I have always been a fan of a good dairy queen blizzard but I was intensely disappointed by the quality of my blizzard. The top half of the blizzard was to absolutely die for but the bottom of it was complete vanilla ice cream. What the heck? I was looking forward to enjoying the rest of my blizzard before realizing how much of a disappointment I was about to face. The portion I did eat was phenomenal but only went downhill from there. Employees are quite uninterested in their jobs but did not take away from the rest of the experience. They are very quick and always get the order right! Food is hot and ice creams are cold and delicious. Portion sizes are wonderful and everyone left happy. Very close to Glen Ellis campground, Storyland, and North Conway shops! Great place to come for a good ice cream and quick service, as long as you can deal with unfriendly employees! read more

Coincidentally came here on opening day when my friends and I arrived in NH on 4/20. There seemed to be one person working at the cash register & others in the back, not sure bc it was the nighttime already? Norman, the worker, was super friendly in taking our orders and even brought our orders to our table! My friends and I didn't expect that as we would usually go up to the counter to get our food. Norman also told us a few places to go to as it's our first time in the state. The food was good and the store was clean. I enjoyed my first DQ experience thanks to Norman! read more

Love their blizzards, but a large now costs like $4.29. Eeeek, that's steep. Much better than the alternatives out there (i.e. McFlurry), so I guess I have no choice. Gluttony wins. The Dairy Queen in North Conway is 10x nicer and more modern. Go to that one instead if you have the time. read more

I typically don't review things like Dairy Queen, but this one was just strange and the only reason they receive two stars is because I love Dairy Queen ice cream. I was up in northern New Hampshire a few weeks ago and stopped here at perhaps nine o' clock PM to grab something to eat maybe, or maybe just ice cream. However when I got there I was delighted to see a hard-written, cardboard cutout of a sign which read "Chef went home. Grill closed. Have a Blizzard instead" Which was fine, by the time I got there I was going to have ice cream anyway. I went when there was a dog show, so needless to say two drunk dog show attendees were in front of me, being loud and obnoxious as any drunk. That's what really made my trip. This was the first location I ever tried DQ and of course I loved it. They have great burgers and onion rings. Also they sell delicious ice cream cakes inside. This location is only open through the spring/summer months so if you want DQ in the winter you have to go to the one down farther in North Conway. Overall I think it is good quality for "fast food" and their is alot to choose from on the menu. read more

Place is clean and close to story land and the campground and no competition in site... But not one person in staff can make a Strawberry milk float even though there me a picture of it on the menu which I pointed out. So instead I order the salted Carmel blizzard and they couldn't get that right either. I'll pass next time. read more

Our 6 blizzards sat in the back on the counter for awhile before they brought them to us. When she turned them upside down, one of them dripped all over the counter. Blizzard soup, bummer. This has to be one of the filthiest restaurants I have set food in. We stopped in for blizzards to eat there. The floor hadn't been swept in some time and the tables were gross. Even more disgusting...small flying insects all over the floor, tables. If for some reason you still decide to go, pay cash. They swipe your debit card under the counter, out of your view. read more

I'll only ever get packaged ice cream here. After the asst. manager took my cash she went into the back. Grabbed a chicken breast without gloves. Began to slice it up, toss it in a salad, put the cover on, sealed it and back to cash register she came to prepare my ice cream. I watched it all in awe. No gloves, no hand washing. read more

The ice cream is fine, this is about lunch type food. I ordered a chicken finger & French fries plate. This ended up being the single worst chicken I have ever been served in my life, and I am 59 years old. Many years ago I was served terrible chicken at an old chain place called Bennigan's which at that time was my all time low point for chicken but this Dairy Queen beats it out. Chicken was rubbery inedible tough, not even certain it was poultry! Stick with ice cream if you need to go here, that is my advice. read more

This Dairy Queen is by far the worst service ever! I went in there and placed my order and one of the Employees did not do his job correctly. I ordered Kids meals for my Kids and they did not get their drinks when I went back to tell the Employee his response was I don't have proof.. For a Chocolate milk and Milk why would someone lie about that? He would not give me the kids drinks and said his Manager would have to contact me in the Morning and told me I came in 4 hours ago when clearly on the receipt it was nowhere near 4 hours ago. Be very wary if you plan on using a credit or debit card at this location. They take your card and swipe it under the counter. Well conveniently, my credit card number has now been stolen and my bank account drained. I would highly recommend against going to this location. read more
