I honestly feel scammed by this place. A little while back my dryer started making a banging sound, so I called JumpStart to come take a look. They found a broken wheel in the drum and replaced it for $325. I asked if the other wheels looked okay and he said yes. A WEEK later, another wheel broke. They came again and charged me a "discounted" $275 to replace the wheel. Again, I ask if the rest of the wheels are okay- "oh yeah they're fine." Guess what? Another wheel broke the other day. I did NOT call JumpStart to fix it this time. I called Absolute Appliance Services and they replaced the whole wheel kit AND gave me a 90 day warranty for $290! I should have quoted out more places and asked more questions, but this place should be ashamed of itself for taking advantage of me like this. EDIT- The below response from the owner either has me confused with another client or is made up. JumpStart only came to my house for repairs on 8/7 and 8/30 of 2024; fixing 1 wheel each time. I was given a 4 hour arrival window along with the name & photo of who to expect. The service repairman texted his location when on the way. He called LG about the problem in our presence. He offered advice & suggested we replace the fridge rather than repair since the parts cost would be nearly the cost of new. We followed his suggestion. I dealt with 3 separate people at this business and each one was nicer than the last. Unfortunately, the point of a business is not to just be nice. We had a broken dryer and we chose JumpStart from the 3 suggestions given to us by LG. It took 5 days for them to get out to us but that just meant they were busy. No biggie. The tech diagnosed the problem and said they would order the part and get back to us. Eight days later (!!) I got a text from the business with an estimate that needed to be approved BEFORE they would even order the part. I immediately approved it but God knows why they waited 8 days to contact me. Then we had to wait for the part to arrive and only then would they schedule the next appointment so that was another 5 days AFTER they received the part. When the tech finally arrived on a Thursday he discovered that he had not fully diagnosed the problem. He apparently hadn't noticed a difference in the voltage (??) of the unit. They would have to come back to finish the job...after ordering another part, of course. I told the tech (AJ, really nice guy) how they hadn't sent me an estimate for 8 days last time and he said he'd talk to them about getting me an estimate the next day. Nope. I waited til Saturday to call and had to leave a message. It went unreturned. I called again on Monday and left another message. Again, unreturned. Tuesday. Same thing. Wednesday I finally caught someone in the office, got an estimate and approved it. Then and only then did they order the part. Again, they wait for the part to arrive before even scheduling an appointment. So you wait. When AJ came back to finally fix the dryer it had been 36 days since we had first contacted them. 36. Look, I understand their policy of not ordering a part until the estimate is approved. Small businesses need to protect themselves. But why they would wait over a week to get an estimate to a customer and then not answer their phone or return calls is simply beyond me. FWIW, y'know those "windows" of time they schedule for appointments? Only once out of the 3 visits did the tech arrive before that window closed...and that one time he only made it by 5 minutes. First of all I had to initiate all the follow up calls to figure out what was going on with parts ordered and turn around time to get the washer fixed. I already knew the codes and that my washer needed a board but still had to pay the $125 service fee. Yes it was applied toward end cost but still paid. I'm sure if not the end charge would have been higher. They give a 4 hour window which is super long. The guy who put in the part was different than the guy who diagnosed. He was super short and dismissive with my adult daughter. He blamed the diagnostic guy for not noticing one of the prongs was broken on plug. The washer still did not work after the board was replaced. He had an attitude and said he was only there to put in part. WOW is all I have to say on the quality of work and poor customer service for almost $600!!!!! Oh and my daughter reset the gfi and it worked. Another thing missed. read more

Sam is a real Gem, he helped me out with my tenants stackable unit. Sam took apart the stackable, opened up the cover and told me that it had never been worked on before. The dryer igniter went bad and the dryer lint vent was clogged up- Sam not only replaced the igniter for me but he cleared out the sock that was stuck in the dryer vent at no charge! Run, do not walk away from this company!!! I had a 5-year old LG fridge that was under extended warranty due to a class action lawsuit. When my fridge starting running a little hot I called Jumpstart as they were one of the providers that the settlement stated I had to use. After multiple visits from their supposedly trained technician, Manny, I am left with a fridge that has been damaged beyond repair and now needs to be replaced. Scheduling of the repairs was slow and ordering of parts even slower. He forgot to order parts on at least one occasion. There was no sense of urgency to get us up and running. Manny botched the job terribly, attempting to replace multiple boards, compressors and coils on repeated visits, but had no idea of what he was doing. He kept saying that he had done everything right but he finally admitted defeat after over a month and called LG. He then told us that LG stated it was a wiring problem within the door. I had to contact LG myself to follow-up and they took pity on me, agreeing to send out one of their own techs eventually. When he inspected the work he referred to what had been done as a "hack job." The wiring that had been done was a disaster and the fridge was eventually deemed beyond repair, basically "totaled." So I am now in the market for a new fridge. This is after almost 2 months of being without a working one in my kitchen and having to live out of the backup fridge I had to buy for my garage. DO NOT LET this company work on your fridge, especially if you have an LG! The word incompetent does not even begin to cover it. read more
