1/5 -- Extremely Disappointing Customer Service & Zero Accountability…read more Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Coastline Moving Company. The actual move itself was generally fine, but everything surrounding the experience -- punctuality, communication, professionalism, and especially how they handled a legitimate concern -- was extremely disappointing. The crew arrived close to 30 minutes late, and they were also late arriving at the final destination after leaving the first house. There was little to no communication about the delays. The biggest issue, however, was that the crew tracked dirt onto the carpet in my brand-new construction home. These were clean, new carpets. I brought it up at the end of the move, BEFORE making payment, because I expected the company to take accountability for something that happened during their service. Instead, the lead mover became incredibly unprofessional. He made negative comments about me and insinuated that I was simply complaining because I "wanted a discount." That was both insulting and completely inaccurate. I wasn't looking for a discount -- I wanted my brand-new carpets left in the condition they were in before the movers entered my home. I contacted management and spoke with a manager by phone. I was reassured that their claims department would contact me within 48-72 hours. It has now been a full week, and I have received absolutely nothing. I have attempted to follow up and, at this point, it feels like I am simply being ignored. I'll pay to have the carpets professionally cleaned myself. The cost of cleaning them isn't even the biggest issue anymore -- it's the complete lack of accountability and customer service. Things can go wrong during a move. I understand that. What separates a reputable company from a bad one is how they respond when something does go wrong. Coastline had multiple opportunities to make a relatively minor issue right, and instead I received an unprofessional interaction, an unfulfilled promise from management, and then silence. For a company entrusted with moving customers' belongings into their homes, I expected significantly better professionalism and accountability. I would not use Coastline Moving Company again, and based on how they handled this situation, I cannot recommend them to others.
