Long wait in the drive through. Good coffee. Inside the shop has lots of seating and a good atmosphere.

We stopped in to grab some food. Place is super cute and the young girl kindly took our order (breakfast sandwich and a turkey club). We waited...and waited...and waited. No one said anything. We inquired after 25 minutes to another young girl who rolled her eyes and brushed us off. After 35 minutes we inquired about a refund so we could leave, however the food was then ready. I do understand places are short staffed and running behind sometimes, but the establishments need to make their customers aware. With that said, the lack of accountability and unhelpful staff did not help. If we knew we would need to wait 35 minutes for what we thought would be quick, we would have gone elsewhere where. Honesty and transparency go a long way with building strong customer relations. read more

If you're in Juneau exploring for a few days, you definitely want to fuel up on a good breakfast and coffee before heading out on your adventures. Heritage has several locations where you can grab coffee and another in the valley where you can also eat. I prefer the valley location since it's a bit quieter, and of course I always grab some food. The baja breakfast burrito is my breakfast pick. The hazelnut creme or chai latte are my favorite Heritage Coffee orders. I've also tried a few of their wraps and paninis for lunch and they're all great. read more

Really enjoy this coffee shop. It has the character of a small place and the quality of a big place. The vanilla chai was perfect. Lots of foam, not too sweet and perfectly creamy. The Huli-huli rice bowl is delicious as well. The pulled pork is juicy and plentiful and the bbq sauce is sweet and spicy. (Mild spicy) yum! read more

One of my favorite cafes in Juneau. Lunch hour is busy with High School students, so beware! Calling in ahead of time to pick up or eat there is a great idea. They also have drive thru espresso services, so it can be a little hectic. They've always had friendly service. Although the menu is new, the items are still yummy! Must try the Chipotle Tomato dressing. Side note: The kitchen hours are M-F 7am-3pm and Sat+Sun 8am-3pm. read more

Heritage coffee and Alaska Brewing seem to be the liquids that keep this town going! Both are excellent products and they must treat their employees well because we never ran into a grumpy one the entire week we were here. The coffee is great and some of their locations have food. read more

Oh, how I miss Heritage Coffee. I got hooked on their mochas and now I'm back to hot chocolate because I can't find a single place in Seattle that tastes as good. Their food is generally excellent here, as well. I really like the spinach, egg, and chicken breakfast burrito, and the people there always recognized me and knew I wanted havarti instead of cheddar. Good folks. The breakfast melt is good as well... wasn't quite as impressed with the lunch menu, but breakfast is served all day! Fair warning, the kitchen closes at 3. But the coffee shop stays open later and they still have pastries and such. read more

Great cappuccino, limited breakfast menu but tasty food. This is a small place but the employees are friendly and really hustle. They only have a few wraps on the breakfast menu but the ones we tried were excellent - freshly prepared, and good size portions. Our coffees were really tasty but we would have preferred them a little stronger - but that being said, we would definitely go back again. The lunch menu looked really tasty too. Overall a really decent place to grab a quick breakfast and some good coffee! read more

Looks like it's been a while since the last review. Seems like nothings changed, in a good way. Nice little locals coffee shop/cafe. Good food at the rarely seen in Alaska reasonable price. Cozy comfortable place with a relaxed atmosphere and freindly staff. Order your drinks/food at the counter and leave a little something in the tip jar when you pay. Food took a little bit, I see this as a good sign. Had the baja burrito, which came like it was in a pannini press. It was yummy! 11 tables plus the counter bar seating 6...so not too tiny, but I have frequently seen the parking lot full, enjoy! read more

Pastry and egg sandwich weren't very good. The milk frothing and espresso machine and technique were pretty good, but they could have used better quality coffee. The bathroom and overall hygiene were below standard. There aren't many other options for an early breakfast in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for this. read more

I used to be a frequent flyer at many different Heritage locations. The coffee is seriously hit and miss, and very inconsistent. Knowing some of the staff, I can say that they do not put the equal efforts into training many members of their staff in the art of espresso. Depending on who you go to you might be surprised by either a lovely house cafe coffee with great healthy foam, and properly pulled espresso shots. Or on the flip side, a flat plain looking "steamed" milk, with dark and bitter tasting shots. Unfortunately "burnt" shots really make you have to use the restroom a whole lot more violently, and sooner. These examples started my discontinuation of buying coffee from many of the Heritage locations. What really put it over the top, would have to be the amount of health and safety violations I can visibly see when walking into the different stores(note: you can't walk in to the drive throughs). Things such as the staff not putting their hair up when it is long and unkempt(The big manager with the resting mad face never seems to care about this issue and I have dealt with hair in my food before). In one particular incident I was visiting the Downtown Front Street location and I heard one of the male staff instruct the other staff to "Stop putting the bathroom key in the box with the daily espresso cleaning supplies..."(note: this was earlier in 2020 and may possibly be fixed already). If you don't know about cross-contamination, it can lead to some not great health issues. I took a chance today hoping that I wouldn't get E-Coli, and went in to get some coffee. Only to notice yet another handful of health code related issues. Maybe it's not a big deal, but with the Covid-19 situation, you should probably wash your hands after dealing with cash, before making a customers coffee. I step down from my soapbox. Be wary. Stopped here for a coffee and a quick lunch on way to Mendenhall Glacier. Not much to look at from the outside, and not the most updated look inside, but the staff was friendly and the coffee/food worth the stop. Staff specialized my wife's coffee order with no problem. Had the cuban sandwich (yes, a cuban sandwich in Juneau Alaska). It was quite good. Came out warm and gooey. Quality pork, plenty of mustard, fresh bread. Very tasty sandwich, and a nice size for the price. There are not a ton of options outside of town, but if you are visiting the glacier, this place is a fine choice. read more

It's interesting how a small company like this can be so successful when their product is than bland. I suppose location and timing is all it takes. the coffee is not fresh. Repeat it is not fresh. It tastes just exactly like it is dried out sawdust coffee, Folgers instant has more flavor. Don't bother. These people let their beans dry out something awful. And don't even ask about the wifi it doesn't work. read more
