Classy back area of the restaurant and bar / Jan 2026

Oh Juliet, you have stolen my heart. You've been on my radar for so long, and yet it took a sub-freezing day, a new year, and a birthday to finally get me in the door. Your expanded dining room with its fun pink flair made me feel immediately welcome, along with the friendly smiles and leg warmers of your host and servers. The light French vibe hit the spot, but the combination of a French style brunch plus EASY gluten and dairy free options just made me incredibly, incredibly happy. The little human and the Tall Man were equally impressed and welcomed. I've had omelettes in France, and this one was cooked to cooked-yet-tender perfection. The addition of French ham/jambon and roasted mushrooms had the umami hit I just needed that cold day. And the gluten free earl grey chocolate chip scone! The scone! I would come back just to eat that. But to top it off, you made a delightfully spicy chai latte with oat milk that had the gingery, tea-forward kick that I look for in a chai. (Thanks to your homemade chai concentrate made from Mem Tea's spicy chai tea!) I loved geeking out with the barista and host about how exactly you make your chai. I sometimes get weird looks when I ask such questions, but I think I found kindred spirits that day. The only slight con might be the slight lack of protein for my mother in law's chilaquiles, but she still appreciated the flavors and had just enough food to be satisfied. Yay high chairs. Yay expansive, warm, quirky, clean, sunlight space. Yay proximity to Bow Market and other fun, local businesses. I'm already considering my next reservation (Resy helps). Merci thanks beaucoup! P.S. Parking is a bit tricky, but parking in front of the nearby school worked out super well on a Saturday morning before the real brunch rush kicked in.

This place is the perfect brunch spot! I love coming here after going to the Union sq farmers market, which is nearby. If you go early enough, you won't need a res but otherwise it gets pretty busy pretty fast. The food is delicious! I love the smoked salmon-related brunch items. The caramelized grapefruit is a must!

I stopped by for brunch and thought it was such a cute spot! I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, which was really tasty. The Dijon mustard had a bold, slightly unique kick, but I actually loved the extra flavor it added. I also tried the London Fog with honey and oat milk--absolutely amazing and perfectly balanced. The service was quick and attentive, and they handled an allergy in our group seamlessly, which we really appreciated.

Juliet has a great atmosphere with aesthetic food, but price does not translate to decent portion sizes and consistent service. But the food was still tasty and I would consider coming back to try the dinner menu. Food: I think the food all around was great. The fluffy eggs and the papas brava were the highlight but the plates overall were not substantial. For example, each omelette was rather small and only came with half a slice of toast. Service: Service was good! We got sat fairly quickly and only had a small blunder of a wrong drink, but nothing major. Atmosphere: This is Juliet's strong point. The decor was very cohesive from the furniture down to the wall paint. It makes the dining experience more up-scale.

My order: GF earl grey scone and iced espresso The review: I arrived and the pastries were casually laid out in the open air when you first walk in. This might be the cause of the dry pastry problem that I've read about in other reviews. The scone ended up being flavorful but very dry. The iced espresso was good and strong! A 20% service fee was automatically charged and they still ask for tip. Leads to a bit of an awkward scenario. Will still go back for coffee! Not sure about the scones.

Came here after a while for dessert and wow have things changed over the years! The food is extremely subpar. They charged $12 for a slice of chocolate cake that was an abysmally sized serving (photo attached) and tasted cold (straight from fridge) and stale. Definitely will not be visiting this place again. Very unfortunate.

Visited today for brunch with my sister and her boyfriend. Had a lovely experience and even said hi to some friends in the bustling space! We split the kale caesar and potatas bravas, and I got the pasta. Everything had the perfect balance of acidity, spice, and saltiness. The stand out for me was the Saffron soda though, which was delightfully sweet and flavorful. If you love saffron and love soda you must try! We each had a different dietary restriction but our waiter Jamie was amazing and the cooks couldn't have been more accommodating! No eggs for me, no dairy for her, and no gluten for him, who has celiac. They thoughtfully put croutons on the side, potato's broiled instead of fried. This way none of the shared dishes had cross contamination and had no reaction. Always a win. Grabbed an orange cranberry muffin on the way out- will be coming back for more!

juliet omelette, tomato baked eggs, earl grey chocolate scone
    Angie Y.

I came here for weekend brunch with my parents and we ordered the juliet omelette, tomato baked eggs, and earl grey chocolate scone for dessert. The omelette had a subtle creamy flavor and a fluffy texture. Our favorite was definitely the tomato baked eggs, as it was flavorful and delicious, and perfect for dipping bread. The scone was also pretty good. Service was very kind, and they even gave us another pastry for free!! Overall a cute and inviting restaurant.

