I went up to the counter and ordered the lb of brisket. I went to my table and waited. It wasn't very long that she brought over 4 sauces, Cole slaw, mashed potatoes and a cucumber and tomato salad. I asked her what the sauces were. I had hot sauce, barbecue sauce, a red salsa and a green salsa and the meat came soon after. She came and checked on me a few times. She was attentive. I went back to the menu on my phone to prepare for a carryout order. I noticed that the menu showed other sauces. I asked her for the chimichurri sauce. She brought it. A larger party ended up being seated close to me. I noticed that they had additional sides and sauces. When she came back I asked her about the sides because I wasn't interested in trying the other sauces that I saw on the menu. She stated that when a person is dining alone they only get all of the sides if they request them. So now I'm a bit annoyed. If I've already told you that this was my first time then why wouldn't you at least tell me what you have and let me decide? Don't just assume what sides I want. If these sides automatically come with my food why do I have to request them anyways? If Im a first time visitor how am I supposed to know what to ask for without you giving me any options?
