I visited as a solo diner today. Place didn't meet my expectations from what I've seen on social media. It was still a decent experience for the most part though. It was very quiet as I was the only diner for the beginning of my visit. When I walked in I was asked if I was dining in or carrying out and if it was my first time. I said dine in and yes, this is my first time then proceeded to scan the QR code at the hostess stand. She said yes scan that and when you're ready you can order up there and we will bring it to you. I went up to the counter and ordered the lb of brisket. I went to my table and waited. It wasn't very long that she brought over 4 sauces, Cole slaw, mashed potatoes and a cucumber and tomato salad. I asked her what the sauces were. I had hot sauce, barbecue sauce, a red salsa and a green salsa and the meat came soon after. She came and checked on me a few times. She was attentive. I went back to the menu on my phone to prepare for a carryout order. I noticed that the menu showed other sauces. I asked her for the chimichurri sauce. She brought it. A larger party ended up being seated close to me. I noticed that they had additional sides and sauces. When she came back I asked her about the sides because I wasn't interested in trying the other sauces that I saw on the menu. She stated that when a person is dining alone they only get all of the sides if they request them. So now I'm a bit annoyed. If I've already told you that this was my first time then why wouldn't you at least tell me what you have and let me decide? Don't just assume what sides I want. If these sides automatically come with my food why do I have to request them anyways? If Im a first time visitor how am I supposed to know what to ask for without you giving me any options? I don't believe in wasting food so I'm ok with not just giving a solo person everything but at least make sure that I know what is available to me. Give me the option to pass on it. It's not ok for you to choose for me, especially since it comes with my meal anyways. I initially thought that some items may be swapped out on certain days so I didn't question it. Never thought that it's just not being offered to me. I placed a carryout order for a friend. After it was packed up I asked questions this time. Sadly, it was the same thing. They left out what they felt like leaving out. I had to specifically ask for the missing items. After checking the bag I realized that he didn't get the same sauces that I had, he had no hot peppers and no mashed potatoes even though I advised them that this was for someone else and I wanted to make sure they had the food that they paid for. They had no issue giving it after I asked but I shouldn't have to do that if you're advertising these things that come with your meal. Who knows what else I missed trying because I didn't know to specifically ask. Overall the space is nice and the food was good. Just make sure you ask all the questions and don't assume that you're getting everything you paid for. Sadly you might have to specifically ask for it. read more

I brought my family here for a birthday celebration. We had a great experience and liked the halal meat! The servers were friendly (you order at front but someone does stop by your table), and I liked the overall vibe of the restaurant. We ordered brisket and lamb shank. The meat was very tender and smoked really well. It was cooked to perfection. Yet the flavor profile wasn't really there. It was bland compared to what I expected, and I needed to use the sauces to make up for the lack of flavor. Also while the rice they served each person was warm the sides were quite cold. I wish they were room temperature at least because it wasn't mixing well with the hot meat. Still recommend trying out this spot for sure but not sure if I will be craving it again anytime soon. So was really excited to try this spot out. A last minute decision. I was pulled in by a TikTok of the fire show. We did not see a fire show. Must have been too late or only at a certain time. So the process was also not my favorite. You sit down and scan a barcode to see the "menu" choose what you want. Then you go up order and pay at the end of the counter. Then they bring the food out to you. BEWARE there are SEVERAL items that you can NOT purchase at 1lb. (The meat is about $50 per pound minimum) I went with three friends and we all wanted to try different meats to give a well rounded review. We ended up only getting the lamb shank, and beef brisket. They were edible but nothing that i would say was great. The seasoning was a bit too heavy in my opinion. We were told the lamb ribs had to be purchased at 3lbs minimum... which none of us could eat alone. (Then they mentioned several others that were also minimums of over 1lb) Then we got the sides. I was HIGHLY dissatisfied with the mashed potatoes that were clearly boxed flakes. As a lover of mashed potatoes I've never had worse ones at a restaurant. The sauces were nothing special. The rice was on the dry side and not flavorful. The potatoes were okay. There are "endless" sides and drinks but nothing spectacular. Basic Pepsi products. The chairs are comfortable. The place is inside a walkable mall area so the parking is a little walk. All in all I would not go here again. I would definitely advise against this spot. Not worth wasting your energy in my opinion. The temperature was not hot it was actually maybe room temperature warm. The only reviving quality was that Miayoung was a fantastic waiter. The greeter was very friendly and explained how they cook the meats 14 to 16 hours in advance so basically you just go to the counter and order. Within minutes, they deliver the meats along with an abundance of sides. Most of the meats were lamb and the other options were beef. The food was scrumptious, and the meat literally fell off of the bone . The spices were perfect, and it was a great experience overall. If it's your first time there, then they put on a show as they warm up your meats and get them ready to be served to you at your table . I felt this unnecessary and off putting. Another problem was no bread. Lavash or Pide would have enhanced the smokey savory flavors of the meat. We visited on the first Saturday after Ramadan ends. How do you specialize in smoked barbeque and have no flavor? The sides are already on the table in small but unlimited portions. Potatoes, as others have noted, taste like instant. Roast potatoes thown on with the meat are luke-warm. Corn out of a can. "Salad" is a small dish of greens. Price is by the pound, but be aware, there were four of us and we got brisket and ribs. The bones probably weighed a pound, so paying by the weight, you just paid an extra $50 for bones. Since the food is halal, and since it was Ramadan, you might have expected that they would have included at least one date per person to break the fast. Ordered tea after dinner, but the hot water machine wasn't working. Really, is it so hard to use another way to heat water? Since I don't require an halal menu, I'll stick to regular barbeque restaurants that know how to flavor their featured food. read more

Went for lunch, which is until 3 on weekdays. Half off lamb shank/brisket. Came with sauces, rice, couscous, potatoes, and some different pickles like giardineria. Meat server seasoned the meat, even threw some salt up and caught it on the meat. Taste was good, nice and tender. You'd think the bathrooms would be clean. The floors were absolutely disgusting, the ceiling tiles look moldy. It made me worried to think of the cleanliness of the kitchen... The three servers were sitting on their phones, eating, drinking, by the ordering station. (Patially due to no other patrons.) We had to ask for refills of drinks. I did not see anyone washing hands between eating and bringing food to customers. The cost for 2 people was $101.00. We were looking for the experience. It was a splurge. Meat moot is absolutely delicious and worth the hype. Yes, the meat is cooked to perfection. And yes, takes hours upon hours to cook, to be soft and tender, but the real thing is that you get dinner with a show when they cut open that foil packet and throw the spices around making Emril look like some sort of pilgrim child. One thing I really liked about this place is how clean it was. The service was really good as well from the time that they seated us to the time we left. It boasts an opulent interior that is inviting and fun. We ordered the brisket, because they didn't allow any lamb options to be ordered under a certain number of pounds which was annoying since we were just two people. The brisket was smoky and well cooked. It was a tad bit dry and could have used a stronger dry rub but was good nonetheless. The unlimited sides, sauces, and drinks were a great touch that made the experience very nice and fun to explore all the options. All you can eat sides all these sauces (which are needed to try and create some type of flavor) drink with meal... great! One it's way too many starches! The mashed potatoes are instant so they suck! I'm sure none of the sauces are homemade and the roasted potatoes weren't that good either and they arrived at the table cold and for the love of God add some sweetness to the salad dressing to wake up all the acid from the dressing! We added a lil honey to the salad to wake up the flavor! My friend made a really good point... the sides are all unlimited but none of the sides make you want to order more!
