I booked by appointment online. The guys showed up promptly, but after a review of the house, I was told that they could come back Monday morning at 8:30! I made the appointment so that I was available and could have this done on the day of the estimate. Then I was told, "sorry...we have our truck here but can't take anything." It wasn't the haulers - their manager Dom told them to reschedule. What is the point of doing an in person estimate and then telling the customer, "hey, we will come back." They offered $150 off if I rescheduled. I said no thank you - I will find another company who does what they say they will do. So...1-800-Got-Junk it was and they were super. Do NOT use Junk King unless you expect a "sorry...we can't do this now." Shameful way to operate a business. read more

They were the cheapest quote. They called and came early (almost an hour) from their posted window. That was Great! I was available so it worked out well. This wasn't a big job however 2 heavy items upstairs (dresser and tall boy). The other items were already moved to the garage. I would use them again. Guys were nice as well. I was moving to a new home and cleaning the garage was my nightmare but Junk King made it less painful! I requested an appointment on line so it was super easy. I received a confirmation very quickly. On the appointment day, Eric called to confirm and arrived slightly early! They were friendly, gave me an estimate, then got to work. This is my second time using Junk King (Sewickley, PA). The first time was good and I gave a review on that as well. This time, November 5th was not so good. We got the dumpster from Thursday-Monday, however we finished on Friday. Friday morning I called and requested the latest pickup but also requested another dumpster be dropped off. I asked for the latest dumpster swop possible and was told it would be between 12-4PM which worked out perfectly. To our surprise, the removal crew was at my house at 10:52AM and I'd just spoken with the young lady at the Sewickley office and was assured the dumpster wouldn't be picked up until close to 4PM as possible. Needless to say, when they came to remove the full dumpster, the other dumpster was not there for drop off so I canceled it and used another dumpster rental. It worked out perfectly! My tip to JK of which I didn't give the pick up crew a tip ($20-50) is KEEP YOUR APPOINTMWNTS! read more

They did the job, but their estimate was significantly lower than what they charged - and I had explained exactly what needed to be moved. I negotiated with them, so although they claim to charge by the percentage of space in the truck, it's not really that scientific. That being said, know I could have done it cheaper but they saved me time and trouble and were nice guys . read more

Their online cost estimator is somewhat accurate. It my case, it was within the expected range but always on the high side. The guys that come to take away the junk are courteous and efficient. Great service and excellent customer service. We recently used them to remove a few odds and ends. During the removal, there was a small miss understanding about what was to be removed. In the end, my sons red flyer wagon got pitched. I contacted them as soon as I noticed the error. If I could give them 25 stars, I would! I am a Corporate Customer who does moves and clean outs constantly (48 this year as of 11/17). I know the good, the bad and average. These guys are great. I was literally left hanging trying to clean out an office that was occupied for over ten years in the beginning of the move by Junk Kings competitors. They walked off the job. I had to change my flight, extend my hotel, car, incurred additional expense, including a $158 dock charge, not to mention, lost my weekend due to NOT using Junk King. I called that night at 10 pm and they were there the next day, on time, prepared, professional. No whining like the other guys that the job was too much and too hard.
