Recently, my washing machine has been making a terrible banging sound during the spin cycle. I knew I had to get it repaired or replace the machine. I checked appliance repair on Yelp and from the group, I picked Preventive Appliance Repair from your reviews. I called on a Monday morning after an appointment at about 10 AM. Amil answered the phone and he said he'd be here at 1 PM. He got here about 12:30. He checked the basket and it was very bouncy. He had to get the parts to fix it but he had another call. He said he'd do that call and be back at about 3 PM. He was back at about 2:30 with a box with the 4 new suspension rods. I watched as he did his magic. He took out thee old suspension rods from the basket and replaced them. He then put the machine on the drain and spin setting after adding some water. When the spin cycle started, it was as quiet as it was when the machine was new, I found Amil to be a polite, friendly man who had a lot of knowledge about appliances. I am so glad I called him. Our washer was having issues and my wife contacted Amil and he responded right away. He was able to come diagnose the issue and needed to go buy a part to fix it. Due to a holiday weekend, the part store was closed however we were able to schedule for the next available day. How it's Vegas locals! It's Braddah Fred, I normally write reviews about local Restaurants here in Vegas, but I wanted to share this review with everyone that may have issues with your refrigerator. It's June 22nd, 2026, and I had an issue with my old Kenmore refrigerator. It started leaking under the refrigerator a couple of weeks ago. I don't have Home warranty as of yet, but needed to have it repaired. I checked Yelp and found Preventative Appliance Repair. They have five stars by the way that's why I called them. So I got in touch with the owner, Amil. He's a really nice guy just by talking with him and very respectful. He charges $40.00 as an estimate and we set up an appointment for him to come out. He came out last Saturday (06/20/26), He arrived early, showed him the refrigerator and he went right to work, looking the problem. He found out the housing unit that holds the water filter needed to be replaced along with the correct water filter. (by the way, always check to make sure that when you install a new water filter that it matches up with your refrigerator's model number This is important because the wrong water filter nozzle can destroy the housing unit.) Amil ordered the new parts and said he'd be out on Monday. So he came out today, with the new part and water filter. Took out the old part and installed the new water filter housing along with the water filter. He checked to make sure that it wasn't leaking underneath, and that the filter was properly installed He was quick and efficient. It took him less than half an hour to get this done, my total cost $250.00. The parts are covered under a 1 year warranty, I am very pleased with the outcome of the repair. From the moment we called, they were extremely responsive and came out right away, which I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, the issue turned out to be a bigger problem that couldn't be fixed on the spot, but they were very honest and upfront about it instead of trying to push an unnecessary repair. Despite not being able to fix the issue, they only charged $50 for the service call, which I feel is very reasonable and fair. Their professionalism and transparency really stood out. They were incredibly fast in responding to our inquiry. Within an incredibly short time they reached out to schedule an appointment. I explained the issue in detail (and what steps I had already taken to try and diagnose the issue). I sent over the model/serial number and we agreed we thought the issue was possibly the circulation pump/motor. Of course there are never guarantees and it could have been something else, but Amil advised he would order the part so that if it was in fact that issue, he would be able to replace it right away. He was also very transparent and fair about his pricing. A $30 service call to inspect the unit is incredibly low. On top of that, if we chose to get the repair done, the $30 would be included. To replace the pump inducing part/etc was $200. Amil was able to accommodate our schedule and come on a Saturday (unfortunately a few minutes delayed, but he advised us of that as early as possible). When he got there, he was very friendly and courteous. Even taking his shoes off inside the home, very respectful. He was able to get the dishwasher out and the part replaced in mere minutes. He connected everything back and tested and everything worked perfectly. Will undoubtedly 100% be contacting him again in the future for any appliance repairs! A word of advice for anyone BEFORE reaching out to an appliance tech (or any service company); take a few minutes to try and diagnose the problem. Use an AI, take a picture of the model/serial # usually listed by the door and describe your issue. Within minutes and a few basic tests, you can most likely pinpoint the issue. If you then communicate this to the company you want to hire, they will at least have a possible starting point and will frankly be able to resolve your issue faster. I'm not saying this to help the appliance company, but if 10-15 minutes of work can save you the headache of having to wait for a part to be ordered or a second service visit then I would say that's a huge win. The tech Amil showed up 30 mins late. My dishwasher was not draining all the water out after every cycle. After he looked at my Samsung dishwasher for about 10-15mins he didn't not know why it was not draining completely. I think he was expecting a quick fix, like the drain line had something in it that was causing it not to drain completely. But when it wasn't, he didn't want to spend anymore time on it. Like he was in a hurry to get to his next quick fix job. He did not charge me anything but now I'm back to square 1 and trying to figure it out on my own. Not professional at all. I would not recommend. Update.... After Amil seen my review here on yelp. He called me about 2 hrs after leaving my home with a unfixed dishwasher. He asked me if he were to come back over to look at dishwasher more in depth if I would change my yelp review. I told him no thank you. He had his chance and made the discussion to not take care of the dishwasher while he was here. He keep asking me to change my review on him. I respectful decline his offer to come back. This is odd to me because in my opinion he should have looked into issue more in depth while he was looking at the dishwasher. Life is about choice and he made his.
