Growing up on Oahu there was only the Fun Factory locations that majority of all the children and their parents would go to. With the opening of Jungle Fun at Ala Moana Shopping Center....both parents and their children can spend an hour or more in this arcade establishment. During my most recent visit to Jungle Fun I noticed that this arcade area is smaller compared to the others I have gone to. I haven't played any games here....I was more of a browser. I noticed the grab a prize machine and it had some decent prizes to be won by either a lucky child or kid at heart adult. Fun Factory and Jungle Fun are both owned and operated by their parent company who brings the fun games and rides to the carnivals and fairgrounds. read more

And they're back and running! They were closed over the summer for renovations which was a huge bummer for my kids. My daughter always wanted to play here so when plans didn't go as planned on her 7th birthday we took her here. (I'll rave about that place after her actual party next Sunday so stay tuned!) and we're sooo glad we took her here over chuckee cheese! The new jungle fun is a lot cleaner and in some ways brighter. The new jungle fun doesn't have the play pin on the top of the ceiling and I think it was for safety reasons. Although that ceiling play pin was what made jungle fun so cool aside from fun factory or chuckee cheese, it also makes jungle fun brighter. The games are more drawn towards older kids ages 6 and up. They also have games that actually give the kids the opportunity to win prizes! Unlike chuckee cheese, these games aren't fixed - if you know what I mean. If you don't, try the comparison. The prizes are also better than CEC! My daughter can win a lot of tickets but CEC prizes are crap. At jungle fun my daughter won a cooking set, a fart putty, and a slime ball. She had about 800 tickets. 800 tickets at CEC will only get you a tiny little ball, some plastic bracelets and just crap! So if you're a parent like me that likes to see your children get the most out of their fun then save your money and go to Jungle fun! read more

LOL. I just remember good times here. When I was younger my folks took my brother and I there. It was usually only as a surprise and once in a while. It was kind of like a treat. They have this jungle gym thing that is pretty cool. Used to have a small mirror maze, small punching bags to run through, even this thing where you grab the metal bars and it slides you across the track above your head. I am not sure whats up there anymore. When I was I was younger it used to just be open and we would sneak up there. Unfortunately now, they have a more sturdy eye upon the entrance. I remember there also used to be a 3 animal show thing that happened every half an hour towards the ceiling, it circled out from the wall and lights came on and the animal machines would sing and dance and stuff. Now I just see them out of the wall and they are dusty, so they don't play the show anymore. Guess it was too expensive to up keep. But now you know, they used to do something lol. They've updated some of their games but their ticket things to get "toys" seem on the high side than Fun Factory. read more

As a gamer, this place need more variety of games but it is good fun if you're at the mall and you have kids or just a bored mall worker. I rate Jungle Fun 4 stars because: 1. They always bring music games at Ala Moana. I like that and I get to play them during my break at work or at least when I'm around. However they should have a variety than just DDR and another music game (like Music GunGun 2 or DJ Technika). 2. The card system. It's easier to keep track of than quarters. 3. It's great to keep the kids busy when you're a parent. There's a playground and a wide variety of ticket games. Again, if Jungle Fun have a section of games for older people, like 16-26, then they would get a higher ranking in my book. Please don't take away Music GunGun 2 like how you took away Pop n Music or Beatmania. read more

After taking the kids to Chuck E Cheese last night, I couldn't help but think of the fun we had here. Especially for the wee kid crowd, Jungle Fun seems to have more rides, games and better cheap plastic prizes. We wandered in here to get out of the rain one afternoon and my 4-year old had a blast. I especially enjoyed the ease of the re-loadable card vs heavy, cumbersome tokens. Plus, where else can you play video games in Japanese? I had no idea what the game was saying, but the smiley characters assured me I was doing pretty well. Since the rain rarely lasts for long, I would highly recommend ducking in here with the kids until the sun rears its head again. read more

I took my 5 month old nephew here last week, obviously not really old enough to play games yet. In spite of that, he was completely enthralled by all of the lights, sounds, and kids running around (super exciting for him). I even have go pro footage to prove it! Haha My reason for giving Jungle Fun Ala Moana 5 Stars is because we jumped in the photo booth and I accidentally ordered multiple strips instead of bigger single photos (which doesn't scan very well). Tuan was super friendly and retrieved the image file for me on my flash drive, so that we can share this memory of my nephew's first Jungle Fun adventure with family off-island and for him when he's bigger! You can't put a price on a memory, but Tuan made it so that we have it forever and seemed so happy to help! I know it seems silly, but since I work in customer service, I know that dealing with special requests can be a hassle and Tuan made me feel as though it was his pleasure to help us out. A++ for customer service!!!!! I really can't wait until my nephew can walk and play around with all the games, but we'll definitely stop by again the next time we're at the mall even just to look around and ride the cars :) Thanks again!!! read more

Jungle Fun has been around for a long time now at Ala Moana so I'm guessing it does well. I remember coming here when I was a youth when I visited HI. I went here recently with my kid and she had a blast. Even though she is younger than age 2, she can still sit in the cars that move (she got scared when it started moving), sit in front of the car arcades, and just watch daddy get tickets for her (which is fun for me). I think the arcades and games are pretty expensive because I blew $10 pretty quick on different machines but it was easy to get tickets and I got some cool prizes for my daughter. I also won a toy plastic ball from one the claw machines which was awesome. Great place to check out if you want a break from doing all that shopping at Ala Moana. read more

