That was the worst, the guy looks like he doesn't want to be there, he is a grump when you talk to him, and almost like you are bothering him when you come up to the window. We will probably come back but only order online and pick up. Now this isn't the first time, one day we arrived during hours of service and the same guy said not open until 7 pm. Yet hours said, 11am - 9 pm. Also make sure you order online do not expect to be served if you walk up to the window. Very disappointing visit today. We visited The Garden today. I opted for Vietnamese but my lunch companion decided on the Peruvian experience based on what we read last night. She scanned the code and the two items she wanted, the Jumping Lomo tacos and an order of the pork belly were not available on the scan of the QR code. When she was finally able to get the attention of the young man working today (he was on his phone and paying no attention to the window), she said she couldn't find the items through the code. He responded, "what do you want?" She asked for the pork belly and had already opted for the Jumping Lomo via the QR code order and was reluctant to ask for it to be changed to the tacos due to his brusqueness. The food left a lot to be desired. The pork belly was flaccid, no satisfying crispy crunch at all. At $8.99 it was a very small order compared to what we can get at any Mexican or Chinese restaurant back home and a waste of dollars since it ended up in the trash eventually. The Jumping Lomo was okay. Rice was good and with the sauce was pretty yummy. But the chicken was fairly bland and had no seasoning and the pickled onions were over vinegary. Such a shame... I got the steak chaufa. Excellent flavors. Regretted choosing steak. It was a little tough, so I think the chicken or shrimp would have complemented the rice better. If the steak was cut smaller and added right at the end to avoid overcooking, I think the chewing would be less arduous. read more

I have eaten here four or five times -- had it delivered, take-out, and ate in the courtyard. No matter how we got the food, it has been top notch every time. Fresh ingredients, made-to-order, The staff has been friendly every time that we have ordered in-person and the service is fast. The open air courtyard can get busy at peak times, but it's a great experience to stay in The Garden and eat, and even in the peak of summer, the large fans on the ceiling keep the air flowing and the shaded area stays cool. read more

I've been wanting to try this for so long and was so hyped when we made our way to The Garden. Coming from South Florida, Fort Lauderdale area, I've LOVED Lomo and found nothing like it in Pensacola. Unfortunately, this didn't live up to what I was expecting. I believe what I was tasting was soy sauce and it just drenched the steak and took away from any other flavor in the dish. He gave us the wrong ceviche. Empanadas were ok. Steak tacos were mediocre. We had lots left over but couldn't get his attention to get a to-go bag. Other customers also couldn't get his attention. This place was yummmmyyyy! It sits in a food truck park with a covered awning so the space is super unique. I tried the namesake Lomo with steak. You have to try the hot sauce adds so much flavor. Prices are very fair for portions. There isn't much of a service aspect since you walk up to the window and order directly and are given a device that buzzes when food is done. I would definitely return the next time I'm in the Pensacola area. It was my first time trying Peruvian food. Ordered delivery from here, and it's the best ceviche I've had in Pensacola. No sweetness, just lemon, cilantro, a hint of spice. Very good. The steak with peppers is also tasty. I would order both again. Yuca fries felt a bit over fried but that may be personal preference (could really only taste the batter, I prefer them a bit less heavy on batter).
