The boat leaves from the docks behind utiki in Jupiter so afterwards you can grad lunch or dinner at one of the great restaurants on the riverwalk. Expect a long 30/40 min ride out and back and you can only fish from one side of the boat (drift fishing) so can be kinda on top of other people at times. I highly recommend this boat for fishing. The boat is clean inside and out. The captain of the boat put us on the fish several times. The mates were excellent, always willing to help! They are not stingy with their bait on the boat. They also chum. We had gone on other boats, but they were nothing like this boat. We definitely will be back for another trip. My family (H & W + 2 teen boys) was visiting from NJ. We booked the afternoon trip out of Jupiter. The crew was really on the ball!! There was never a hook without bait!! They were very helpful and informative for a first timer like myself. We caught a ton of fish, (not all keepers) and we saw sharks!! We did have to move due to the sharks eating our catch But, that was definitely an excited part of the trip. The captain filleted our catch for us (we only took 4 fish out of the 6 keepers) and recommended a local restaurant to cook it up for us at The Thirsty Turtle down the road. 10/10. read more

Don't let the the photos deceive you. It's pretty easy to find photos of people catching fish online then screenshot those photos and use in on your "professional" page. This was a cynic boat ride "not a fishing trip". We had about 30 people on this charter but about 2 people caught fish. This trip was 70% riding in a boat and about 30% fishing. We changed locations 4 times with every ride being longer then the actual fishing. They say any rod with bait, line, and hooks will catch a fish. But not rods that are old and broken. Most of my trip was spent fixing my reel or battling other people for space. read more

I have fished this drift boat off and on for over 20 years. Never as a regular. I'm not one of the "back of the boat" guys. I wish I was, but I just can't afford to go very often. I have never had a bad trip that was caused by lack of professionalism by the crew. This boat is run by a family that hires the best captains and mates in the business. I have two kids and they love going too. My daughter is 22 now and has been going since she was 4 years old. That bond we forged while fishing together has never waned. I used to fish the Lantana and Boynton drift boats when I was growing up here, but after going out on the Blue Heron I've never gone back. I would strongly recommend this boat to any one considering a trip in our area. read more

Definitely the cheapest fishing charter around if you don't mind listening to the bait boys mouth! I have never been on a fishing boat before where I felt like a theater production was in progress as well. Unfortunate because I think he scared away some of the fish? Hopefully he is not the sole Bait Boy and there are others? So, if you bring your own bait and rode I would definitely recommend this clean boat! John, who drove the boat was very polite and offered to take my photo, kudos to John! Fortunately for this fishing charter it leaves out of Jupiter which is known for great bottom fishing and deep sea not far out either. Easy online reservation. This was our first time on this boat and it was amazing! Every year for the past 3 years I have brought my son fishing on his birthday and this was by far the best experience ever! Just need to vent! Went out on a perfect weather day. Excited about catching a lot of fish! First the captain says put 3 ounces on the rods. I brought my own rod and reel. Then he says put one ounce on the rods! I have 50 pound line on my reel. The first drift , I tell the mate I can't tell when I'm on the bottom and I can't feel the bottom. I get a few hits the first drift with no hook ups and the bait shows the fish missed the hooks. That was all the hits I got all day. People around me are catching fish. The captain comes by and tells me I have too much line out! I tell him I can't feel the bottom. One guy 3 to my right is catching one fish after another. Turns out almost all fish caught were caught by people who switched to two ounces! The mate was being very attentive, but never bothered to suggest I switch to two ounces! On the way back in, I looked at the rods of the people who caught fish, and most of them had two ounces on their lines. So, if they are really concerned about their customers catching fish, wouldn't you think they could see the obvious and change me from one to two ounces!? I watched the guy to my left catch three mutton snappers in a row and his line was straight down, while mine was straight out from the boat. Should I have asked for the heavier weight? Probably, but the mate saw what was going on and I differed to his experience. Not even one hit since the first drift! Most people on board caught fish! I gave the mate a good tip, anyway, even though I didn't want to and now I'm saying my peace so I can try to forget about this very aggravating experience. All I wanted for my $90 was an equal chance to catch fish! read more

We started our day with perfect weather and calm seas, excited to catch some fish. There were roughly 40 people packed side by side and competing for fish. Out of the 4 in our group, we ended up with one small yellowtail to take home. For $80 per person this is no deal. One person caught a large African Pompano but everything else was small or not edible. Attentive mates, nice boat and clean restrooms. Grab a few of your friends and schedule a half day charter with an experienced guide for roughly the same price. read more

