This is my go-to grocer. Many organic and specialty items and they stand by their freshness and quality. This place hearkens back to the days of your neighborhood grocer you know by name and are always happy to see. Go in and have a chat with Sierra while enjoying the complimentary coffee. You won't be sorry. And if you join their monthly membership, you also get 15% credit on all orders at both the cafe and the grocery locations, plus free delivery on qualifying orders. (The cafe by the hospital has hands down the best take-out pizza in town using a 3-day fermented dough free of seed oils.) read more

I am trying to like going there. Got some good produce very expensive. 'Membership' points expire monthly, so no savings for me. Got some $10 chips that expire in five days but are woody hard already and not a pleasure to eat, along with their only hummus I didn't realize from the yellow letters on white background is 'spiced' hummus, I can eat it once because I am hungry and these chips + hummus = $20.00. Sorry, Juneau Natural, you're not for everyone, hope you can stay in business without my help, I really do, and I may occasionally go back but never ever for chips or hummus. read more

I will boycott super foods because of willful disregard for thier customers.

First it's in an open area with several food trucks. Deckhand Daves is first as you enter. I recommend the taco sampler. I ordered this with a side of fries. Fries were nothing special but we devoured the tacos. It's from a small shack, plenty of seating in the wooden deck area covered by Edisson bulbs. There's fresh free water in service. Next to deckhand Dave's is a crepe place, oysters and champagne, and a beer boat. Yes, this place is magical. The attendant was so sweet and friendly, she walked us through the menu which ultimately lead us to pick the sampler. We are so glad we did. Plus this place has gorgeous views of Alaska skyline, waterfalls, and the main part of town. Great place to rest, splurge, and enjoy Alaska at its best.

When she called out the order I didn't go up because what she made had none of the words in the name of what I ordered. When I realized it, she said, "oh, I thought you ordered hazelnut fudge." I politely told her I did not. Rather than make what I ordered and paid for, she just added Cinnamon Toast Crunch pieces to the wrong shake, remixed it and gave it back to me. I'll stick to Glacier Scoops from now on. They have much better service and actually make an effort to get things right.
