I could not be happier with the service I received from Special T's! I had previously called another repair place. He told me to disconnect the dryer vent and run it ....then, let him know if I was still having an issue. My washer and dryer are on a platform that I could not move myself. I never called him back. When I called Special T's, Taunya answered the phone. I explained the issue and she was happy to help. She sent Chris out to analyze the intermittent problem. She also called to say he was ahead of schedule and asked if it was OK if he came early. He disassembled the front of the dryer and checked everything out. He made some adjustments to max temperature. He told me if it continues to happen, it's probably a part that is only about $60.He was very thorough and polite. My dishwasher was leaking and I couldn't figure out why. If anyone has dealt with issues like this they are difficult to isolate. Special Ts was awesome they came over, took a look and we tried a few things. Thought it was fixed, ultimately it wasn't. They came back over, no questions, no charge, no dispute jus followed up until it was fixed. Ultimately it ended up being hard water build up on one of the arms, from the naked eye everything looked fine. They got it fixed and stuck through the job until it was finished. Once the tech diagnosed the issue, he showed me what parts needed to be ordered and how much the labor would be. Once I paid, the tech came back a little over a week later to finish the repair. Here's why: The first time I called for a dishwasher repair, Chris showed me what was wrong and how to clear the problem on my own. Since there was nothing wrong with the dishwasher he didn't charge me for a service fee.... That is a RARE kind of customer service that is hard to find. Fast fwd a few years and we needed to have our LG washing machine repaired. I stumbled around on Google trying to remember the name of the business and found Taunya and Chris again. They went above and beyond to get to us at 8am on New Year's Day to diagnose the issue without charging extra for the holiday. Chris had to order parts and come back a few days later, but he showed up on time and fixed some other issues that he noticed as he started to do his work. He just did it because he thought it was the right thing to do instead of nickel and diming us after the fact (if you've ever had your AC repaired, you probably know what I'm talking about). I called Special Ts Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving day, we found that the icemaker was no longer working, just in time to serve warm drink for Thanksgiving. Tonya answered the phone, and told me that she was unfortunately closed for the holiday but was answering all calls. She asked the issue was and what type of fridge I had, she then asked for me to hold on and her technician would jump on the phone Chris answered the phone and and said he previously worked at the same company my fridge was made. He walked me thru testing and hopefully resetting the icemaker. He gave me additional information about what to look for if the issue is more than just the icemaker. He spent 20 min talking me thru and then said to give them another call if it's still not working. It ended up working. They didn't need to do that and they did. And they asked for nothing. Highly recommend Taunya and her team. I got through with the first call and didn't have to leave a message. She got my mom scheduled for the next available time and Chris showed up within the time slot they gave. My mom's freezer had already been down from 2 days prior so he quickly diagnosed the issue, got the part shipped overnight and even squeezed her in the next day evwn though he was booked. The freezer was fixed but unfortunately mom kept complaining about warm water being dispensed. Chris came out again and found another issue. I couldn't be more pleased with the service I got from Special T's! My microwave has been acting funky. The fan ran for over an hour, the lights for the range area went out and then came back on. Then they went out for good. I looked on Yelp and a blast was sent to several businesses asking for a quote. One of the early replies was from Special T's and I decided to go with them for a couple of reasons. The price was quoted up front in the response. The reply also said they could fit me in between noon and 3 PM the next day. I booked the service. Taunya told me in a message that she'dcall when the tech was on his way. About 10 minutes prior to the earliest part of the window I was given for the service, she called and told me Chris was on his way and was about 15 minutes away. In less time than that, Chris arrived. He replaced the blown bulbs. He also explained about the long running time of the microwave's fan. He also suggested the reason why the bulbs blew. He was very pleasant, quite knowledgeable, and I knew in not too long, my probelm would be solved and it was. I highly recommend Special T's for appliance repairs. They're in my contact list now! Most companies nowadays only care about making money, not this one! You can tell they actually care! My dishwasher hasn't been working and started to have a REALLY bad smell coming from it. After calling around to a free different places, I came upon this company. I spoke to Taunya... she is AMAZING! After telling her my issue with my dishwasher, she said she wanted to call one of her guys to see if they can help me then call me back. Within 5 minutes, she called back and helped walk me through the steps to take apart and unclog the pipes. With her help, my dishwasher is now working and I didn't have to pay anything! I thought the drain pump of my dishwasher was broken and needed a replacement. I even got a quote from Taunya in advance. But after Chris checked problem, he showed me the drain pump was not broken, it was just got stuck. He cleaned it up and put it back in. The dishwasher was working again. Due to mom's passing I inherited both washer and dryer machines. Both of them didn't have maintenance upkeep for a while due to her long ongoing illness. On the washer machine I started hearing some noises and decided to call Special T's to come out and check it out. Their response was immediately and Chris checked it and informed me that it needed a new drum plus parts. The washer had some rust from neglect and age and Chris really had a hard time trying to get the drum out. For a number of weeks he came by to work on it, that is how devoted he was to helping me. What impressed me so much he even asked if he could take it home to work on it. I said "yes of course"! After Chris devotedly worked hard on it, he did get the old drum out of it. Tauyna was very nice and kept in touch with me consistently about the status of its ongoing repairs. Both Tauyna and Chris were excellent beyond what I ever expected from a company. They both knew the washer and dryer had a sentimental value to me and it is very true this amazing, wonderful company does treat their customers with the utmost care.
