Came here for a date night and needless to say it was not what we expected... When we first walked in, it was busy- great sign for our first time!! We sat down at the bar and started looking over the menu. Their drinks all sound great! We ordered a drink and both of them were very sugary and syrupy as well.. not what we were hoping for. For food we ordered Veg Samosas, Peri peri chicken, and butter chicken. My partner got his food entree in less than 10 minutes. The flavor was good overall but we could tell it was hot held a little too long because it was a bit dry and dehydrated on the outer edges. It then took 20 minutes for our veg samosas appetizer which were ice cold in the middle and an additional 10 minutes for the butter chicken. A total of 30+ minutes for the rest of our food. which we were very disappointed about. When we got the remade samosas, they were overcooked to the point where only the filling was edible. by the time me and my partner could actually eat our meals together; our bartender was sweeping/mopping, the restaurant was closing, people were paying their bills and leaving. Not sure if i will come back...

Great food and finally I can get my Dosa fix in Bothell. Ordered Benne Dosa that I didn't find on their menu but it was delicious. Sriram was our server and he was very helpful.

Ever since I realized Chennai-famous Junior Kuppanna, I wanted to try. The place did not disappoint - they maintained the taste. The place did not have much wait but soon got to waiting during peak times. Liked that the place is well-lit and pretty big. We tried kothu paratha, chicken biriyani and soup - loved all of them, felt authentic unlike usual Indian restaurants. Hope they keep up the food quality and service. They also serve South Indian breakfast on weekends, yet to try next time.

Visited the restaurant for lunch during their first week of opening. The place was busy but we were seated immediately. We ordered the Non-Veg meals, Pichipota Naatu Kozhi, Chicken Korma, Madurai Bun Parotta, Filter Coffee and Rose Milk. Everything was good but were on the Spicy side. The meals came in a dish that was tricky to eat with (plate not deep enough). All the items in the meals were very good. The Bun Parotta was soft and fresh, very close to the ones you get in Madurai. Filter Coffee and rose milk were good too. Service was done by bots but since it was the first week of opening, they had someone to ensure the bots were accurate. Overall had a good experience and will definitely visit again.

Finally a nice South Indian restaurant in Bothell! We tried the Salt & Pepper Baby Corn as an appetizer -- really tasty and well-seasoned (slightly on the dry side, but still good). The Podi Masala Dosa was absolutely on point -- crispy, flavorful, and perfectly made. Gulab jamun were decent too. Overall a great experience and I'm happy to have a solid South Indian spot nearby with decent service. Will definitely be back!

    Non-Veg Special Thali

Tried their non-veg thali. The flavors were on point: authentic, well-seasoned, and clearly made by someone who actually knows what they're doing in the kitchen. But... my dude... the meat portions? The chicken katori had what I can only describe as two emotional support strands of chicken, and the mutton portion was basically one lonely meat fiber floating in a sea of gravy -- a picture of poignant loneliness. I've seen more meat stuck to plates after a dishwasher cycle. I totally get it that the whole idea of a thali is variety -- a fair bunch of fillers to keep costs in check, and not a full-blown meat feast. But when the non-veg serving is so small that it feels like it's more of a garnish than the prime ingredient, it starts making people sad. That said, service was excellent, the robot concept was genuinely cool, and the atmosphere was clean, spacious, and nicely nostalgic. Keep that up! But I implore you once again: meat in a meat curry is supposed to be the main character. For the love of all things delicious, don't make it a cameo appearance.

Inconsistent food preparation, you go on a busy day, it's a hit or miss. The Parottas are doughy.

5 Stars (for Mark) I…read morefound Rare Society on TikTok and made the drive up from Bellevue with my girlfriend, curious to see if this place lived up to its upscale steakhouse reputation. The short answer ..it's complicated but one person made all the difference. When we got there about 30 minutes early, we were told we could sit in the lounge and still receive full service, which was a nice touch. That said, there was no one at the front to greet us for a minute or two upon arrival. Small thing, but when a restaurant markets itself as a high-end experience, that first moment matters. We got seated quickly and then came Mark. He wasn't dressed like a server, so I honestly wasn't sure who he was at first, but his level of attentiveness made it immediately clear this was someone who genuinely cares about the guest experience. He explained that he was supporting our actual waiter, who was also covering bartending duties that evening. Whether that's a staffing concern or just how the night unfolded, I'll leave that to management to reflect on. What I won't leave unacknowledged is this..Mark was extraordinary! He knew the menu inside and out, kept our water filled, checked on us consistently, and made us feel genuinely welcomed, not just served. He even took the time to ask for our names. He spoke highly of our waiter throughout the entire evening, which says a lot about his character. My girlfriend and I were both floored. I'd take someone in a hoodie with Mark's warmth and knowledge over a perfectly dressed server going through the motions any day. The entire experience was held up by Mark. The entire time all the way to the end. It seems like Mark was required to relay all orders to our server. Ultimately our actual server simply delivered only the desert and checked if it was good. When my water glass was empty during dessert, it went unnoticed by him. Mark caught it. Of course he did. This isn't about entitlement. This is about living up to the competition and high end standard Food was Fantastic. Compliments to the chef The Surcharge, Worth Mentioning The receipt included a 4% surcharge described as covering competitive industry compensation, including health benefits for valued full-time employees. I respect transparency around labor costs. But here's the question worth sitting with: if this charge genuinely covers employee health benefits, why is it removable on request? A real operational cost doesn't disappear because a guest felt uncomfortable asking. It starts to feel less like a principled stance and more like a pricing strategy dressed in goodwill language. Five stars and they belong entirely to Mark. He is the standard this restaurant should be measuring itself against. Rare Society, if you're reading this..promote him, learn from him, and make sure he knows how much he elevated what could have been a forgettable evening into something genuinely memorable. Everything about this place is trying to be rare. Mark already is

After much deliberation we went with both of the steak platters since we had 6 hungry folks. We really liked the variety of cuts! All had excellent flavor but were a touch overdone. Our medium rare platter was medium and our medium platter leaned Med Well after resting on the platter. We really liked the various sauces and the sides were delicious- don't sleep on the Potatoes au Gratin!
