Not quite 5, but a solid 4-4.5 Nice place to grab a beer and a bite. Big menu- but you cannot loose with their Mac n cheese or pretzel bites. Simple pleasures maybe, but what's wrong with that!!?? It's small but they do have covered patio seating, so that nice. The service was fast and polite, again nothing that stood out exceptional but good efficient service. Nice selection of beers on tap. I heard that Junction 52 had ground beef tacos, which are hard to find at restaurants. Most serve shredded beef. At any rate, I thought I'd give it a shot. Got there around 5pm on a Monday and found plenty of seating available. The waitress was prompt coming to take my order. she was very friendly. I ordered a ground beef taco, a carne asada taco and chips with guacamole. All were very good. I'm glad I got there when I did because when I left around 6, it was very busy. The only reason I didn't give 5 star rating is because I'm not into the "head banging" music they had playing. But I'll be going back anyways. read more

Rosie took great care of us today. She was very friendly & attentive. We come here often for lunch, dinner & happy hour. The service is always good. The drinks are good as well. The carne asada tacos & burger are my favorite. We like to sit outside it can get noisy inside at times. Great place in Santee to visit with friends. I have never ordered takeout. This place is absolutely amazing! I have to say eating and having an adult beverage can be difficult when considering atmosphere food quality and all around acceptance. The food here is absolutely amazing. I have tried many things on the menu at this point. I have yet to be disappointed. Lastly the service was exceptional. It is rare to find a place where all staff are pleasant and positive. I highly recommend this restaurant for a cocktail or meal or in my case both! In response to Kim K. I was sitting next to her yesterday and she came in complaining. The bartender was on an emergency call when she came in, for about 2 minutes. The bartender is the best, most aware bartender that works here. The staff here is amazing and the food portions are huge. Customer service in Food proportions. I waited him for five minutes because the bartender was outside on her phone taking a personal call and then she came in and had another personal call and she was on her phone text messaging a couple times the food portions. I had one leather and meat on my French dip. Nothing compares to the junction and Cajon to this place every time I've come to this place it's the service sucks and I've been here at least three times now same poor service same poor portions of food. I will never come here again now I know why the employees don't wanna work over here because the service sucks. read more

The food. The good ol' boys ambiance. The bar and TVs. ALL good! I tend to lean towards the Diablo burger every time which is just bustling with flavor (avo, jalapenos and smokey bacon) along with more fries that I could ever eat (especially after onion rings thick and crusty to start). Hubby tried the Philadelphia cheesesteak which, in his California opinion, was the best that he's had yet. All was washed down with a hazy IPA from their long list of drafts. This a pretty straight forward bar/restaurant with welcoming and simple vibes, they have a good happy hour drink selection so come early and get your money's worth! I ordered a ceaser salad and was able to add gyro meat on top for $4.. it was a very generous portion of meat! this was definitely a filling salad and worth getting again. For not being a greek/Mediterranean restaurant, this place served some solid gyro meat. read more

Went here last Thursday to watch the football game. They had TV everywhere and it was lit !Atmosphere was great, every seat has a great view of a TV ! Our sever KAT was amazing and recommended our food. I myself got the Diablo Burger and made it a double, also got garlic parmesan breadsticks as a appetizer. My buddy got the Buffalo fries with the chicken Pot Stickers and he loved them also! Definitely coming back here on Mondays when they have a Burger deal !! read more

Great food! The chicken and waffles were some of the best we have ever had, the rib eye was cooked to perfection, ceasar salad with grilled chicken was excellent. The burgers were decent but maybe more average, although very hearty at 1/2 lb. The staff was very friendly and food came out quickly. My friends and family have being coming here a couple times a week since covid. always great service and great people. This is more or less a rebuttal to Stacy E's post about a visit in September of this year. I and my friends were also there during this visit. The patron ordered. The bartender repeated her order and the patron said "yes" to confirm. Then the order comes out and it's not right. The kitchen takes it back. it comes out again and she is still not happy. The bartender advises that it came out as she had ordered it. The patron was angry and starts swearing at the bartender loudly. it was awkward. The patron ends up leaving. This patron is known to be difficult at a couple different spots in Santee. The bartender was never rude or disrespectful at any time. read more

