The blend's taste catches you off guard by hitting the back of your throat, is full bodied, and something to sip on and enjoy vs chugging to make it through your work day. The owner, Dudley was patient enough to chat with me over the many blends he has in stock and give me a highlight of the depth of knowledge he has about his beans, and the worldly coffees he offers. I had my three year old with me so we ordered the blackberry brown sugar latte and a kids hot chocolate. She picked out a blueberry muffin and I had a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. That muffin? Excellent. I was honestly a little jealous I couldn't steal it from her. My sandwich was great, exactly what you'd expect from the name. I really enjoyed the latte! It's not a flavor I'd normally go for and almost went for the cookie butter latte but I'm glad I tried something new. As for the hot chocolate--I've never seen my child finish a hot chocolate. Ever. She inhaled it. The shop itself was way bigger than I expected. Super welcoming and open with plenty of space and seating. It was pretty crowded but there was also still plenty of seating. We ended up sitting close to the register (I let my daughter choose where we sat) and the people behind the register were on top of it. One person overheard me tell my daughter I needed to go ask for a to go box and they grabbed one without me having to even get up. They were very kind and attentive! I really appreciated how welcoming the atmosphere was. I'm looking forward to going back soon!

I visited while construction was going on downtown, so parking was a little tricky. I ended up parking on a street about a two minute walk away. No biggie! It was nice weather and I enjoyed the stroll. The tea I ordered was really nice! It was a simple black tea, and they took the time to steep it for the proper amount (~4 min) behind the counter. Loved that! I will say, a large hot tea cost a little over $6.50 with tax, which felt ... excessive. Definitely higher price point than my usual spots! So may or may not come back when I'm in the area, depending on if it feels worth it that day.

They also have a large conference room in the back that looked like it was for larger, private meetings ( I didn't ask if you would need to book a time or reserve that space or not, but it wouldn't hurt to ask!). My daughter had the matcha latte and I had the honeycomb espresso latte. Both were really good. I liked that they ask if you would like sweetener in the matcha latte and that they have a couple of different options, my daughter chose the vanilla flavor. We both ordered ours hot and they both came with beautiful latte art. I like that they have a community chalkboard in the back, that is open for customers to post local community events, motivational/ inspirational quotes, and other helpful information and tips. They have one restroom but it is very big. Parking is located in the back and is free but with the other sounding businesses it seems like it could fill up fast depending on the time and day.

If you are looking for more savory food, I recommend the Sarah Lee Special which is a fantastic avocado toast on bread from Amelia's. As you can tell this is a great local spot to support because not only are you supporting them, but you are supporting other Indy local small businesses as well! Was super excited bc it sounded amazing with the flavoring and the chocolate drizzle. Ultimately was upset because the boy at the bar ended up putting all the flavoring directly into the expression rather than the milk causing me to loose the flavor, also he put what I believe to be the chocolate drizzle into it and stirred it as well. If that's how they make it that if fine but should consider adjusting the description, that's technically not a drizzle. Then I saw him mixing the expresso into the milk, ultimately leaving me sad and disappointed that I was no longer getting my layered drink but instead leaving with a plain latte. I don't know if he was new but yeah, macchiatos aren't mixed. The team however seemed to work very well together, they had a nice flow and moved quickly on the busy Saturday.
