Then I also ordered sweet potato fries to balance out that strange feeling. Damn those were good. I came here for lunch last Sunday with my daughter, puppy, and group of friends. I like how they have a large covered patio that is pet friendly. Now that I'm a puppy mom, I've been gravitating towards restaurants that are pet friendly. I came here with my dad a few years ago and we both had burgers and fries and thought they were really good. For this visit, I went the healthy route and ordered the Kale Quinoa Crunch Salad with grilled chicken added. I didn't care for the salad, as the parmesan cheese was so overpowering that it was the only flavor I tasted. My daughter got the Chinese Chicken Salad, mint chocolate milkshake, and sweet potato fries. She liked her salad, except the chicken was a bit on the dry side. My chicken was moist. Really like this place -- it's always clean and has a ton of great options. I find myself stopping here often, especially when I'm passing by the nearby Home Depot. I can appreciate the attempt, but seriously it's 3/4 rice, hardly any corn and beans, and they can't even mince the cilantro. All of this separate from the abysmal amount of meat in the bowl. This place is a vibe. They have outdoor seating as well as indoor. There's a bar that connects the two areas. There are high top tables, booths, and regular table seating. They have a few TVs around the restaurant where you can catch whatever game is on. There's also plenty of seating and it was easy to find a table on a Friday night. You start by ordering at the counter and they bring your food out to you. The servers were easygoing and nice. My husband and I got the onion stack burger, the southwest chicken sandwich, chili cheese fries, and the short rib fries. The burger and the sandwich were delicious. The burger was nice and juicy with a good bbq sauce and crispy onions. I really liked how the sandwich had different toppings that you normally don't see on a sandwich, like tortilla strips, corn, and beans. I got the guac on the side because I'm allergic to avocado so the chicken was a tad dry but tasted really good still. It had a really nice grilled taste to it. I felt like both of the fries were just okay. They were a little soggy being covered with toppings and honestly I think the regular fries would've been better with the extra sauces we got on the side. The sauces were really good and I love that they aren't an extra cost. My favorite sauce was the Meyer lemon aioli and my husband really liked the sweet chili aioli. The server let us order as many sauces as we wanted and brought them right out to us. I really enjoyed my experience here and I would definitely go back. Shane was really nice and gave good customer service, he answered all our question since it was our first time there and he was very thorough in explaining which direction to follow to get drinks and then flow out to the outdoor seating area. We used to come here regularly when it was the GRUB Burger, so it is hard not to make comparisons. Overall, the food at The Stand was tasty and prices were reasonable. I would definitely come eat here again if I am in the neighborhood. - French Onion Soup Burger ($13.25): This was the best and most unique burger on their menu. The bun was so soft and fresh. The meat patty (which we ordered well-done) was juicy and packed with flavor. The additional au jus was an explosion of savory umami broth. I definitely would recommend that everyone try this. - The Onion Stack Burger ($12.75): This was a yummy burger too (same flavorful and tender meat patty, soft bun), but nothing too special compared to BBQ cheeseburgers at other restaurants. I was debating between this one and the Havarti shroom burger, & I kind of wish I had tried the shroom burger instead because it definitely sounded more interesting. - Onion rings regular ($4.99): Very crunchy batter with tender onions. This location has always been reliable. I've only ever had one hiccup here but the manager fixed it immediately. There's indoor and outdoor seating, both are clean and comfy. There's also seating at the bar, inside and outside, that's good if you're coming alone. The beers on tap are always cold and tasty. There's a good variety of food without being too overwhelming. I've eaten at The Stand at other locations when I lived in LA. I love a place with a good hearty salad. The Cobb chop is full of proteins. The only complaint I have about the salad is that the chicken is dry. I do need a lot of dressing to cover that. But the huge bacon bits are welcomed. I haven't had the burgers so cannot tell you how they are. I do, however, love the fries! When you join the rewards program, the app gives you a free fries. I especially love the various sauces you can request. The jalapeño aioli is a must-order. I can't take much spice but find myself enjoying it tremendously. It goes beyond just spice. You can taste the savoriness of the jalapeño. One thing I want to mention is that there is this one server there that is selective with who to be nice to. He's dismissive and abrupt to myself and the rest of my party but warm and courteous to the table behind me. Really ruins the otherwise good experience. read more

We love the outdoor patio, it's spacious and a great place to watch sports when there's a game on. They have really good "fire fries" and the BEST spicy cucumber margaritas.
