During the COVID lockdown, walking the trails became my favorite pastime. Especially as a pregnant woman looking for peace and fresh air, lol. Years later, those same trails are still a favorite activity for my son and me. More recently, I've taken up disc golf and was excited to find out the group I joined regularly plays at the Okeeheelee course. It's been such a fun and engaging experience! Just yesterday, I attended a picnic at one of the park's pavilions, and it was wonderful. The swings and playground next to the pavilion made it perfect for a family-friendly event. The space provided plenty of seating and shade, so everyone could enjoy themselves without being overwhelmed by the heat. There's still so much of this park I haven't explored yet, and I genuinely look forward to continuing to visit for years to come.

Hooks are baited, fish taken off and pictures taken. He really knows how to find the fish. The boat is located at Castaway's Marina behind the Square Grouper Tiki Bar in Jupiter, Florida. You don't need to know how to fish to join this charter. They will teach you everything and you will have fun and see fish, mabe dolphins, sea birds, and maybe a shark or three.

His partner Jay helped to coordinate the trip via phone call and text exchange 5 days prior to trip. Jay provided all details about where to meet and what to expect. When we arrived the boat we were greeted by Marc. Capt Marc did a great training session with the reel and Rod we used and I caught a mutton snapper with 5 casts. He then took us to deep water. Where we immediately fished into banded rudder fish which gave the best fight I have seen out of a 10-15 lbs fish. I hooked into probably 8 rudder fish and was able to bring aboard 3. Also caught a small Bonita. Sharks took the ones we could not land. Capt Marc did all the baiting and restringing of hooks and boarded the fish. My son had the same amount of fish but also caught a good sized king mackerel. We were out for almost 4 hours and had a great time. Highly recommend the Mystic Rose.

I can only imagine what this park is like on the weekends. There are boat launches and paid boat parking on one side and free car parking and a little cute beach that is good for snorkeling and scuba on the other side (under the bridge). I also loved that there was also a lifeguard on duty starting at 9am. There are outdoor showers and a public restroom but I didn't use them.

To see the sun set with such dramatic colors in the sky, while knowing that it will rise again the next day, hopefully it can instill and renew hope within you to muster up the strength to face whatever challenge you are facing on that day. We stayed briefly and didn't stay a while. Maybe all three of us thought of different things, but to coexist in that beautiful moment was nice enough for me to want to go back again soon. The view was really nice. Words can't describe how I felt so please stop by yourself and feel for it yourself. The walkaway and parking was kinda tricky for me. It's nice but then again it's accessible to anyone so it can be rough depending on what kind of crowd is there. You might have to walk around like we did to find few good picture spots. The roads are two way but kinda tight so if you are driving around in an suv like me, please be mindful of the size of your vehicle while on the road!

I have been fishing my entire life and this trip was hands down the most fun I have ever had fishing. The first day he put us on the deep drop in 1,000+ feet of water, where we slayed the Yellow Eye Snapper, which produce amazing white flaky filets. That night we had a fish fry at the resort along with some cold Kaliks. The next morning we were up at dawn catching live bait for our offshore adventure. We ran out to 2,500+ ft of water where we were chasing the Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna. We were reeling them in left and right. Wes told us we would catch Yellowfin before we left the dock and he delivered. We also caught some monster Mahi's. At one point we were all three hooked up on big fish at the same time, and I remembered thinking now "I know where the name Reel Intense came from." Another fish fry that night with the addition of the most amazing Yellowfin sashimi. The third day we did some spear fishing and speared some Hog Snapper, another one of my favorites. We finished up with another deep drop, which produced a bunch of Queen Snappers. It was a perfect trip. I would highly recommend Reel Intense Fishing Charters. Wes is an absolute pro and he makes the trip fun every time I have been out with him. I can't wait to get out there again.
