The moving team were fast but also took care to protect floors, elevator, and walls in our building. WORTHLESS! Setup an appointment for Saturday and they gave me a window of 11AM - 1PM (even have saved email from them to prove it). Said they would stop by and give me a free quote on the spot with no obligation; fair enough. Noticed that morning I had a couple of missed calls starting at 9AM. when ringing them back, I got the guys on the truck who stated they were skipping me because I did not answer. Really? My appointment I stated was at 11AM and they replied that they had me down for 9AM. Whatever. Unreliable and waste of time in my opinion. I had Junk king do a job on 04/13/17 Job number JK573101 for $394.oo. The truck got stuck, I tried to help with pulling them out with my tractor, but they were stuck and needed a tow truck (King size). We used my shovel, hoe and a 10' tow chain. They brought out a second truck to use it to get out no luck. They final called a tow truck but I had to leave, before this happened. They said they would leave the tools and chain at the front door, they did not. Attached is the texts with the driver that day 925-989-5877, he omitted they forgot but changed trucks, and they would let the other driver know. The texts with the call center (737-886-5865) On 4/22/17 22, was told that the local did remember and would call me back on Monday. I followed up on the 4/27, and was told they would forward to the local junk king. 5/10 Followed up, was apologized to and told the local franchise owner would follow up shortly. No call. The text with the driver, and I told him that it " Looks like you left with my stuff. One chain 10' with 3/8" with hooks, one shovel and one hoe. The driver responded, "Yes we do", "I switched trucks", "I'll let the other driver know". called them to get a quote. they came by same day and gave us what we thought was a fair quote. we had two "piles" of stuff. one was two by fours, other wood and misc old things. the other was a pile of mulch. we were provided a written estimate of $516 for the whole lot. they came a few days later as scheduled. when they arrived and saw the mulch pile (which was there and photographed by the guy who did the original qutoing) they didn't look happy. they called someone and were on the phone for 10 minutes before they started. they only did half the job (the wood and misc old things). and then said it was "too hot" to do anymore work. basically they didn't touch the mulch pile. they said they would have to reschedule. i thought it was suspect since it became too hot conveniently when it was time to do the second pile. but we gave them the benefit of the doubt and we paid them $228 at their request for the first "pile." they never showed up on the rescheduled date. i wrote to complain. the franchise owner called me back and apologized and offered to send someone over the same day and offered a discount. 10 minutes later the guy who supposed to do the work called to confirm. when he asked me what they were picking up i told them the rest of the job they originally quoted, which was the mulch. he then proceeded to tell me it was going to be more because of whatever long rambling reason. i told them to forget it and that i'd find someone else. TL;DR they're charge you a lot too haul off the "easy stuff" then leave you hanging the bag. read more

These guys did a great job. Took a Giant Projection TV that everyone else turned their nose up at. The beat company in Brentwood! My father passed away and I was tasked with cleaning out my parents house. Throughout this horrible ordeal I have had to deal with many different companies, companies that have taken advantage, frustrated, shown no empathy and have made a difficult situation even worse. I had lost all faith in people. The house cleaners didn't clean, the landscaper didn't mow, the storage company explained a reservation doesn't hold anything. I was overwhelmed. I had stuff I needed to be picked up and believe it or not from the first phone call junk king restored my faith in people. They were professional set up a time and date. They called before they arrived and when they did arrive they were the most professional, friendly people I have done business with. I have had to call them 2 more times and each time the same. We scheduled a appointment for a large area clean up for my mom's property with Junk King in Livermore. We got the estimate of $298 from the website since it has an estimator on the site. They came with a truck that was already more than half full. There wasn't enough room on the truck for half or even a quarter of what was there. My mom said she didn't know they would be sending a truck almost full. They told her to schedule another appointment (and she would get over charged again) She doesn't even live in the area and they charged her $340 for a partial job. The guys at the site told my mom to talk to their boss if she has any problems. My mom is elderly. They took advantage of an elderly woman who is strapped for money. I called the boss (probably the owner) when I explained the issues, he could care less, very rude, he couldn't explain to me why my mom was charged extra for a job that was hardly worked on, he just said that's the way it is. So I told him ok, well my mom still needs someone to go finish the job, I told him we'd find someone else. We went with got junk, they were amazing, hard working and respectful. read more

I was given an estimate of $128-148 to remove an old refrigerator. Minus $20 for booking online. Great. then they came and told me $198. Due to stairs. I asked how much extra for the steps and he said $30. Well $148 minus 20 plus 30 =$158. He refuses. Said it was for their safety. Really? So I refused to pay their super high price of $198.
