I recently moved to the area and was looking for someplace other than Domino's to order pizza from. I found this place close to home and ordered Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. It was BY FAR, the BEST pizza I've ever had!! I've been to a lot of great pizza joints in my lifetime and this was a pleasant surprise. I was warmly greeted when I walked in. The chicken salad wrap was brought to my table in under 10 minutes. The large comes with fries, but they happily swapped out with chips. It wasn't full and the meat was dry and the sub wasn't cheese. I'm very disappointed tonight. And when I called to let them know. I was told the meat is now weighed. I was shocked. I tried out Junior Pizza House in Acton very recently. I ordered a Small 10" Eggplant Pizza ($6.99 plus tax) which was hot and ready to go in about 10 minutes. This pizza was very good and enjoyable for dinner, which had a thin crust, very crisp on the bottom with ground wheat flour and a puffed soft texture inside, and topped with the right amounts of tomato sauce, cheese, and small pieces of sweet breaded eggplant pieces. The best pizza around, at least so far! Not as good as the best of NYC, but still really good. The crust is as good as you'll find anywhere, no reservations there. The sauce is what needs improvement; it's pretty bland. Updated to add a star - the sauce is improved and if you get extra sauce, quite perfect IMHO. If you happen to love lamb gyros, then this pizza shop is definitely worth a try! I love gyros, (they also have chicken gyros). They run a friendly business and are very polite when taking your order. We generally do pick up, but see from other customers who have used their delivery, to be very satisfied. Their prices are very fair too esp when so many people just don't have much to spend. They have homemade chip cookies too at the counter which are scrumptious too! Gonna bump this down a few stars after my second experience with this place. Pizza was just not particularly great - came out a lot like Papa Gino's, just drier and smaller. Wasn't bad - it got the job done - but it really did not leave a positive impression. Worth noting that their small pizzas are very small, and their large pizza's are similar to a Domino's medium (will put up pics later). Large was enough for two adult men, small was fine for one adult. I also got the "cheesy bread" appetizer, and just know that it is literally a piece of baked pizza dough bread with some cheese melted on top. I got what I paid for, definitely, I was just surprised there wasn't more to the appetizer. I wouldn't recommend it, but if you do get one, ask for two containers of sauce, since 1 does not give you enough for the entire 'loaf.' Thank (insert-owner's-name) for Junior Pizza! My schedule keeps me busy until 9 PM some days. For some reason, Acton restaurants and even take-out joints have, for the most part, collectively decided that nothing happens between the hours of 9 PM and 6 AM. This window is skewed greatly from my own. After 9 PM, I still need to eat, work out (yeah, right) and enjoy some leisure time. Junior Pizza is a rare standout of an Acton Pizza place that is until 10 PM. The hours are the reason I tried them to begin with. Now, 7 PM or whenever, I go to Junior's more often than not. The pizza, their chicken fingers (real chicken) and everything else on the menu is of better quality than nearly all of the 9 PM gang. One night, I lost track of time AND took a wrong turn on route 2. Whoops. I was going to get their at about 10:10 PM. Feeling horrible, I picked up my phone to let them know what happened. They were already calling me. When I offered to pay regardless, they insisted on sticking around until I got their. It might not seem like a big thing, but people have plans, obligations, or just want to relax after work. An extra 10 minutes, after which they still likely have clean-up and such to perform is a huge deal. I ordered a large amount of food for work and they managed BEAUTIFULLY. I came in a few minutes early and they were ready for me. The order of a variety of Italian food was perfect. Between a selection of 5 dishes that I chose to purchase, the stand outs from what I heard in the office were the garlic bread and the "ramano's favorite." The shrimp scampi was almost gone and also the cheese ravioli. My office LOVED it!!!!! They were so happy to have hot Italian food for lunch. Juniors has large portions. I'm always thinking I'm under ordering when I'm ordering for the office but nope... I'm over ordering. The service was fantastic - you can order online. And then when I arrived there were workers who helped bring stuff to my car. The only reason I was carrying items to my car was because I insisted that I could help. Honestly, the food is a crap-shoot every time whether it will be good or bad. I've had chicken wings that tasted like they had been sitting in the fryer all night and tasted "old". I've also had pizzas that were just passable, but I've also had some real bombs. I can't say whether their crusts are actually handmade at the store or not, but as far as their taste goes, they're bland and taste frozen. I've had steak and cheese sandwiches too and they're nothing to brag about at all. It's a small town pizzeria. That's all that it ever will be , and probably not for too long with the quality (or should I say "lack of quality") of their food being so low, with owners that don't care about improving things. I've heard that it used to be a good place to eat when it was owned by different people in the past, but as for this pizza lover... I'll spend my money somewhere that I can get what I paid for! Their food isn't bad, but their attention to customer detail is among the worst out of any restaurant I have ever frequented. Three out of three orders I received the wrong ingredients on my delivery/takeout salads or sandwiches. If you use their website and use the 'extra meat' option, beware: you will be paying for absolutely nothing. You get the same (ridiculously small) pieces of meat in a sandwich regardless of what you choose. A large sub warrants more than 3 pieces of turkey, people. Mind you - the 'extra meat' option costs an extra 1 or 2 dollars, depending on size. My friends and I ordered a couple of wraps over the course of 3 weeks, and got the same meat as those that did not. I will never order from here again. When I was little I went here every week. The owner was so sweet and always gave me a cookie. His staff knew my name and always asked me how was this or this. Now there is a new owner and new staff they are nice but the food now is just not good anymore. Tbh they need to step up their game I barely go there anymore because of how the food is. The sausage is sliced which I never like, and tasted generic and the bacon bits tasted burnt. The cheese not memorable either and teh onions not caramelized. Just an average pizza. Tried salad which is again ok but nothing special and have had wings from here before that were not bad, better than the pizza but again nothing special. Would I order from them again? NO. I had some faith in them in the past (even when they delivered incorrect orders, forgot something, etc...). This last time, however, was quite annoying to say the least. I ordered online for my boyfriend and because I had ordered from there in the past, the driver went to my old work address and didn't bother to read the address that was printed on the receipt. When my boyfriend received his order, it was cold and they wouldn't give us a refund.
