The crab cookie.
George H.

Worst seafood I've ever had in my life!! Shrimp was over breaded & cooked! Crab cake was over cooked, yet cold & mushy on the inside! It looked like a bad cookie! Tartar sauce was runny like a bad ranch dressing!!

Lunch combo of jumbo shrimp and crab cake. Also had the Mexican Seafood Cocktail which was excellent.

Had a great lunch here after spending time at Caldwell Zoo. Had their Mexican Seafood Cocktail and the $6.50 lunch special combo of jumbo shrimp and crab cake. The hostess and waitresses were cheerful and attentive, and the food was very good. The seafood was all cooked perfectly and the fries were actually really good too! I will definitely be back.

Gumbo. Kind of blah.

Attentive and friendly waitress, great $6.50 lunch prices, and the food was hot and tasted fresh. Someone forgot to put soap in the ladies' restroom, but that's probably not the usual practice. We ordered a bowl of gumbo to share. It was a pretty big bowl for only $4.99, but it lacked flavor. The gumbo base was kind of bland - not spicy at all. Had shrimp, fish, and green bell pepper in it. Some Louisiana hot sauce might have made it taste a little better. Lunch platters were great. Fried to order. I had red snapper and 4 large shrimp with fries & puppies. My fiancé had a crab cake and 6 oysters. Same sides. It was all hot, thin and crispy batter. Pretty good tasting and at a great price. Our waitress left a little personal note on the back of our check too. This place has been here for 10 years. It'll probably survive, so we'll visit again next time we're passing through.

Meet a friend here while passing through. No wait but it did get full quick. Food had good taste and portions. I had the lunch special #1 with crab cake. Plenty of food at a great price. Started with the boudin balls very filling. Next time I pass through I'll stop by again.

One of our favorites, good food. Steaks and baked potato, to cat fish. Good tarter sauce also. Only complaint is no kids meals.

My friend and my girlfriend both ordered their espresso martini that my friend claimed was the best espresso martini in town, while I got the bartender's recommendation of the Animal Style, a pineapple and jalapeño infused tequila with strawberries, cardamom bitters, and a lemon peel garnish. Normally, I hate any drink that is spicy. I cannot stand a Bloody Mary because I don't believe drinks should be allowed to be spicy, but this one, for having jalapeño, is not spicy at all. If anything, it's slightly savory with its tropical flavor. The bartender was great. They have appetizers and tapas as well and as my girlfriend sat down, she really wanted just one of their fresh oysters. I ordered her just one to try and it was $4.25. They gave us the smallest one they could find. The tiniest oyster of all time. I guess size really didn't matter because according to her it was very good. I would go back and have a few more cocktails, but it is a nice place to hang out on the square on a Friday night. A good time to be had by all. RIYL: The finest, most $15ish cocktail you can find.

I was not to hot on the idea of eating at this place since bar food can be a "hit or miss" at it's best. Found the place, especially since we don't get to Tyler that often. Okay, doesn't look like a horrible place, around 3ish, I can do a late lunch, early dinner. Walk in, a couple of people in there, bartender tells us to set wherever we want to. Brings us menus, gets our drinks. The place has a Vietnamese type menu with some really good looking burger sandwiches on it too, so I'm undecided of what I want. The bartender tells us that the burgers are the choice the crowds usually. I got the Sky Burger, I think that is what it was called. Excellent burger and choice. The Chef, owner and the bartender provided excellent service. The bartender was on top of his game always checking on us to see if we needed anything and if we were satisfied. They have a little stage, not a real big place and it looks like the draw the local crowd. They give a Veteran's discount on their menu items which I always ask for and appreciate. It look's like a neighborhood gem. We'll definitely stop back in when we're back in Tyler again because I want to try their fried rice that I saw on the menu.
