The staff at Jumping Jack are awesome and provide the best care possible to the dogs that stay with them! Our pups love swimming in the pool and it's always clean and well-maintained. JJ is top notch!

This is the place to take your dog if your dog is your child. I will live in Austin forever just because Jumping Jack is so great. We have been taking Landry here for 1.5 years, and there is absolutely no better place. Here is a laundry list of reasons why: 1) they are no collar, positive reinforcement only 2) the staff will know your dog, remember their allergies, and love them to pieces. Your dog isn't just a number. 3) all day play (with a sweet nap-time) 4) all dogs are vetted and strategically placed into playgroups, so you know your pup will have best friends and safe play 5) special programs for dogs that don't play well with other dogs and for elderly dogs 6) kiddie pools all summer long 7) additional add-ons like nature hikes (and they will use your own harness!), pool time (they have a huge shallow and deep end pool), baths, and grooming 8) daily photos sent to you of your dog having a blast (and sometimes notes too). You'll get the most ridiculous and best photos of your dog ever (all photos here are from JJ) 9) quick and easy drop off and pickup 10) positive reinforcement only dog training available onsite (that works!) 11) solid dog beds, spacious kennels, and classical music (yes, i asked how they take care/prepare for 4th of july fireworks) 12) easy online reservation system Cons: 1) they can book up fast (because of limited space), probably even more now because of this review!

Jumping Jack is by far the nicest boarding facility I've ever been to. It's doggy heaven! I always recommend this place to my friends and family. Get your dogs name on the list early because it's in high demand. Beautiful outdoor play areas with tons of options/add ons. Ask about the trail. The owner is very helpful and her team is amazing. 10 out of 10

I asked my dog what he thought of his stay here and he said best place everrrrrrr! This place truly is impressive. They have a careful evaluation day where they introduce other dogs slowly to gauge your dog's reaction and play style to determine the best group to place your dog with. They were very accommodating during a last minute emergency where I had to board my dog during the coronavirus outbreak because my daughter had to have emergency surgery and was in the hospital for a week. My Labrador is a dork and is kind of a mess but they dealt with him very well and I was able to concentrate on my daughter and not worry about him, knowing he was in good hands and having fun. They aren't your typical daycare/boarding place in that they concentrate on training as well. God knows my dog needs that. They send pics every afternoon too!

The doggy ranch is attached to a cattle ranch. Hang out and let the cows.

We were thrilled to finally find a safe place for our dogs. We have been searching all over and found this spot about 20 minutes from downtown austin. From the moment you pull into the ranch you are greeted by a beautiful fence welcoming you. On the left is the dog bone shaped pool for dogs. That's right you can book dog birthday parties or meet ups there! Private and perfect social distancing picnic spot. They are taking covid 19 precautions by not allowing bedding or blankets from home and drop off is done through a fence. My two little dashchunds stayed a few days, did daycare a few times and even enjoyed the spa. They came back healthy and happy and i was sent photos everyday. The owner lives on site so it makes it easier to leave them in good hands. Highly recommend this place. Thanks for looking after my pups.

These people are amazing. Our dog is a very shy and sensitive dog and we weren't sure if we were going to be able to have her boarded. We tried Jumping Jack and the staff was so great with our dog. I can't say enough about how much the daily report card with pictures made our first vacation without our dog so much easier. The place is also cute and clean. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

I am a former employee, so I hope to offer a "behind the scenes" point of view. The staff at Jumping Jack are incredibly well-trained on dog language and behavior and they absolutely love your dog. Each dog has notes kept on file so that the staff knows exactly what type of dogs your dog plays well with and prefers. I have worked at several facilities, and Jumping Jack are far and away the most transparent. They consider themselves your dog's advocate and will always let you know what will make your dog's experience more pleasant for them and even let you know if there would be a better fit for your dog elsewhere - they look out for your dog's best interests, no matter what! I will always be a client.

We truly adore Jumping Jack Dog Ranch. They provide us true peace of mind when we travel and board our dog through daily report cards (including pictures), add on services (peanut butter kongs, nature walks, and guaranteed pool time), and detailed information about their medication, stay, and grooming. I could not imagine traveling and leaving my dog anywhere else! I adore how they tailor to different dogs play personality to ensure equal treatmen

Thanks for taking care of my boy! I'm always excited to see pics of him and I know he has a blast there !!!! Definitely my #1 pick for boarding !!! Clean! Nice staff ! Beautiful place. Can't wait to take my boy swimming there on his birthday!

