The inventory was good and I loved the way the employees were always so happy to see me come in. I would have said what a friendly crew worked here. I loved the feeling of the store. It was a great environment. The crew obviously liked each other and it showed. This past year, I was in a car accident and haven't been able to shop. Now that I am back on my feet, I thought I would drop in and visit my favorite store. What a difference a year makes! The place is completely different. Management has changed and not in a good way. The first thing I saw was the person who identified herself as the "manager" kiss a female (on the lips) in the middle of the store! This was not a mother daughter kiss, it was romantic. I know we live in a different world, but I do not care to know anyone's sexual preference and I should not have to. I had my grand daughter with me and she began asking me questions about whether the manager is a lesbian! This woman's behavior was inappropriate and not professional behavior. Aside from the manager's behavior, my store is no longer the same. Many of the same people still work there, but they are not happy. From what I could see, the manager intimidates the staff with the tone she uses when talking to them. I saw one associate driven to tears after the manager gave her a laundry list of duties for her to complete. How much is one person expected to do. Maybe, if the manager stopped talking about the other employee's lack of experience and did her job, she might get more done. I wanted to love my store like I did before, but these people act as if they are abused animals afraid to make a wrong move for fear of punishment. I am going to go back to this store, but I am going to wait until the Goodwill administrators get this store up to par. I know they will. I look forward to seeing happy associates and a manager who knows how to work with people. I will be checking in from time to time. I also plan to write a letter to this manager's supervisor in hopes of getting her some training.

The owner replied, "We do not discriminate." That response wasn't just dismissive--it was offensive. Offering a military discount isn't discrimination. It's a sign of respect for the men and women who've risked--and in many cases, given--their lives for this country. Equating gratitude with discrimination shows a serious lack of awareness, and quite frankly, a lack of respect. What made it even more disappointing is that this store is located in a community where many military families live. These are the parents, spouses, and children who support service members from the home front--often enduring long deployments, uncertainty, and sacrifice themselves. To respond that way in a place so connected to the military is not just tone-deaf--it's disrespectful to the very backbone of this community. If I could give zero stars, I would. This business doesn't deserve even one for the way it treats the very people who make it possible for all of us to live and work freely. Of course, every business has the right to decide its own policies--but customers have the right to support businesses that reflect their values. I was waiting patiently to look at some jewelry, a random regular walks in, came over, and the workers helped her first. She came in after me, yet I was told I had to wait until a cashier was available... so I did and was looked over. The buyer asked me what I was looking at as she looked at several pieces, I told her bc it wasn't much, she asked to see it, and bought it. Totally not ok. I also am now seeing some of your workers snapping photos of the garments/tags/doing research on selling platforms and on sale day having people come in and buy the garments for them. I get it, but still kind of not ok. Also the amount of replica luxury brands you're selling for real luxury designer retail prices is not a good look. In fact, I actually just bought what looked to be real pair of DOUBLE RL jeans for $40, had them authenticated, and sure enough they are Chinese fake from Santee alley. I just wasted $40 on a pair of $2 jeans and you have no returns. Legally, you do have to refund buyers if the garments they are purchasing are replicas as it is a federal offense to sell replicas. I'm not asking for a refund, instead what I am asking is for you to really be careful bc $40 is a lot of money for 1 pair of used jeans. It's my fault for not doing research prior. I was in a hurry and thought they would work for a western model I had today. Now I can't use them and had to spend more money on another pair of jeans. Please, I love your store and I will continue to come in, but take care of your community and really have your pricers do their research on items that you have marked incredibly high for what they are going for on eBay/poshmark. Used frame jeans should not be $79 in your store. Used express dresses that are from 3 years ago with stains and piling should not be $40. Your pricers will make or break your success. Their pricing strategy is going to have your items take up valuable space that other garments that may sell for a reasonable asking price could be occupying. I'm giving you advice bc I too am in the fashion industry. I'm a solo $1.8m annual income owner. I know what works and what doesn't. I've been in the fashion resale/movie rental space since 1999 and have been very successful doing it. I love your concept and your location for the community.
