Not very happy. They had 2 people come out on a Saturday to give me an estimate to remove ALL the firewood debris in an area of my yard. They estimated that it would be 1 whole truck ($658) and they would be back with 4 people Monday. When they came back it was 2 people and they could only take 1/2 the debris. Said it was too hard to fit the other pieces on top of the truck. Left my yard still full of wood, took the $658 and left with no apologies. Worst outcome - yard is still full of old firewood and landscapers are supposed to come this week. These guys can't estimate, they don't keep their word, and apparently don't give a hoot. So incredibly easy to schedule and have our junk removed. They called when they were 15 minutes away. And the price was right too!

Just had Junk King remove a 300lb treadmill. Via their online booking, I merely booked myself a slot for the next day, got a confirmation, and that was it. They called three hours beforehand and said they could arrive early, so showed up 30 minutes later. The two guys were very friendly and capable, showing up clean and with a shiny truck. They got the treadmill out and packed away without a problem. I used their website's pricing estimator to determine the cost and it came to $74-$114. There are huge banner ads all around their websites and promos advertising $30-off anything over $99 if you book online. The local junk removal was asking $119, so I went with Junk King specifically for the value. Why the 3-star review? When the reps showed up and I asked them the cost, they pulled out a laminated sheet and said it would be $118. When I pointed out that was higher than their website estimator, they said that $118 was their absolute minimum. So I clarified that was $118 minus $30 because I booked online, right? No no no! The $30-off doesn't apply if you're paying the minimum rate! I was able to talk them into $20-off which still made it a good value. I don't like billing shenanigans and this adventure reeked of it. Before you choose Junk King, be very well aware: * Their website estimator gives you a range below their absolute minimum charge. * Their absolute minimum charge is $118. * The $30-off for booking online does not apply to the minimum rate. * You will have to negotiate to get a price/discount at the range you were led to believe. Their people, equipment, and service are excellent, but they have to be talked into fair billing. read more

I had asked him to get rid of these things before I moved in but alas, I found myself needing to get rid of this stuff immediately. I found Junk King thanks to the excellent reviews on Yelp and I'm extremely disappointed to say my experience differed vastly from other reviewers. I called for an estimate and the representative there told me that $95 was the minimum. Expensive for such a simple job but I get the minimum cost thing so I went ahead and booked my appointment, which was really easy and convenient. When the guys arrived to remove the recliner I was told the minimum was $118, which is truly outrageous for just moving a recliner, but I agreed to pay since I had purchased two of the handy Yelp deals for Junk King. I whipped out my vouchers when payment time came only to be told that it was one voucher per purchase, which isn't stated in the terms. The terms say "Only 2 voucher(s) can be purchased and redeemed per person." Note that there are no stipulations on the number of transactions involved. Junk King gets two stars because the appointment was easy to schedule, the guys showed up on time, and the chair is no longer here. I took away the other stars for the failure to honor the Yelp deal according to the terms on the voucher, it even says no additional restrictions may be added at time of redemption, and for what I feel was a bait and switch between the price I was quoted and the price I had to pay. I certainly won't be using Junk King again. read more

I called junking to remove an old couch from my basement. They arrived within the quoted time. They tried to get the couch through 3 different doors. The couch would not fit through any of the doors. Drop off and pick-up went well and as scheduled. My only complaint, and it's a rather big one, is the final bill! I was on a tight budget, which is why I went with the smaller dumpster offered by this company. Nothing really heavy was put in the dumpster and yet I was charged an excess weight fee that put this dumpster in the price range of dumpsters twice the size with a very large weight allowance. Final bill for a 12 cubic yard dumpster was close to $500! I would never use this service again when I could have disposed three times the amount of junk for the same price. read more

These guys are great and affordable! I've never used them before but I am a Yelp review junkie and Junk King had great reviews. I only needed to remove my daughters old bedroom furniture so it wasn't a huge job (bed, headboard, dresser & mattress). JP and Willie were right on time, very professional & very pleasant. The job took them literally 15 minutes (I looked) and the price came to a little over a hundred bucks. I wish I had family/friends close by to simply help me do this but I didn't and honestly, I'd rather pay someone to get in, get out, and be done. Family and friends can drag it out longer than it needs to be. But I will definitely use these guys again if I need junk to be removed in the future. read more

Company is a complete farce, and their trucks are shit... All the other reviews are either fake or payed for. The owner is a prick, he literally hung up on me when we were talking; told us to call another company instead. The truck driver told us we could fill the container only till the halfway mark (I was loading concrete) when it was time to pick up the container they wouldn't take it unless we payed an additional $550 dollars! So he just dumped it in the parking lot!!!! Overall, they will end up over charging you; just go to another company and save your money and time. read more

I wanted to get rid of a huge, heavy TV armoire for the old huge TV. An online search turned up Junk King. I got a live human being(!) on my first phone call, and made an appointment. Michael and Julian arrived during the promised appointment window, looked at the armoire, and said "no big deal." They were both polite and pleasant. They disconnected all the components, wiring, and the old TV, which was so heavy that I couldn't see how my husband and I could move it. Since they were at my house, I also had them take the old TV and a treadmill I'd wanted to get rid of for years. The men were very careful to avoid hitting walls, furniture, as they removed items. I was given clear pricing for each item I added to the load: I thought that it was very fair given the heavy lifting required. The convenience of not having to lift and remove the items or negotiate with various charitable pick-up services over whether they would or would not accept items was absolutely worth it!
