Farmacy' range is also pretty stellar. The Cold Warrior is a great respite if you're feeling sniffly. A star off for being quite pricey ($7-10 a smoothie). I came here just for the gluten free baked goods, namely the Matcha donuts (I have an obsession with matcha). Wow, what a disappointment. I got 2 poptarts and 2 matcha donuts. The poptarts are eh, but the donuts really taste like cardboard with some nondescript glaze. Literal cardboard. I even shared with a friend to make sure I wasn't crazy. Worst service ever. I visit the store today with a friend cause I was in the mood to get an açai bowl and my friend recommended that place, my friend step in and I stay outside with an open door to have a look on the options as I didn't have a face mask and so I see a server behind the counter tall guy, he didn't even say hi and had a look like was not happy to sever more people obviously, so literally as I was standing outside again cause I didn't have mask he ask me to put one (why someone will force you to put a mask when he doesn't know you) and so I said that I don't have one and that's why I'm not going in. As I was waiting for my food outside I kept watching if my food is getting ready so I can let my friend know and pick it up, In the meantime I see a banana on the floor and his picking it up like nothing happens, I was very curious to see what's next and as I was looking he turns back to me with a very bad attitude and question me if I'm ok and why I'm looking at him. My answer was very simple " I'm just looking if the food is ready" and I still stand outside. I m not sure why but as I m talking to my friend at time passes, the server he leaves his counter and jumps outside not to deliver my food, but to question me why I'm angry when I actually didn't even knew that person, but let's be realistic he might knew me so he assumed I was somehow angry with something but again is not my buddy or someone I will report to. Obviously I was so surprised with that bad behaviour and shocked that someone who is working in a place will ever come to give me an attitude because I'm looking inside to check if my food is ready. He even took of his mask to talk to me and came very close, when originally I made a point that I'm not wearing one and that's why I m waiting outside. Working in a restaurant business and also being a customer I found that behaviour very nasty and unprofessional, and I strongly believe you shouldn't make your customers feel like have been attacked so they can return. My friend even apologise for me, something that I found out later and still the server was not willing to apologise for his behaviour. I strongly believe you can teach knowledge but not attitude, and I'm sorry you did wrong choice to get the wrong person at the wrong position but that server is making your business loosing guests for sure. Coming from Los Angeles, I was overwhelm the amount of food choices NY has to offer. I eat very clean and healthy. My travel partners want eggs and bacon for breakfast. I just want a smoothie too have clean energy without a crash and enjoy the city. Thanks to this place I start my morning with a energizing breakfast. My favorite is the Aloha Acai bowl, it's like a smoothie bowl top with pineapple, kiwi, bananas, bee pollen, and granola. It is so delicious and makes you feel great. My 4 year old daughter has had their smoothies, and we tried a few different ones. Although they had all been great, my favorite are the bowls. The prices are a little high which is expected when you use fresh fruits/veggies. But people spend $3-$5 on coffee for a stimulate and energy. I am spending $8.50 for a complete breakfast that has keep me full for 5+ hours and has gave me constant energy to walk 6-8 miles a day pushing a stroller. I can eat all my meals here since they have sandwich and soup choices, but my hubby and friends want dinners at high end restaurants. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more
