DON'T do it... DON'T eat here. Shall I repeat myself? No, once is enough. 2 of went here for lunch…read morelast week only because The Neighboorhood Grill was closed for 'equipment malfunction'?? So we drove into old towne, and found this place. Went it, buffet was cheap, $4.99 I think. People, there's a reason why. Where shall I start - Salad portion, 1 lettuce, in 2 different bowls, but, same lettuce, minimal items to put on the salad - celery was brown in one bowl, green in another, I went for the green version. Passed on the cucumbers, cut in quarters, they were multi color as they had turned mushy near the rind and in toward the center. Meats, well, & this is true, I'm not kidding, I starred at them, what I think were the meats, but had to ask the counter guy what were the meats as I couldn't tell by looking at them. ps, there were maybe 4 other people in here at lunch. He said pork chops, OK, I could see those in the gravy, meat loaf, well, I saw something with red sauce on it, but, pushing back the red sauce, that was not ground beef under it, maybe cabbage? Whatever, it was not meatloaf. And finally, BBQ.... well, I guess that was the shredded stuff with so much sauce on it, I thought it was sloppy joes. So, I tried that, but could only eat 1 bite. Although he did not say ham was one of the meat items, I swear there was a shredded ham dish (in the veggie section). It was the only 'meat' item I could eat more than 1 bite of, but my associate took 1 bite of it and could not eat any more. Veggies, there were several, I could see they were lima beans, and brown beans, for example, but could taste no difference in either. Way... way.... way.... way.... too many items on the buffet. Folks, go for Quality, not Quantity. No clue how this place stays in business. On the way back to the office, we asked ourselves: What days were the food we just ate actually cooked???

Everything is made from scatch, the ranch dressing is out of this world. (Owner gave me the recipe.) This is a place I would drive out of my way for. Don't forget to try the cornbread muffins!

I had the three piece dark chicken with the sweet potatoes casserole and mash potatoes with gravy. The mashed potatoes had quite a few lumps and everything kind of gave a powdery taste (gravy, casserole, and mashed potatoes). When I say powdery... I'm saying that it just wasn't giving "homemade". It's not intolerable but it's not what you look for when you go to a soulfood restaurant. I also wasn't a fan of the wait. We have some made to order items so it was understood about the 20 minute wait, but we didn't get our food until almost an hour after paying. The extra time waiting seemed to be due to fried green tomatoes not being made in tandem with the fried chicken. As a result, everything was luke warm by the time we got the food. It's truly sad because the flavor is definitely there. The texture, the powdery residual taste and the wait time leaves me at this place being a one time experience at the least and a, "if I had to" at the most.

The catfish is made to order, was perfectly crispy and well seasoned. Definitely top 3 catfish meals for me in the area. The mac and cheese was some of the best I have had. It was creamy and savory, it wasn't too fatty and had a firm texture. It was definitely the highlight of the meal. The green beans had a bit of a mushy texture but I really enjoyed regular green beans. The meal comes with a side or cornbread which was filling , fluffy and sweet. Fantastic soul food for me. The banana pudding was also delicious. You can also actually taste banana not just sugar. The people working there were honestly so kind and chill. They knew what to recommend and added to the dining experience. My only criticisms come with how some of the food is prepared for example the green been texture being on the mushy side is likely due to it being presented similarly to a buffet. I was also unable to have a whisky due to the bar being closed however it was 2pm on a weekday. Overall great experience

The menu is the perfect size -- not overwhelming -- and everything is priced fairly for the quality you're getting. You can truly tell the food is made fresh. I started with two sides: the crawfish étouffée balls and the Zydeco shrimp. The étouffée balls were made in-house and packed with amazing flavor. The flash-fried shrimp had the perfect amount of crispiness and paired perfectly with that delicious Zydeco sauce they were coated in. After almost getting full from the appetizers alone, I still had to try the catfish Po'Boy -- and wow, that French bread was some of the freshest I've had! The catfish was seasoned perfectly, and the whole sandwich paired great with their homestyle fries. I highly recommend stopping by 2 Crazy Fellas. The food, freshness, and flavors speak for themselves. I already know I'll be back many more times!

I order the fried catfish which had no flavor or taste at all , the cabbage was just okay, and the Mac and Cheese was not good either. The other two people ordered the meatloaf because they had been before and said it was pretty good but they was disappointed as well. The meatloaf was cold, but they did say they enjoyed the candies yams, but they still said they would never come back because the food is no longer good or freshly prepared here. But back to my food poisoning situation, around 3:30pm I had stomach cramps so I knew something was wrong ( unfortunately I was the only one had the fish and tartar sauce so it had to be one or the other) and I didn't have anything else to eat that day . But later that afternoon I started vomiting and kept going to the bathroom and here it is the next day and I'm still having stomach pains. I should have know when I entered that know one was inside and they said this place used to be packed for lunch. But unfortunately I will never return here or recommend anyone else to go here for soul food. It wouldn't surprise me if others got sick as well because it's definitely old food being served or it's not being properly store . I hate cafeteria food but next time I'm going to Piccadilly I stead ...
