This is one of the dopest (pun intended) coffee shops I've ever been to. The shop was located a block away from my hotel on Broadway. As soon as I booked my trip, I made it my mission to visit. I went early in the morning shortly after they opened, and there was no wait. I ordered the Snoop Dreams Latte (caramel) with what they call the "F*ck It" level of THC infusion -- 50mg of sativa... and bruh, that bih hit!!! So much so that I was thinking about it all day and grabbed another one once I returned to my hotel after a long day. This time there was a bit of a line, but it was well worth the wait. I grabbed a T-shirt souvenir and a strawberries-and-cream EMS Rice Krispy treat. I nearly ate the entire thing but saved half for my wife to try. The vibes were mellow -- very groovy, hippie energy. Seating is limited, and unfortunately there's no smoking inside. They don't carry flower, but they do offer a few gummy and pre-roll options. The staff was super friendly. I met three different team members in one day, and each gave a laid-back, welcoming vibe. Even when the shop got busy, the two working kept their cool and gave that same energy to every customer. This place is so cute and edgy upon walking in - it's a little stoners hideaway. They have edible baked goods with different amounts of THC - those looked delicious but a little too pricey for homemade non branded in my taste. The coffee and teas and lemonades I found to be more affordable - there were 5 different infusion amounts with various prices. I did the 25 mg since it was hot and I was going to a concert - as someone who microdoses on edibles - I think I should of done 50 mg as I could feel the high but not in the way that I wanted to for a 18$ drink. The lemonade that I got was good but I am sad they were out of the blue raspberry syrup as that is what I really wanted! Wake-n-Bakery is such a great concept! They do baked goods that are infused as well as coffee and teas. I went in here to check out what all the fuss was about and loved the experience! Staff is very friendly and accomodating. If you're a beginner with infusions they will talk you through it all, so no worries. They also have non-infused options as well, which I love! I was surprised at how incredible their coffee was here. They pull the espresso perfectly and make such great drinks! I've tried some lemonades, coffees, and a few treats here and have really enjoyed everything I've had. Ambiance is very chill. They even have coloring books and some board games you can enjoy while you enjoy your drinks and treats. Definitely worth checking out! read more

So I finally had a chance to stop by Wake n Bakery and I was so impressed. I loved the graffiti styled art on the walls, as well as the lounge area for if you plan on hanging out. The staff is super helpful and friendly with all questions pertaining to ordering and adding the right dosage to your drink. They have a great selection of drink options and flavors, and they also sell freshly baked edibles, gummies, and pre rolls as well. Really cute and unique concept! Definitely some flaws though... For starters, don't be scared by the amount of milligrams they put in the drinks- I have gotten the 60mg drink three times now, and there is absolutely no way it's 60mg. Since this isn't technically federally legal (delta 8 is legal but a grey area), there's no regulation to see what you're actually getting in each drink. I go in to Wake N Bakery knowing this- so I'm cool with that. But any tourists or people trying delta or cannabis for the first time here might feel a bit ripped off . Until cannabis is federally legal and regulated, you're going to run into a ton of shops that claim they have the strongest products, certain mg levels, etc, but in reality none of this is actually tested and regulated. I'm aware $20+ for a chai tea is insane, but I at least know what I'm getting, and I accept it. I actually like Wake N Bakery for a quick grab and go drink. I'm not couch-ridden from a 60mg chai tea like I would be from a 60mg edible from a dispensary. But the prices make you think otherwise. We've also tried the edibles before too, I got the fruity pebble rice crispy and the monster cookie. The monster cookie, really didn't taste like anything, we didn't finish it. The fruity pebble rice crispy treat was outstanding! But again, don't go in believing the milligrams and amounts are exact, you're going to be disappointed. not going to get the same effect. One recommendation is mixing the delta8 in the drinks instead of just pouring it on top. The first sip is supppper bitter, and you realize it's none of your drink. I realize it sounds like I don't like this place... but honestly I really love it and can't stop walking all the way up from Lincoln Park to go here. I'm just aware that what I'm getting is not going to give me the same effect as a dispensary or even if you smoke delta8 itself/make your own edibles. As long as you're aware too.. I really do recommend stopping in for a drink! If thc/delta8 is not your thing, they offer CBD too. Haven't tried that one yet though, and I'll report back if I do! :) read more

They have tons of artwork around the cafe and sell edibles and drinks, as well as pre rolls and apparel. We were able to walk right up to the counter to order. The staff was very knowledgeable and gave us recommendations. I ordered the Strawberry Cough lemonade, my friends got the Snoop's Dream latte, and the Peach tea. The prerolled joints are my favorite and well priced but the disposable vapes are also pretty smooth and effective (def a little more expensive but it'll last for awhile). Every time I've drunken a micro dose drink, I get zooted out of this world but it might just be because of my low tolerance. Just a word of caution I guess. Baristas are always kind and informative about the different drinks and inventory so I appreciate it and the ambiance is always my favorite part. Super colorful and maximalist. Every time I go to wake n bakery, I come out EXCITED! My knowledge of THC and CBD is very limited, but everyone who works at the bakery is so friendly and accommodating. I live in the old town area and I still make the trek to pick up desserts and drinks! This time, I picked up a banana nut muffin and a tea with macadamia nut milk. Both of them were SO good (it's so hard not to have it all at once!). I find the price reasonable but i don't know much about pricing in this field lol. Going into Wake-n-Bakery is always a treat!! Firstly, the staff is AMAZING! They always provide such a fun experience and are extremely helpful in explaining the products. Secondly, their BAKED GOODS are so YUMMY. I've tried 3 flavors (choco, red velvet, and carrot), and all have been so soft, flavorful, and absolutely DELICIOUS. Experience: Came on a nice Friday and the line was fairly long, but it was moving. When we got into the building, the space is small inside. They were so busy that they were saying that items were selling out. As soon as we got to order, there were two people who brought in trays of new baked goods. Have stopped in a few times for coffees and baked goods, each time they were excellent! A lot of the items have the option to add CBD or it is already baked into some of their offerings. Today I ordered lunch for the first time and it, too, was delicious! Staff is super friendly and the interior is cute and cozy (though obviously you cannot currently dine or drink in...thanks, 2020). They eventually hope to obtain a THC license, too, however it seems that may have been delayed to COVID (thanks, 2020). Great small local shop, certainly will continue to patronize and support. The amount of THC that this shop puts in their coffee is really ridiculous. The smallest about they offer is 30 mg!! They label this as a MICRODOSE which is pretty irresponsible when 5mg is what is in a standard edible you buy in a pot shop. None of the amounts in anything are reasonable for someone who is a beginner or casual user and the staff definitely doesn't communicate that to customers. My friend has a bad experience because while she has used marijuana before, she wasn't familiar with dosage amounts and mistakenly assumed the smallest amount would be ok for her. While she has definitely learned her lesson about checking dosage amounts more closely, the store should really be more responsible in how they label the amount of THC in their products and should offer better guidance about how much is appropriate for a non-experienced customer. Adding products with a wider range of amounts of THC starting down at 5mg or even lower would make their offerings accessible to a much wider clientele. read more

This place is fantastic. They have edibles that contain Delta nine if I'm not mistaken, so they can be carried over state lines into Indiana and it is legal. Their drinks have Delta and CBD so again legal to carry over state lines.
