Every year we put on a Food Drive and Pumpkin Patch event in Austin. We are required to have the park totally picked up very quickly after the event. I never needed a service like Junk Busters before but I needed a pile of old carpet and padding moved ASAP and I didn't have the means to do it myself so I was referred to JB. Since I booked a request thru their website I saved $15. They make it so easy! I received a call back the same day and they came two days later to get the stuff. Best part was that I didn't have to be home for any of this (no taking time off work!). They eyeballed the pile and called me with an estimate and I said go for it! I later came home to find the debris mercifully gone and paid with a credit card over the phone. I never even met these people but they did an amazing job. I was about to resort to finding someone on Craigslist with a truck who would haul the stuff away for about the same price but with JB I have peace of mind that the debris was actually disposed of properly. I had a pile of yard debris in my driveway I needed removed. I called JunkBusters USA thinking it would be an easy and cost-effective way to get rid of the mess. Their service was fantastic: they were prompt, professional, on-time, and did a good job cleaning up my driveway. However, I'm only giving them 3 stars because they were outrageously expensive -- probably 3X what I expected. They did not give me a quote over the phone (not that I expected one) but did one promptly on-site. Tried to talk them down but said rates were fixed. Yes, I could have passed on using them at that time, but I needed the driveway cleared that day and it was too late to consider other options. These guys were awesome from beginning to end! Steve was very pleasant on the phone when I first called,he quickly scheduled my hot tub removal. The guys came over today to remove the hot tub and all of them had great attitudes and were very professional. This was a very difficult to remove hot tub as it was seated inside a deck, but they were able to find a way to remove the hot tub without damaging the deck. They cleaned everything up and put my yard stuff back the way they found it. Let me start by saying that these guys are as professional as you get! Everything they say in their ad is true. They came when they said for the estimate and were on time for the job. I was emptying the home of my deceased grandparents of the accumulation of 60+ years. We ended up with just under 4 truckloads of refuse, excess memories, and old appliances. We had a crew of 5, who worked tirelessly to clear and sweep the house. What struck me - in addition to their superior effort - was that they were sensitive to the possibility that something of family value would be mixed with the refuse. On multiple occasions they brought items to me to check before going to the truck. Steve Welhausen, the owner or "Chief Junk Officer", as he joked, was personable and came to check out the progress. Their crew started at 9AM & finished the same day after 5PM. I had used another "local" crew of handymen for some earlier hauling; but, this time I really needed the assurance of adequate resources to complete the job in one day. I will never use anyone else. These guys are great. We called them out to haul away a lot of accumulated junk, mostly in the garage and a few items inside that were too heavy for my kids and I to bring downstairs. They showed up with great attitudes and got right to work. After a short while I asked my son to just eyeball and see how they were coming along. He looked at me like I was nuts because "they just got here". I said I'd read great reviews and I expected they might be half finished. He let me know he thought that was impossible but, when he went out to check, they'd loaded everything up and were sweeping out the garage! They brought the upstairs stuff down cheerfully and then we were all done! The bill matched what I'd been quoted. Great experience. I had to clean out my garage, it was full and needed the room for my car. They came out within 24hrs, and had my garage cleaned out for me within hrs! They even took out my over full trash cans I had mistakenly forgot to put on the curb the night before. Huge trucks, and friendly employees made my experience one I will recommend to others. Plus they will donate items that are salvageable to Salvation Army, so I can rest knowing I still helped the community.
