They called 30 minutes before arrival. Less than five minutes two couches and dining room table were gone. We received written confirmation multiple times, including a final confirmation just 8 days prior, where Sophia confirmed our booking for May 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Our event began as planned with shredding and electronic recycling. However, by 10:30 a.m., Junkluggers had still not arrived. After multiple calls and texts to Sophia, we were told that our event was not on their schedule. Eventually, close to 11:00 a.m., a bin was dropped off in the parking lot--with no staff present to assist with loading heavy items--and then they left. This created a significant issue, leaving us with a large volume of electronics and no proper support or structure to manage it during the event. To be clear, my issue is not with the company overall, as they ultimately showed up in some capacity. The issue is with the breakdown in communication and handling by Sophia, who was responsible for booking and confirming this event. We had to scramble to find a last-minute backup, which would have cost us an additional $800 and could not have arrived until after our event had already ended. This situation was unacceptable and highly unprofessional, especially given the amount of advance planning and written confirmations in place. As a result, we will not be using them for future company events.
