This is the second time that I used Junk Relief in a two month period and again I was not disappointed. Kyle, Zack and the the rest of the office staff at Junk Relief are professional, honest and on top of their game . Joe the owner of Junk Relief is a great person who follows up to ensure his clients get the best service . He has also been outstanding to deal with during my two jobs with Junk Relief . I had to change the amount of pick up items many times over a two day period and they worked effortlessly with him to pick up the items and give me the right pricing . This company did not bait and switch with their price like other companies I called. The gave you the price upfront and there were no added cost when they came to our home. The technicians for the pick up were outstanding. They called 30 minutes before arrival and were courteous and knew what they were doing with the removal of large furniture items. I'm not sure when the Salvation Army got so picky about the things they take, but I'm glad places like this exist. I arranged a pick-up with the Salvation Army to take some larger items that will not be making the trip to my new place. The drivers wouldn't/couldn't take my Crate & Barrel TV stand, computer chair (because there were a few cat hairs on it*), and my couch and chair because they were sun damaged. Frustrated and in a bind, I researched a few junk removal places on Yelp and found 1800-Junk Relief. 1800JR had a helpful website and when I called, the quoting process was quick. 1800JR came in cheaper than the other place I called, and had immediate availability. I booked them for the next morning to take the SA rejects I couldn't Freecycle. Shortly after, I had an email confirming my scheduled pickup. 1800JR came right when they said they would and were quick to load my couch and chair into their truck. The guys who came were very nice and took care to remove everything without damaging anything on the way out. I would definitely call them the next time I need to unload items. * Had the manfriend, as a non-pet owner, inspect the chair and he was shocked that they would refuse it. REPEAT CUSTOMER This was our 2nd time hiring Junk Relief. We hired them in May 2018. We hired Junk Relief AGAIN in November 2018. We are repeat customers and will be as long we need to hire a company to remove old furniture pieces or anything else from our home. I mentioned to Joe, the Owner, that we hired them in May 2018, and are "repeat" customers. Joe said, "I'm giving you a discount" because we hired his company a 2nd time. We really, really appreciated the discount. It was an unexpected surprise! We had our old beat-up broken down 16 year old leather sofa removed. We called Junk Relief on Monday. We needed the old sofa hauled away Tuesday to make room for our brand-new Italian leather sofa (which was delivered Nov. 14, 2018). We received a quote from Junk Relief almost immediately. We booked a request on-line, but also left them a voicemail (company '800' phone number). They contacted us in under 2-hours, Monday, and came Tuesday to remove the old sofa. Howard and "Q" were professional, courteous and on-time. They worked hard taking apart the old sofa. They hauled away the old sofa within minutes. They were in and out quickly. I gave Howard and Q bottles of water. I thanked them for doing a fantastic and efficient job. Again, no damage to our oak hardwood floors, wall or front door. Plus, it was a reasonable price-point. We are thankful for Junk Relief. This company hires excellent employees who are professional, courteous, helpful, kind, hard working and efficient. Had the pleasure of working with JUNK Relief 9.15.18. Emailed for a quote at 6pm on Sunday evening and had a reply with solid quote before noon on Monday the week before. (Other companies stated they would have to come out to assess item before giving me a definitive quote)? Driver called 45 minutes before scheduled time to say that they could arrive half hour earlier if that worked to my schedule, or keep scheduled time. These guys live up to their 5-star rating! I arranged for some furniture to be removed from my parents' basement. Joe was prompt and helpful in settling up the appointment. The workmen arrived when expected and got everything out and on their truck in 35 minutes! I didn't meet them, but my parents could not stop singing their praises. We like how they try to recycle as much as they can, leaving less stuff for the landfill. Later, my dad thought something that wasn't supposed to go had accidentally been taken away. They called Joe who said his team would look for it. The item was eventually found in the basement. But my parents loved how Joe called to follow up on the missing item. We have a very narrow city entryway and getting our couch removed was a big concern. I called Junk Relief for a quote, and they said they could be here the next day. Junk Relief was fast, cost was what they quoted, the guys were excellent to work with and communicate with. However, when I called to discuss the services provided I was assured that stuff that could be donated or recycled would be. We separated our "junk" into these categories. In our junk were some new clothes with tags, basic furniture in good condition, lamps, etc. We also had a large pile of trash. It was all thrown into the truck together. When we asked about it we were told the guys were going to the dump to empty the truck then would come back for the second load. There is no recycling or donating happening. It made us sad because we wanted to do the right thing. On the other hand, we had to empty the house in a short time - and Junk Relief enabled us to do that. For that we thank them! read more

Excellent service, would definitely hire again. The price was fair for the scope of work, and the scheduling was easy. Reggie and Abel removed a 40" tube TV (yeah, the Sony model that weighs 300 pounds) and an old 250 pound elliptical machine from the third floor of my townhouse. I've used Junk Relief twice now, and this is 100% my new go-to place when I need stuff removed. Like many people, if I have an okay-ish piece of furniture that won't sell for more than 20 bucks or won't fit in the back of my car, my goal is to get rid of it as fast I can without the hassle of trying to sell it to flakey people on the internet. I was first interested in this company because they are focused on donating and recycling. They have a large warehouse where they sort through every item they collect and either donate usable goods or recycle as much as they can. Beyond this, the quote they gave me to remove my sectional couch was much lower than quotes I received from any other company. The team was really great. They quoted me a time between 12 and 3 and ended up arriving a little later but still within the quoted time frame. Even so, a manager personally called me to apologize and let me know the team had gotten stuck behind some bad traffic and was en route. They were also very accommodating and made it easy for me to change my request even day off pick up. As part of the set up process they do ask for pictures of the items that need removal.
