I'd never seen this place come up when I searched for a smoothie spot before, so I decided to give them a try. The place is clean and you can tel they're still getting settled. The gentleman that assisted me is the owner, Mo. He was very nice. He gave me alternative options for some of the ingredients that they didn't have. They've been one for about two months and will have additional add-on options available soon, such as sea moss. The prices are very reasonable compared some other places, and the serving sizes are generous. I purchased two juices for myself, and two smoothies, one each for my kiddo and hubby. Mo let me taste the smoothies to make sure they were to my liking. They both taste great. The juices were very good also. I'll definitely be back.

This piqued my interest to find out more about the company, and I came to learn that they specialized in açaí bowls. I was working in Westchester the other day and noticed that there was a PB in here in Tarrytown, so I decided to head over and check them out for lunch. This PB is located on Main St in the heart of Tarrytown's commercial hub. Walking in, you're immediately greeted by the menu and ordering counter/production. The aesthetics were bright, with mostly light blues and grey wood tones throughout the space. The large windows in the front let a lot of light in, and there are stools that line the perimeter. While açaí and pitaya bowls are the star of the menu, PB also serves smoothies, juices, and coffee. Additionally, they carry snacks made by various companies. I was here for an açaí bowl; they have a large selection with all of them containing the açaí base along with banana and other components. The tropical bowl looked good - in addition to the açaí and banana, it contained granola, pineapple, coconut flakes, and honey. I really enjoyed it - it was a generous portion without being too big, the fruit was fresh, and it played against the cold açaí and crunchy granola. Service was fast and friendly; I decided to take my order to go and they provided a lid and bag for easy transport. Overall, I was impressed with my first Playa Bowls experience - they have a large variety, and the ability to have multiple flavor combinations keeps every visit fresh. I'm looking forward to them opening in White Plains and exploring more of their menu.

First off, I had no idea that this was a Bronx-based business - that made me extra excited to try one of their selections. Browsing the menu, they have a nice variety of smoothies and juices and also guide you as to the benefits of some (immune boost, protein, etc). I was browsing and their Berry Pink stood out. This was one of their monthly specials and had a mix of strawberry, peach, orange, chia seeds, almonds, and coconut water. The smoothie was really good; the flavors worked well together and was still nice and cold even though I ordered delivery. Overall I was really impressed with Freckle's. While I seldom go for a smoothie, it's nice to know that this Bronx-born businesses has expanded to White Plains. I would definitely return for another beverage and to explore more of their menu.

Easily head to this City Center location in downtown White Plains on Level 3 to get your take-away pressed juices, smoothies or shots. The kid easily picked up her 12-pack with a complimentary reusable bag at that. I'd ask if this location also serves savory items like soups and bites similar to their Bronx location. There was a 'pick-up-by' hiccup with my daughter's order- but folks here managed to fixed that ASAP. There was some confusion from my daughter's part where she didn't select the correct location- but again, folks here prepped a brand new 12-pressed juice and smoothie pack to pick up New Year's Eve with no hassle. The owner is the one making and running everything, and you can tell wants it to feel like a local run shop, which it is, vs. commercial (like a big, franchise smoothie shop). We got a strawberry banana smoothie with peanut butter, and an açaí bowl. She told us everything is organic from the fruit, sweeteners, and toppings down to the milks she uses. It was delicious and so happy to have a local shop for smoothies, açaí bowls and more nearby.
