Said you have infected tooth. Which I knew. Then another dentist Dr. Suarez comes in to tells I don't have infection and it's just my bite that he needs to fix. When I tried to ask questions because I was confused he makes me made me feel like a total idiot because I didn't understand what he's saying. I had already let them know that I had a hearing disability on my right ear and I don't hear out of it and that I was also afraid of coming to the dentist. So when He is standing on my right side. Cady Brender, the hygienist, made the biggest difference for me. She took her time, checked in with me throughout the cleaning, and explained what she was doing so there were no surprises. She never made me feel rushed or judged for being anxious, and the cleaning was thorough but gentle. Usually I'm counting down until it's over, but this time I actually felt more relaxed than I expected. Dr. Laura Bodnar was also great. She took time to explain what she was seeing and walked me through everything clearly. My teeth are really healthy so I don't see the main dentist often but the couple of interactions I've had with her have been very kind. But my absolute most favorite person to talk to and get my cleanings done with is Huang. She's so down to earth and easy to talk to. She's careful and wont wet you and poke you on accident. She explains everything she does. And the whole cleaning experience feels like a spa! They even give you a hot towel to clean your chin/mouth area up when you're done. There's snacks in there and drinks. Everything is clean and the outside area is adorable. I don't have trouble parking and I don't have to wait. Just walk in and they are ready for my appointment! I saw a video online recently that said it's actually very difficult to find good dentists to do cleanings because many are shady and will only have their dental assistants polish your teeth. I do not have that experience here. The technology is modern and advanced, even some of my old dental places didn't have what they have here. Note: I am a cash paying customer. I do not go through insurance. It's a little expensive compared to other places but you get what you pay for. The experience is much much much better here. And for anyone worried about dealing with people who have accents from their home country, that's also not the case here. They speak fluent English with no accent. Which I know is a weird comment but I think some people care about that. So don't worry about it. It's also super cool that the dentist and hygienist are sisters lol. I know medical practices can get busy. I was called back in a timely manner and again everyone was super friendly and we chatted a little. Then Dr Woo came and made me feel so much better about my teeth! I haven't been to a dentist in years and so I was worried about the damage I may have done. However Dr Woo explained everything so clearly and she was so nice! I felt good at the dentist for the first time in a long time. There is some work to be done but I don't feel so scared about it. She also is very personable and took time just to get to know me. I know ultimately the care provided is what is important but it was just the extra care in me as a person that sold me on becoming a regular patient for my dental needs. After the Dr spent time helping me and doing the cleaning they took X-rays and let me tell you this is the first practice I have not had pain. I have Mandibular Tori which makes X-rays difficult and every other office has always struggled. Not here! I had no issue because they took it into account when setting me up. Finally I had someone come over (sadly I can't remember her name) and talk me through my insurance coverage. Which is soooo helpful, I'm on Medi-cal and struggling. I used to be very anxious at the dentist but they are great helping you to breathe and relax and they are very patient and gentil.
