Luckily, the line moved quickly and Emily kept things running smoothly. Emily helped me during my visit and she was incredibly kind and welcoming. I ended up purchasing slices of the sugar cream, s'mores, and confetti pie. Since I can't get my sugar cream pie from Locally Grown Gardens anymore, this has become my go to spot when I'm craving a slice. The shop itself is cozy and clean, with a couple of tables inside if you want to sit and enjoy your pie right away. They have an outdoor seating area that would be perfect for enjoying a slice on a nice summer day. They also have merch available for purchase. I was told the apple dutch pie was to die for but on this day I opted for individual slices. tequila lime this one was my favorite, a spin on a classic key lime! I took my granddaughter to My Sugar Pie for an end of summer, afternoon treat. My Sugar Pie has become an institution in downtown Zionsville, serving the freshest of homemade pies. You can order inside or at a window from the outside. The selection of pies is beautiful and decadent. There were about twelve different options during my visit including the State pie, Sugar Cream. Slices of pie run $6.95 or whole pies run $40 - $48. Customer order pies for special occasions. They also serve coffee and mocktails. I was hoping for a piece of peach pie, but peach was all gone, so I picked out a piece of blueberry/peach. The pie was delicious with fresh blueberries and peaches. I could have eaten another. My granddaughter decided to have ice cream instead. They have a case of ice cream and she picked out a cup of vanilla. The clerk was friendly and happy and rang-up our order quickly. The outdoor seating is adorable in their little garden with pink cafe tables. We sat inside, where it was cooler. There are three tables inside and a cabinet filled with gift items for sale. When I went, they had seasonal specials like a strawberry shortcake and a strawberry mocktail. If you're walking around Zionsville, I recommend stopping to satisfy your sweet tooth! I was in downtown Zionsville one Saturday visiting Hopwood Cellars, and I decided to walk around the shops to browse and see what was available, and I came across My Sugar Pie. My Sugar Pie is a very nice pie shop that is something out of a storybook. I walked in and I could smell the pies right away. The ambiance is beautiful and gorgeous, and reminds me of a shop I grew up with in Virginia that had fresh baked pies and baked goods. The girl behind the counter was very pleasant and professional when she took my order. She has a smile on her face and explained all the flavors of pies available for purchase to me. I decided to go ahead with the French Silk pie slice which is a chocolate pie. When I took a bite of the pie, it was like heaven in my mouth. The pie was smooth and rich, and the texture of the crust was just right. The flavor of the chocolate stood out big time. It was definitely a wonderful treat to myself. I can definitely see why My Sugar Pie is so popular and has gotten public recognition. The pies are amazing and the customer service is wonderful. Oh My Goodness... which pie(s) to go with? They all look sooooo good and actually they all are soooo good. Since they had a special of 3 slices of pie for $16, I felt the need to narrow it down to three. I chose : Peach & Blueberry... what a delicious combination. First time for me, but I would definitely eat that again. Sweet but not overly sweet. The flaky pie crust calms down the sweetness and it's a perfect match in my mind. Rhubarb... I love the slight tartness and as above, the buttery flaky crust goes perfect with it. Sugar Cream Pie... that is my go to in Indiana, I mean it is the state pie, isn't it? I do judge bakeries by this simple yet delicious pie. This one is awesome. I loved the creamy filling again perfectly matched with the crumbly flaky crust. They do know how to make a perfect crust. It's a buttery flaky mess. But that's what makes it good. If your pie crust doesn't flake every which way and crumble into a thousand pieces when you're trying to spear it with a fork, then it's not worth your time. I'm in love with the pie crust here. Best part: they have real whip cream already whipped for you for sale. I highly recommend it. Three pieces of pie and one container of whipped cream together made for an awesome experience. You could probably stretch the whip cream over 4-5 pieaces of pie, but I like to heap it on. read more

My youngest got chocolate chip pie (inhaled it), my middle s'more pie which he was talking about before we even got inside, my eldest Dutch apple, and I went with blueberry/peach based on the recommendation of the young lady working the counter (excellent recommendation thank you!). I didn't get a chance to try the others they disappeared so quickly, but my middle son was able to try three (so he wasn't able to try chocolate chip pie) he rated them as his fav Dutch apple, then blueberry/peach, and then smore pie. I love everything about My Sugar Pie! The website is super easy to navigate and I have never had less than a stellar experience, regardless of flavor I chose! Once the order is placed, pick up is a breeze. It's located on a cute little side street in Zionsville, so lots of fun to be had from the car to pie shop! I think the packaging is sweet, a little polka dotted gross grain ribbon tied in a bow, which is great if you're going straight to somewhere you need a darling hostess gift! Also dont forget to grab a tub of the homemade whipped topping available in their little on-store refrigerator! Cute little shop in Zionsville. Went up get truffles from another shop and saw this across the street. Bought a peach blueberry strudel pie. Very good! Filling is nice and firm not runny all. Crust is good and flaky. The strusel topping is a bit sweet for me but my husband loves it, even eating pie for breakfast. The pies come in glass pie plates, which you can get $1 off next pie but we don't live in Zionsville. Next time near there will get more pie. read more