Could not be more happy with our experience here. You feel like you're driving up to dog paradise. We sent our pup here for 7 days. You get a report card sent to your phone everyday with 6-10 photos of their play time. We couldn't take any toys or blankets due to COVID which is understandable. But you can purchase treats for them. Their process of drop off and pick up is safe and social distant. Their facility was so clean compared to other daycares we have been to so it didn't feel like we were sending him back to the pound. Large play areas and a beautiful dog friendly pool. Pool time isn't guaranteed but it seemed he was in it every other day. We even had him groomed the night before we came back and he was spotless. It is a bit more expensive than other places in Austin but we think is worth every penny. We will 100% be returning to Jumping Jack Dog Ranch

Sometimes I've boarded her, which usually causes her to be reluctant the next time we go for day care. Not at Pups and Pals! She is so excited every morning! The daily schedule allows for group play and indoor rest. The staff evaluates the dogs' personalities, size, and energy levels before putting them in a group. Playtime includes best friends, lots of cuddles and kisses, pools in the summer, and always playscapes. They go out anywhere between 6-8 times a day, with breaks in their air conditioned suites. The building is super nice, very new, and the play areas have K9 grass that keeps their paws nice and clean. I especially like that it is hosed every night. BTW there's a groomer onsite! Just a heads up -- it's hard to see the marquis from the 1st street entrance. You really need to know what you're looking for! April and I give Pups and Paws 4 paws up!

Since he was little Mufasa has always had the same dog nanny to walk and play with him every weekday afternoon. My husband and I work long hours out of the house and believe allowing an animal to stay alone is unhealthy emotionally and physically for them. When we relocated from North Austin to South Austin, which is like moving to another city in most Austinities minds, we left behind Mufasa's dog nanny. THREE pet sitters later, all of who are on YELP, we found Capcity Pet Sitting. Capcity Pet Sitting has been a blessing to my peace of mind. I can tell when a person doesn't have the time to really put into caring for a dog and when a company is just in it for the transactional benefit. I brought my 8 month old puppy to training there and a couple play days in preparation for boarding. I then decided to board her over Easter for a last-minute trip instead of leaving her home with my grown son. I booked her boarding on April 3rd for my trip starting on April 14th. My son was very upset about not being able to keep her so on April 10th while she was at a play day, I explained the situation to the kennel and asked if I could just put my $180 boarding deposit towards future play days and cancel the boarding as keeping my son happy was more important to me than boarding my puppy. Well, it turns out that April 5 was the deadline for cancellation. I know for a fact they were not full as I was able to choose her boarding area. The deadline was literally two days after I confirmed and paid the $180 deposit for her boarding, yet I don't remember anyone telling me about the deadline to cancel being two days later. It blows me away that with my unique circumstances, they refused to put my $180 towards future play days as I would've been bringing her there 2 to 3 times a month at $30 a day not to mention the training sessions I would have been booking. I booked it two days before the supposed deadline and a week later, I had to change my mind due to family issues. I was not asking for my money back. I just wanted to be able to use it somewhere else. Lastly please be aware that you are charged for all play days and training sessions when you book the date instead of the day of service. This doesn't seem right. They already have your credit card on file so there's no need to charge you ahead of time. That should be done after the training or play days are completed.

From the assessment: "Given clinical signs and history, suspect recurrent aspiration pneumonia, possibly secondary to vomiting (gastroenteritis, infectious/inflamm/toxin) or concurrent upper respiratory infection" "Has a history of bronchopneumonia after boarding at the same facility in June." This is directly from VCA Tanglewood Animal Hospital. Please see the attached photo of the record for full context. - This is the second time our dog is dangerously sick after visiting this daycare. The first time, we were genuinely concerned -- he was lethargic, vomiting bile, had severe diarrhea, and wouldn't eat. When we called the owner, we were told he probably just needed to "sleep it off", "take him to the vet if you want to waste money", and that he wasn't used to that much play. We trusted that explanation, thinking maybe he was just overwhelmed. We still spent the money to get him checked out. He ended up needing antibiotics and several days of care, and the vet told us that if we'd waited any longer, he would've needed extreme intervention. We still thought it wasn't the daycare's fault. This week, after just 8 hours back at the same daycare, he had the exact same symptoms. The vet concluded that was no coincidence. Whether it's poor sanitation, exposure to illness, or something else -- the odds are this facility made our dog sick. It's not worth the risk to your dog's life or the medical bills. We're devastated, and we wouldn't want anyone else to go through this.
