Price; by far the cheapest ice cream in the valley especially in North Conway, 2. Location; just outside the main drag and right next to where I was staying, literally walked back to the condo after, and 3. Hours; they stayed open later than some of the more farm style places I wanted to try but didn't get to on account of being busy doing nothing. I like that they have a parking lot and a parking lot view of the mountains! Priceless. I will say they need more chocolate based ice cream selections, otherwise there was a good variety of flavors. They also do a monthly kids sundae competition and they advertise the top three sundaes in the menu. So cute! There are a couple benches you can eat on out front, or you can eat inside at a picnic table, there's lots of seating for a roadside ice cream place I would say. And while I was disappointed in my peanut butter ice cream (on account that I don't like peanut butter ice cream) I liked the flavor I got later in the week that was not peanut butter. This is a solid choice in North Conway for sure!

I went for the egg-carton flight, which came with six flavors: Slopeside Mint Chip, Trillium Coffee, Single Origin Chocolate, Honeycomb, Mount Cabot Maple, and one more I can't quite remember. Each scoop had its own personality--bright mint, bold coffee, rich chocolate, and the maple and honeycomb were especially standout. The space itself is a fun little spot, perfect for a hot day. Portions aren't huge, which I actually liked because it felt more like a treat or snack rather than an overload. My only gripe is that the flavors aren't labeled on the carton, so it can be a bit of a guessing game figuring out what you're tasting. Overall though, between the creativity, the locally inspired flavors, and the chance to try a bunch at once, it's absolutely worth the stop if you're in the area.

Is it an ice cream shop or is it a novelty store? IT'S BOTH!…read more The owner must love Halloween. It was June and we loved throwing ourselves into this little store/shop. We love Halloween! And I love Spenceresque type of stores (If you didn't grow up with a Spencer's- think jokey/quirky items, funny socks, etc...) But we really came for the ice cream. I saw a photo of the candy dandy milkshake and I knew we had to stop here. A little disappointed there wasn't more milkshake options but I guess enough. The Candy Dandy was enough for 3 people (although my 3 year old totally thought it was all for him!) It would not have been my first choice but I did enjoy the frosting on the rim of the cup (this was my favorite part.) It was fun! The staff were young and having a good time. Also, very clean establishment and ample parking. Even offer outdoor seating with a nice view.

Didn't realize we were driving about 20 minutes off of 91 but in hindsight it didn't feel like it. As noted above this was an early season foliage trip, and once we got off 91 the trees started to really show its colors. Lots of beautiful scenery along the way with lakes, farm land and old homes. As for Moose Scoops in general it is quite the ice cream place. Looks as if it is established in an old church. A ramp for accessibility which was very helpful for my girlfriend. Lots of ice cream flavors to pick from. I went with three scoops of "I Scream for Cake" in a waffle cone while the girl got one scoop of "Moose Tracks" in a waffle. Haven't had Birthday Cake in ages and I remember why, good in its own way but in moderation. Three scoops was too much for me lol. The girl enjoyed her Moose Tracks, I helped her finish it. Was a nice surprise for both of us with the chocolate kiss at the bottom of the cone. We both enjoyed ourselves and if you are looking for something off the beaten path this is a good spot to go to.

They take part in the yearly maple event in the early spring where maple is demonstrated how it is acquired and collected. The shop is small and in the back you can find the collection tubes and lines where maple is collected during season. They have parking and offer a portapotty outside by the parking lot. They sell touristic items and local items. They had maple in stock, I was able to get dark maple! My favorite for coffees and teas. For a treat, I ordered the Dessert for breakfast which is served at the 12pm. This shop also opens earlier to offer cafe items like pastries, sandwiches and coffees. My treat had toppings of honey crunch cereal, maple drizzle, maple ice cream and the cone was a waffle puff. It was pretty and SWEET! Very large and my partner and I shared it! He ordered a small maple cone, and it was also very tall and enough for the two of us! I do aim to try to attend the maple season collection tour in the early spring! I decided to get a small ice-cream with waffle cone and my partner got the breakfast for desert. I was surprised how big the small maple soft serve was. Maple soft serve was sweet and creamy with full of maple flavor. The breakfast for desert is a pufflecone (bubble waffle shaped into cone) with maple soft serve, cinnamon toast crunch and drizzle of maple syrup. Cinnamon toast crunch adds a crunchy texture on too of sweet and creamy soft serve. The pufflecone paired well with the soft serve. The deserts were delightful and we were stuffed and maybe slightly guilty for having so much desert. I probably have been ok with sharing one small maple soft serve with two people. Service was quick, good and staff were nice. Overall I enjoyed the visit and would return if I'm around the area. We were too stuffed to try their sandwich but I may try it next time I visit.
