I'm not sure if they have any designated parking nearby since they're "downtown" Greencastle, so we parked around the corner on street and walked over. We were seated right away in a roomy booth, that could easily fit 6, across from the bar and promptly ordered mimosas and waters to get our brunch started. I chose a classic orange juice mimosa and my husband got a cranberry mimosa. They were a great size, the amount that I would pour at home, and were tasty. For breakfast, I decided on the sweet cream pancakes and chose over easy eggs and bacon. They had blueberry or strawberry jam options for the toast, so I chose blueberry. Our server asked if I liked my bacon on the crispier side and I said yes, so she said she would ask for it to be cooked longer. When I say that these were the best pancakes I have ever had, these were the best pancakes I have ever had! My husband had a couple of bites of them and was surprised at how good they were, just being pancakes and not expecting much. Usually, when I get pancakes at a breakfast spot they come out too thick/rubbery or too dry/bland. These were a nice, medium texture without being too big or way too thin and they were moist, flavorful, and sweet. 10/10 and would order them again when we go back. The blueberry jam was tasty, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the bacon was cooked crispy like I had wanted.
My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy, also with over easy eggs, and a side of country potatoes. He chose the strawberry jam for his toast. We each had a couple bites of the other's dish to try them out and we both loved how savory the rosemary gravy was. His eggs were also cooked perfectly and the country potatoes were hot, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The only minor slip up during our visit was that they forgot to bring out the side of potatoes at first, but otherwise a wonderful dining experience.
We were reading the other handful of reviews on Yelp after we ordered since I already had the app open to look at photos of different dishes to help us decide what to get and we were very confused about the bad review claiming all of the food was highly processed and not fresh. All of our food was made to order, hot, and made with fresh ingredients. Can't wait to come back again soon!