A quaint little bakery in a quaint little town. I came to Zionsville in search of sugar cream pie. The other place I stopped didn't have any, and seemed surprised that I had heard they made it. I had to wait for My Sugar Pie to open (10am.) It's a little shop, nice and clean inside, plenty of other interesting baked goods. But hey, I needed pie, so I got a whole one. It was very good, but not great. Now, I'm judging against my grandmother's sugar cream pie, an almost impossible standard to meet. But Indiana is full of sugar cream pies, and so you had better be really good. This is fine- get a slice, or a whole pie for a party. Crust is flaky, filling is creamy and sweet. $27 for a whole pie is actually pretty reasonable. Plus it comes in a sturdy, stylish box, and you keep the nice glass piepan. I ate some, shared some with family. But: one of grandmother's pies, I would have eaten half of on the first day, and polished it off before the second day passed. This one, I'm still sitting on a piece, and that's after having given away half of the pie. So, yeah. Good, not great. I've seen their delivery trucks around Indy, so check that what you're eating at a restaurant was house-made. If it's not, well, at least know you're getting a pretty good pie. read more

My sister and I came here and planned to just get one slice each but, we couldn't just choose one flavor so we bought four different flavors (and I still wanted to try the other flavors too). They have so many flavor options and some of them change with the seasons. We got blueberry peach, chocolate chip, and two triple berry. Every single one was delicious! Besides each of the fillings being delightful, I was more impressed with how soft, flaky, and flavorful the crust was. In my opinion, the crust can make the difference between a good and bad pie. My Sugar Pie's crust was perfection and each of the fillings were so good. Now, they have two different crust topping options, they have the traditional lattice as well as crumble toppings on some of the flavors. Both crust options were spot on! My Sugar Pie does take orders and I plan to order about 7 for myself for Thanksgiving. In case you were wondering, these pies are slap your mama in the face good. I've had the mixed berry, apple, the traditional Hoosier Sugar Cream, and chocolate chip pie. My mom said the mixed berry pie tastes like the berries were picked right off the vine and I agree, it was delightful! The sugar cream pie tastes like egg nog, it was so good and very rich. The apple pie was also good. I personally didn't love the chocolate chip pie but that was my son's favorite. It was too sweet and one-dimensional for me. I needed some other flavor to balance the sugar but it's probably a safe choice for picky kids. The crust is so light and flaky on all the pies. I work in zionsville. I'm not sure why I took me so long to discover that they serve PIE BY THE SLICE but thanks to a coworker we took an afternoon trip over to try some. First of all - adorable store front. Complete with patio tables and cafe lighting. As soon as you walk in the sweet smells encapsulate your sense. It was hard to pick just one piece of pie. They have a rather extensive menu but they had many flavors available today when we went in. I had the kentucky pie - a pecan pie with chocolate chips and bourbon. What a disappointing experience. I placed an order for two pies on Tuesday for pickup today. I have family visiting from Seattle and I was throwing a birthday party. Made the 30 min drive to Zionsville just to be told they don't have record of the order. I paid for them ahead of time...was charged $64 for them....and no pies! No solution was offered besides buying one of the few flavors they had available. I couldn't even get a refund bc the employees were not authorized. I was given a pamphlet with contact information to follow up on my refund... So now I wasted over an hour of my day, am currently out $64, and may have to chase down money for products I never received. read more

There's a great little shop on Pine Street that has a wide variety of pies, sold by the slice or whole. There are more than 3 dozen varieties available, many in either lattice crust or Dutch oven style. (Note: if you want a whole pie for a special occasion, they suggest calling at two days in advance.) On my visit, I had to try the Dutch Red Raspberry "Kisser" pie. Wow! Excellent flavor with a bit of sugar on the crust. Did I say Wow!? The pies are very affordably priced compared to the price of ordering dessert in restaurants ($4 here). Whole pies are mostly in the $23-32 price range which is very reasonable if you have tried making pies yourself. And they do all the work for you! Great food, great and friendly service and they even have their own parking spaces next to the building. For those who aren't in a hurry, there are a few tables inside and they have a few beverages available too. Seriously, if you like pie, do yourself a favor and stop in here!
