First time here meet with a friend with family. The food and drinks were good, and the atmosphere was normal for this type of establishment. They have an all day Happy Hour. I would definitely recommend this place.

Since the junction in EL Cajon is still not open after the fire and doesn't look like it has even started construction. We took Dad to the Junction in Santee. All I can say is they are not a duplicate of El Cajon. Service is slow and not as friendly. The food quality is subpar at best. It was taco Tuesday and I ordered two carne asada tacos and a fish taco. The fish taco had a tiny piece of fish and was filled with coleslaw or at least that is what it seemed like. The carne asada was just pot roast beef and tasted old. My wife ordered the Macand cheese with chicken. It was half the size of what we are used to for a higher price. Dad ordered the French dip and was happy with his meal. The ambiance is that of a sports bar with a lot of TVs with a variety of sports on. We had to ask for refills of our drinks twice and we're not asked about the reward phone number. We also forgot and missed out on that. We are hoping things get moving on the El Cajon restaurant. I don't think we will go back.

Sat on the patio and had a lovely lunch of Brussels sprouts and rib tips. Our dog was happy sitting next to us getting fed French fries. Our server was really nice and got to try some burgeon beer we'd never had before. I like to couple going here with a trip to the Goodwill.

My parents-in-law visited us here in San Diego (we are located in Santee atm), and they were craving American food. I came across some great reviews for this place, so I thought, why not give it a try? I ordered the bites steak with Pepsi, my husband and mother-in-law had the tacos, and my father-in-law went for the meatballs with marinara. Honestly, it was my first time having a meat dish without salad or soup, but thankfully they served bread, and I finished everything! Sooo worth it but won't try again or I should get salad and/or soup. The food was delicious, and my family loved what they had. I'm thankful because I was the one who found the restaurant. I didn't capture many photos since everyone was so hungry, haha! They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit outside for a more intimate setting, inside was more like a bar with louder music and several TVs. The server was very nice too. Definitely worth trying this place!

The food is a hit or miss. Not consistent. All 3 of our dinners were bad the last time. I won't go back anymore.

The restaurant was very busy because of Bingo night. I felt like the bartender was having to do too many things at once. I felt bad for him honestly. We sat at the bar so it felt a bit stressful to watch him run around behind the bar. Hope he is able to get some help on a busier night like that night. All in all, I would go back. Nice to know I have a restaurant nearby that has the best potato skins on their happy hour menu.

The Oaks proved to be the perfect venue. When we arrived, the group had commandeered several tables in the dining room. Becky and I bellied up the adjacent large horseshoe shaped bar. The TVs were all tuned to various NFL games. A group of Steelers fans were in the dining room next to our group watching and cheering their team on a giant TV. Becky and I wanted to watch the Seahawks. Mike, Director of the Carlton Oaks Country Club, was happy to put it on one of the many TVs for us. We wanted a snack, so we ordered the Potato Skins. Potato halves filled with cheese, bacon bits and chives. They are cut lengthwise in half for easier dipping and eating. Served with ranch and sour cream for dipping. Bottles of Tapatio, Tabasco and Cholula were provided if you wanted to spice it up. They were quite tasty and the perfect portion size. Price was right too! Because of the acoustics, the dining room can get a little loud. If you just want to chill and take in the view, step outside to the patio. Great views of the golf course. Service at the bar was friendly and on point. The large groups in the dining room were being well taken care of as well.

They have a nice bar area and service was impeccable. Megan, I think, was her name. Many of the patrons here knew her by her first name and seems this place is where locals go. She was on point on everything, best server ever! TVS were all tuned into FIFA so that was great. I ordered a burger and fries ($19) and this came out in a timely fashion. I also had a Luguna wheat beer ($9). Beer wss good and burger was typical, but the bun was more dry than I like. Plenty of parking outside and the place was very open spacious. I'd come back again, but would wanna try something else than the burger and maybe come back for HH as prices were on the higher side.

Every dish that came out was hot, well-presented, and tasted like it was made with real care. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. What really stood out to me was how clean the entire place is. From the tables to the floors to the restrooms, everything was spotless. That alone makes a huge difference when you're enjoying a meal. And the service? Top tier. Lupita went above and beyond. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we walked in. She made sure everything was perfect, checked on us at just the right times, and had such a positive attitude that it elevated the whole experience. I chose the ruben sandwich because I didn't trust the monte cristo description of being Grilled and not battered and deep fried as it should be. Jimmy's does have a good selection of pies and desserts. Cherry pie, Cheesecake, carrot cake, pecan pie. Our order, 2 pepsis, 1 burger, 1 reuben and 2 cherry pies for lunch came to $78 w tip. Our server Jose A. was very good but the sodas were $4.69 EACH. As adults, I think we all know now that soda costs Pennies for a business. If our bill had been $25 less we might go back....but It was NOT worth $80.