I had a wonderful time the first time I visited in 2024 but I went in May and it was actually so disappointing. We ordered the focaccia and instead we got a dry baguette bc they had run out (they also charged the same), then the steak was cold and we didn't get any aoili that we had ordered with the steak frites. Also the butter was just cold and unspreadable. The service was miserable due to the fact that there was a lack of communication from their end

Food is well-portioned and for the most part reasonably priced, but beware that the aioli coastal option is a just few pieces of smoked salmon and anchovies (a max of $5 worth of toppings, even accounting for the restaurant upcharge) for an extra $16. Vibes are very cute for a date night or a friend get together (think: cozy but spacious wine bar) and service is good, but I would just go with the basic aioli plate next time. 5/5 ambiance 3.5/5 food 1/5 slightly ripped off experience 3.2/5 overall

Food was great, used a lot of cool flavors that I enjoyed. Tried the Ribs, Kale Caesar, Spaghetti Pomodoro, Chef's Special Omelette, and Mussels. All 5/5, the only thing was the kitchen and space seemed very busy and the servers weren't super attentive. The food was delicious and well done though, so I'd still recommend to try it for the food!

Looking for something good to eat and we happened upon this place within walking distance of our hotel. The menu was mysterious online and didn't really represent what we stumbled into that night. We show up and speak to who I believe to be the hostess. We had some nice small talk while we were heading to the table. Half way there she asked where we were from and we told her "the most beautiful land in the world, Memphis, Memphis, Memphis, Memphis". IFKYK. She was like, "no way". Yes way, I say. She then tells us she lived in Memphis for a long time and this place is modeled after a place she waited tables at while she lived there. Turns out she was the owner. I asked what it was and lo and behold she says one of my favorite places in our delightful town. Flight. I then put two and two together and realize why the menu was so hard for me to understand online. It's just like Flight. You can get a made "flight" of foods or drinks or you can build your own flight of food from all of the choices. Now I'm stoked. I love Flight! I had a nice IPA and C had a nice fancy drink too. We both had soups to start. They were pretty good. We both had a flight each after our apps. Food was good, not great. Portions were insane. We probably left half of it there. It felt like such a waste. Had I known that it was going to be so much, I would have ordered a single dish. Each one seemed like a good sized meal in my opinion. My favorite things were the lamb chops and the grit cake that came with one of my dishes. I poked around at the others some but all of these. C's pot pie was interesting with a chicken tender shoved in it. I didn't care of her other two dishes. The Beef Wellington was fair at best. We skipped dessert as we were so damned full already. Nice place, great ownership, I wish the food was better. Very nice steak knife I will add. That means a lot and pushed the star up one. That may sound strange but I don't care. 26 - 65

Our must order items from the menu include seared foie gras (5/5), duck magret a l'Orange (5/5), escargot (5/5), french onion soup (5/5, and steak tartare (4/5). I love using their bread to dip with the escargot and eat with the foie gras as they do not come with carbs. I loved the potato croquette that came with the dish though, creamy on the inside with a crispy exterior. The meat did not fall off and melt, maybe it was just that one day. We ordered drinks--including a pear mocktail--but were brought the wrong ones, and then they attempted to charge us for those incorrect drinks. In hindsight, the cocktail mix-up should have been a warning of what was to come. The pear mocktail itself was also quite bad. The service felt chaotic throughout the night. We asked multiple times for additional servings of steak and fries, but were largely ignored. Meanwhile, nearby large tables were repeatedly served, cleared out entire trays, and still received more attention from staff. For an all-you-can-eat steak frites offering, we each received only one serving despite several requests. As for the food itself, it did not make up for the service. The steak was just okay--some pieces were chewy and overly fatty, though acceptable if refills had actually been provided. The fries, however, were terrible. Our first serving was so hard it was nearly inedible, and the only refill we received was just as bad. I also ordered the spinach risotto, which was slightly better than the steak, but it was so salty I couldn't finish it. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.

I got inspired by watching youtube to make a jambon buerre sandwich - supposedly a popular quick sandwich for Parisians. The sandwich is half a baguette with butter and French bistro ham. I tried searching all over for the French bistro ham with no luck. The only options were online sources with expensive shipping and/or expensive minimum order sizes. Somehow I stumbled upon MA-France nearby in Arlington and they sell jambon-buerre sandwiches. It's a small shop that sells sandwiches, pastries, and a small offering of French food products. Lots of pastries and baked goods like quiche, tarts, cookies, croissants, etc. The cheese offerings were very limited and basic. I can imagine that the cheeses that they sell are the same types and brands that they use for making sandwiches. For example, they sell President brand Brie - that you can also buy at Costco and market basket. Disappointing, but understandable because they can't afford to buy more variety and more expensive offerings without a big enough client base to buy those cheeses before they go bad. Getting back to the sandwich - it was half a baguette with some thick slices of butter and two pieces of French bistro ham. The bread was kind of dense and the crust was more chewy than crispy. I was disappointed that they didn't bother to spread the butter, but if they're not selling enough sandwiches then they're probably keeping the butter in the refrigerator - making it too difficult to spread. When I got home I fixed up the sandwich to my liking. Overall, the sandwich was okay, but not good enough to make me want to go back. At least I was able to solve my hunger for the jambon buerre sandwich.

I was excited to try the "Rouleaux" since they remind me of the eggrolls, my mother learned from her Vietnamese mother-in-law. It was very crispy, which unfortunately is the only good thing I can say about it. The flavor was so off. It's almost as if the ingredients in the Rouleaux were loudly competing for my attention simultaneously! It didn't really melt in your mouth either, it just felt heavy. The other appetizer we ordered was called Dumplings croustillants au poet epics. This was actually worse than first appetizer. I like lemongrass, but MAN the lemongrass was so overpowering.
