I have a small conure and it's hell trying to find a place that will trim his nails. I read about this place and my parrot and myself went for a ride which I now know he loves and there will be more of this. I digress. The owners and their daughter are fabulous. The price is right, the place stuffed with anything you could need for a bird and then some. They are super knowledgeable about birds and have been in the business since the 80s. They are kind of famous in R.I with bird people and now I know why. Great job, good price and fabulous people. when the time comes we will be back. read more

This place is amazing! I brought my bird Messy in to get a wing clipping. The owner did not realize she was fully flighted and opened her carrier and Messy flew out. The owner and her daughter spent about 45 minutes trying to catch her and successfully did. Then they clipped her wings and did the whole spa treatment for her. They were super nice and had many great things for all animals. I'm definitely going to come here again. They are extremely knowledgeable about birds and show such great love and compassion for them! Every sales associate is friendly, helpful, sociable and kind. Their prices are, overall, very reasonable for all their supplies. I travel from West Warwick to go there for all my bird supplies. Was recommended this beautiful place a couple months ago, and what a perfect stop for Bird Owners! Endless home made toys and perches. I came for the grooming for a senior bird with a biting problem, I was truly afraid for her and myself. She handled my bird so calm and professionally, I was beyond impressed. GREAT PLACE! 1st called today and the lady was very nice. I was looking for a branch for my crested gecko to climb on. She has some great products to show me and was very pleasant. Yes they do have a lot of bird items but the owner is rude. Had a appointment to have my bird wings clipped and someone else called and canceled. When I walked in she complained that I had canceled and she rebooked my spot. I did not cancel, but she couldn't clip my birds wings. Even though I didn't cancel. Now I just take my bird to my vet. read more

The only reason why I come here is because it's the only place in the state I can get my birds food. But I do have to say that I am very sick of the attitude the owner, Renee gives me every time I come. My bird is a rescue and has alot of issues so I always come in asking some questions because she is certified but today I have decided that this will be my last visit. I will be getting my birds food online from now on to avoid getting attitude and rudeness, even when asking what avian vet she recommend. If you're going in for supplies that's fine but I wouldn't recommend engaging in a conversation with Renee. read more

I met Renee, the owner, in 1987 after rescuing an African Gray. She provided me with a wealth of information and clipped his flight feathers so he'd be safe and not fly away. In 1993, I purchased my Blue and Gold Macaw from her. Her store is always clean and is climate controlled. Her staff typically remains consistent and are friendly and knowledgeable. She has obviously dedicated her life to the careful care and safe homes for birds. I drive an hour, one way, to bring my birds for clippings, purchase food, and now buy all my dog food from her as well. As a steady customer, and now friend, she knows my pets needs. I appreciate her sales/discounts and I know she appreciates my business. The boarding quarters are available at reasonable rates for those who travel; and, can leave your birds in the trusting hands of Renee. She also has a vet available, if needed. I LOVE this store! Not only are the owners extremely knowledgeable and helpful, they have the biggest supply of Avian products, food, treats and toys in the state. It is the only place I have found my Macaw's Roudybush food available in all different quantities. They have advised me on several occasions on bird behavioral issues and always giving me helpful tips. My birds love going there for the nail/feather trimming services they provide! If I could give them more than 5 Stars I definitely would. You can tell how passionate they are about their store and their care of baby birds! read more
