Since I've never sought counseling before, I wasn't sure what to expect. I called to ask about the intake process, fees, and what the first appointment would be like. Instead of being welcoming or helpful, Delmy came across as rude, impatient, and dismissive. The conversation went something like this: Me: "What is your intake process?" Her: "What do you mean, what is my intake process?" Me: "How long is the intake appointment, and what should we expect during it?" Her: "You aren't going to ask me about fees?" Me: "how many providers do you have? Would my kid see the same provider" Her: "we have many" Her tone and manner made me feel like my questions were an inconvenience. As someone reaching out for counseling for the first time, I was hoping for a little compassion and guidance. Instead, I left the conversation feeling frustrated and discouraged. The first interaction with a practice is often the person answering the phone. If someone is seeking mental health services, they should be met with kindness, patience, and empathy. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

I observed how she handled one of their clients who was visibly distressed and experiencing some form of customer service complaints about a different employee & the tone in which the young lady was speaking in was admirable. She was everything but dismissive, annoyed or anything negative. I'm not sure if everyone here is trained to respond with such grace when dealing with certain clientele but she made me think maybe I need to come here for anger management. Her interaction with that client was the definition of emotional intelligence. Thru their doula match we found an amazing postpartum doula. I also did some of their prenatal circles and will be doing their post partum circle soon. Always a fun mix of women who go there, and I know the business can't control who signs up for classes but I wish more POC women and couples went. My first circle it was very intimidating being the only POC there.

She was experienced and knowledgeable, answered our questions, gave recommendations, resources, and context, and we could not be happier with the experience. The office was quiet, clean, free from distractions, and the environment was comfortable and inviting. My wife had a few fears/concerns about being a first time mother, but after the class she's feeling much more comfortable now that she's equipped with so much context and information. I've attended Cassie's Baby Care 101 class, her CPR class, and I used her as my post partum doula…read morefor the first month of my twins' lives. First, her classes are awesome - straightforward and so informational. Cassie has a ton of experience and she shares her wealth of knowledge in such a clear and concise way. But more importantly, she was a voice of calm as she was our night doula 3x a week for the first month of my twins' lives. The first week, she came during the day just to help me get settled. I think a core memory for me will be waking up (4 days PP) after the longest nap of my life to Cassie serving me my lactation tea and reminding me to pump. For weeks 2-4, she came 3 nights a week and took care of all of the night feedings. Not only did she take AMAZING care of the babies, she was always there to support me and my husband. She had wonderful advice for everything from which probiotic to use, to which bottles work best for our babies. I truly cannot recommend Cassie enough. She helped us start our parenthood journey off strong. By the time she had to move on to her next client, my husband and I felt well equipped to take on every night on our own.

Although she couldn't be there our first night home, she made sure we had support from her Mom who also is a postpartum doula. She was able to help us until Cassie could start with us at our scheduled time. My daughter also had some tummy issues that we weren't sure about and Cassie recommended we bring in a diaper to get it tested with our pediatrician and she ended up being diagnosed with a dairy allergy. We would have never known to do that if it weren't for her. She is so sweet and makes you feel so comfortable as you navigate this next stage of life!