Ari and a gentleman (cant remember the name) were really nice, friendly. and patience with my 2 boys. Pleasant visit. One was with the redemption center for the wizard of oz and choosing the prices. The initial concern was grandpa put $50 on my niece's "VIP" card just prior to the whole COVID mess. My sis recently noticed the back of the card says "credits loaded on this card will be forfeited if not used within 12 months." I called Jungle Fun and spoke to the on-site manager who told me Jungle Fun's corporate office would not extend cards due to the pandemic, since their facility was only closed for a total of 3 months. I initially posted a negative review and Mr. Shauf quickly reached out to clarify. The language on the back in question only pertains to promotional cards. My niece is thrilled to know she still has $48.50 on her card and it won't expire. Mahalo Mr. Shauf!!! read more

They are open again- they were under repair and remodeling and now they are open again. Many of the same toys and games, there is still the climbing tunnel for the kids in the ceiling and a few new games but mostly - the same video games and prize machines to try to win stuff- great for the kids to be entertained while parents are shopping read more

I missed Jungle Fun........ I use to go there with my grandfather almost every weekend! But I'm only 20 who's now lived in California! Anyway, that place can win over Chuck E. Cheese because of the games and some prizes, not just for kids, but almost all ages. If they planned for another game(s) and it is appealing for all ages, I would give them an extra star or two! Ok This place is awesome! Just had my son's 9th birthday party here. FYI - they have birthday's parties now. So cool. Ten kid package. Unlimited video games and 20 crane game for 1.5 hours for $150 And the staff was so helpful and nice to the kids. Just a really, really, really nice place for kids to have a great party! This place gets pretty boring after a day of fun at Jungle Fun. It's too expensive and sometimes crowded. The playground kind of smells like barf whenever I go up there. But since it's at Ala Moana I will just give one extra star to make it two star. Get better. read more

We used to take our kids to Dave & Busters, but they prefer Jungle Fun these days. I can see why. There's more games and rides for young children (ours are 4 and 5), they have the playground and slide area upstairs, it's not as noisy, there's a decent selection of prizes at fair point levels, and points are credited to your account wirelessly. I like it because the games and rides are clean and well maintained, it's a safe environment and the staff is helpful and friendly. read more

I love bringing my daughter and all her cousins here to play games! We have so much fun here especially with the ice cream machine! The kids keep trying to use the claw to win an ice cream cone! The thrill of it is so much fun! Although we can just buy a box of ice cream cones from Long's upstairs or Foodland around the corner, its way more fun to try and win it! I love the clean atmosphere and no grungy looking children in here either! The prices of the games are higher, which filters who walks into this establishment. The prizes are really really good for the kids too! Customer service is okay for the most of it. The girls are super awesome to me and my daughter. There is one boy that works here with glasses which is super snobby, has no personality and should not be working in this fun environment. That was my only complaint about Jungle Fun! A good place to take the kids, but it gets expensive. Place is kept clean. The animal kaiser games can get busy when the same kids sit for multiple games. It would be nice to share the machines when others are waiting. Parents/grandparents get obsessed with the game and I've heard some say, "Aren't you still playing" when the kid gets off. read more

This place can make you go broke. $20 gone in no time. Prizes are high end, and games are fun for the kids and adults who want to try and win an iPad. Not a huge selection of games or ticket games, but still fun for the kids. The workers were the best. read more

Very surprised! I have walked past this place hundreds of times. Thinking it was just a touristy-priced arcade. Uh, no. 1. It is A/C'd!!! Yes, the temp is a haven from the crowd induced aura just feet away from its entrance. It is comfortable and clean. 2. It is not an overly priced Chucky Cheese or Fun Factory. It is not as good as FF, but the prices for games and the sets of credits you can put on a card is comparable. 3. Good variety of games- coin games, ticket games, big video games, driving, youth games, not as good as CC, but close. Less little ones running around with snot running down into their mouths and those annoying little cups, I hate those cups (and the germs). My family and I had a great time there. The stuff you can buy with tickets is over priced, but that is to be expected, same at CC and FF. Jungle Fun is a place you should enter, yes, all the way in. There is even a tunnel playground thingy in there! read more

I gave jungle fun a 5 star because of the great atmosphere. All employees are nice and very helpful they have a large variety of games to play for all ages. I always take my younger brother here to play he loves the maze they have built in jungle fun. I recommend this arcade for anyone looking for a good time. And is in the area. Will be back. So when you ask a five year old what she wants to do and she tells you Ala Moana to look at things... what she really means is jungle fun to play games lol my daughter absolutely loves to play video games whether we go to Chuck E. Cheese or fun factory or Dave & Busters.... she don't care she is happy. Somehow out of all those places I tend to find myself mostly at jungle fun.... I mean who wouldn't be entranced by the really tall pink giraffe and swinging elephant head? Honestly in terms of decent games perfect to keep a five year old occupied AND being affordable? I say jungle fun wins over Dave and busters... and honestly there are a lot of games even adults can play too! Jungle fun is a great place to go to for family fun days out! Their cards are easy to reload and they have machines you can use to put credit on to them or just simply go up to the prize counter and ask a staff member for help. This place isn't the biggest but they have a decent size for a gaming place that includes an indoor play gym for the kids located all the way in the back next to the racing games and ddr machine. They seem to have a lot of prizes machines where you play games to win prizes but I enjoy their fun stacking games. Nothing too fancy but for a place that's been around for a long time they must be doing something right! Located in the busiest mall on Oahu located on the bottom floor near the center stage. I like that this gaming place is also kept very clean and doesn't feel at all Grimey or gross. So if you have nothing to do why not check it out? read more