**** 4 STARS **** PROS: Happy Hour all day everyday! Prices are reasonable for their food and drinks. The Brussel Sprouts were good. I definitely have had better but I can't complain since every restaurant makes it different. The fish and chips were okay. The batter is a bit too thick for my liking. The fries were crispy but a bit bland. The wings, on the other hand, were the best entree out of the three. I definitely would come back. Ranch is good as well as the freshness of the celery and carrot sticks. Sauces were amazing! I definitely would get them again. CONS: Customer service Ideally we came on a Saturday evening. It was busy but not too chaotic. We were immediately sat. Our waitress approached us rather quickly without allotting enough time for us to review the menu. Once we ordered a few drinks and an app, it took awhile for her to come back and get the rest of our order. Once all the food and drinks arrived, she pretty much hardly checked in on us for the rest of the dining until we were ready to check out. I was refused service because the establishment would not allow my service dog (well identified and well trained) to sit inside the restaurant only outside. I was so angry I left with my guests. This was my first time here. I was working in the area, and thought it would be a good place to check out. The decor is very nice. Your get a warm rustic feel to the place. The bar is fully stocked. A large on tap selection, and a good selection of tequilas. I was still working. So I can't tell you any specifics about the bar. Service was nice. I was seated right away. There is an option to sit in or outside. The waitress I had, was polite addressed me right away. Unfortunately, once I received my drink from her and placed my order I did not see her again, until I flagged her down for the check. So in other words, she never checked my table. Now for the food. I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak and fries. By the way, the fries do not come with the Philly. The Fries had a great crisp and taste to them. The Philly meat itself was bland. The the onions and bell peppers helped the taste of the Philly. Some mushrooms would have helped also. I also ordered the Brussel Sprouts. Now if you're a fan of vinaigrette and Balsamic vinegar. Then get the Brussel Sprouts. This restaurant smothers the Sprouts with it. I am not a fan. So I did not finish them. My wife ordered the Chicken Wings. These were cooked well and tasted okay. She ordered the Garlic Parm. The taste of Garlic Parm was very mild. I expected a more robust taste. Overall, I was disappointed. I do not plan to come back. Second time at Junction 52. Obviously, it was good enough for me to come back. They have a good choice of appetizers. I had mozzarella sticks and sweet potato fries, the kids liked those. The second time my daughter devoured a cheeseburger with bacon. My hangover burger was well made and the fried egg was interesting. The burger was ordered medium but was cooked well done which gave it it a smoky taste. I ordered sweet potato fries probably should of stuck with onion rings. Might try a third visit, we will see. read more

I stopped by Junction 52 last night with a friend as we had been passing through the area and it was time for a drink and some snacks. We lucked out, as there was an outdoor table ready and waiting when we stopped in. Staff was really friendly and checked on us regularly. I'm not a beer drinker, so I was quick to notice the small, but good selection of wines. My friend had trouble picking between the cocktails on the menu and found a tropical drink she enjoyed. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and a couple salads. The mozzarella sticks hit the spot, but were nothing too special. My greek salad, however, was excellent. It had lots of cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, garbanzo beans and feta. Even through we were sitting in a tent in a parking lot, which is typical these days, it felt more like we were actually in a bar. If I were passing through, I would definitely return. read more

Okay, so we are expanding out to El Cajon, and we are at Junction 52 tonight - Courtney was our server, and she was PHENOMINAL! I ordered a carne asada taco, sans pico / onions, for the doggie. The kitchen provided only the carne asado meat ... so Courtney brought not only the missing tortilla, but extra tortilla as well!! Yay!! She treated us like royalty, and Iwe felt so special. Thanks for special night Courtney, and for treating my dog so kindly. I had a delicious chicken burrito taco - TACO TUESDAY!! Special - and it was so tasty, I ordered a second one. Had to share it with the pup, as these tacos were large enough that I could eat only 1.5 of them. Good food at a great price. A total dude in santee's restaurant. TV's line the entire interior of this building. Must be 20 of them inside. There's also a very healthy tap and whiskey list. What makes this more of a dude in santee's restaurant is the menu- fully American. Wife and I tried the prime rib bites. They were so damn good. So tender. The horseradish it was served with was on the mild side, but all in all it was a 5/5. The only thing holding Junction back a bit are the prices. A bit high for santee imo. Service was pretty good though. read more

Been here a few times and it's usually for the drinks and appetizers. I think they're currently running an all day happy hour special where the appetizers and drinks are half off. So that's what we usually get: calamari, meatballs, brussel sprouts (really good), rib tips (my favorite), and junction nachos w/pulled pork (kinda disappointed with this one).
