Always felt a little guilty, as I use Yelp frequently but have never written a review myself. However, the delight and weight lifted of Junk B(eing) G-O-N-E...(!!!) has inspired me to write my first. I'm sure there are many of us with parents of a certain age, who do not want to get rid of ANYTHING. "Mom, do you really need this bag of shoulder pads from the 80's??"(the answer of course, "Yes!") After 35 years of staring at crazy, semi-hoarder basement, finally had opportunity/permission to clear with only brief window of time to do so w/o her around to edit. My brothers and I quickly filled a driveway full of stuff. Unfortunately, it was during the couple of days it rained and as they will donate your goods whenever possible (which I really appreciate) I was anxious to have it picked up right away before it got ruined. I called and spoke with Scott the next morning. He listened to my concern and told me he could have a truck there that same afternoon. I didn't even have to be there. They would call and give me an estimate over the phone. If I agreed, they would haul it away immediately. So I scheduled an appointment. The driver called, was courteous and apologetic as he was stuck in traffic and would be a little past the window of time I was given. When he got to the house, he called with a very reasonable estimate plus $50 discount for not being on time! (totally wasn't necessary as I told him earlier I didn't care if he was late so what a nice surprise) In addition, I used a Yelp coupon ($50 services for $30) so saved another $20! Was so pleased with their speed and professionalism, used them again a couple of days later to remove a (very heavy!) sofa, recliner and ottoman. Again, great price, and was able to use another Yelp coupon since it was a separate trip. Sweeeet! Now, I find myself looking for more opportunities to use this great company. It's amazing how much "lighter" one can feel without "stuff" weighing one down! Plus, I like that the things we don't use can be given new life by someone else who might need it. Thanks Junk B Gone! The two man team from Junk B Gone were prompt, professional, fast, and reasonably priced. I had a little bit of everything, from old refrigerator to a cement base of a fence post. My stuff took up the majority of their truck, but I honestly thought it would be a two truck job. The two man crew were able to break down old shelving to save them space in their truck and save me money from my wallet. First call: We agree they would show up between 9:00 and 1:00 the next day. By noon, they still hadn't arrived. I decided to call them. Second call: They apologized profusely and said someone would get here within a couple of hours. They did. I didn't get their names, but one of them looked like a mini-Marshawn Lynch and the other looked like Forest Whitaker. They gave me a quote and like true business men, haggled over to a lower cost! Easier than ordering a pizza and almost quicker! I called a couple of trash removal companies on Yelp, but decided on Junk B Gone. Scott in the office missed my original call where I left a detailed message describing debris to be taken away. I had wooden balcony railing, balcony roofing materials, glass, and some yard waste. He returned the call promptly, gave me a quote and applied the $30 for $50 Yelp sale. We agreed to the estimated price for the work described. He indicated that he had a truck that could come around 5 - 7 that night (we talked at around 1PM) which was good for me. About 30 minutes later, he called back indicating a truck was in the area and could swing by momentarily. Hell yes! The truck arrived with 3 absolutely lovely men. Friendly, capable, and did the best job cleaning up the yard where the debris was located. Truly a wonderful company and service.