Not super. The party boat atmosphere is hard for people to get used to, and a lot of the time only the people at the back of the boat catch fish. The captain and mates don't seem as concerned as getting everyone into fish as most other charters should. The lines usually get tangled up with tons of people fishing, and the pool leads to a more tense atmosphere with more people competing for fish. I've seen pool fish fought over and sabotaged for the sake of money. Not for me at all. read more

This was the worse fishing trip I've ever been on. I live in California and was visiting my Dad in West Palm Beach and I've fished party boats in California, and in Miami boats before and my Dad owned a boat in Grenada and fish tournaments often. So we understand that there will be people on the boat that is there first time or 30th time, but the thing is the whole time i was waiting for them to come over and untangle me from 8 other fisherman and fisherwomen : ) I can understand you can hold "60" on the boat to fish, but that doesn't mean we need to be arm and arm. When people were lucky enough to catch and bring up the fish you had to wait for them to untangle lines to get to you, because you couldn't bring the fish into the boat to release it. My Dad paid for me and 5 my brothers to fish that day(7total with my dad) and three it was there first time fishing on this type of trip, but caught and brought up fish. Before we can take a pic of them with it, they cut the line or threw it overboard. Because "it wasn't a keeper" and also said "we have other fish to take pics with". A lot of people were catching a type of school fish they don't like to keep, so they threw the fish back with hooks, alive, not alive and said "the sharks will eat them". Ok. Guess what, not less than 10mins and three sharks were all over our bait and the fish that people were brining in. So half the time we were moving and the other half we spent tangled up. I had my line down 4 times at each spot we went to and only went to two spots even though we were suppose to go to three. I pulled two fish up to the boat but each time they got tangled and broke the line. When we got back the second trip had about 15 people waiting to go aboard and we had around 50-55. If they were good business people they would have told all the bigger parties, if you take next trip we'll let in one for free(5 or more in a group). That helps them have less tangles with less in the boat, and two trips could actually catch and enjoy the trip instead of watch people untangle lines all day and then ask for a tip. WoW Heres your Tip-- regulate the size of your trips. Even though you can pack 60 on doesn't mean it's right. You get people back if they can have fun on the ship and bring fish in. Offer people the second trip for $5 off so you get a second trip also. People sitting waiting brings in a crowd. You loose tackle, bait, waist your crews time, and lose customers and get true reviews about what you actually sell. If you are in between picking this or paying $20-$40 more. Do the upgrade it will be worth it. This wasn't worth it at all. read more

After reading the bad reviews on here it seems that people don't understand party boat fishing or they do understand it but still knock it. All party boats are the same carrying paying fares and their will be tangles, Be prepared to work around other people as these fish do have tails and like to swim fast in all directions, its just part of the game. Once you get the hang of it you can easily fall in love with fishing these big boats for a cheap price in all reality of fishing as charters can cost up in the few hundreds at times. I always liked the fact of being on a big aluminum boat if god forbid weather did arise at least i know I'm safe, a big cabin to eat my lunch and have a seat in between drifts and plenty of room for whatever else you may like to do. The Capt and Crew are seasoned, experienced fisherman and will try their best to catch you fish, listen to instruction and follow. I would recommend fishing the entire day on both trips as one maybe better than the other due to conditions changing, and hey why not MAKE A DAY OF IT! Watch some of the veteran guys who are catching fish and see what they do, or even better walk over and ask for some advice. 9/10 times people are more than happy to teach you a trick of the trade, and that's exactly what i did. If you do pay attention and be observant you should have the hang of fishing in an hour or so. Family in for a weekend of sun and fun, time for some drift fishing. We did the 0800 trip, arriving about 0745. There was an organized line in queue. Then ya get the dolt that has to walk past everyone waiting to the front of the line, idiot. This is no reflection on the boat, just a holes. Everyone in line got on the boat to our little spots. A hole went to the bow. Nuff said about the a hole. It's a quick 20 minute ride and dingghggghg...fishing time. It's drift fishing, quite the array of fish caught. The entire time the crew were working, rebaiting...detangleing...rerigging...and delivering bad jokes. BAD JOKES...lol. A good time was had, thanks boys. read more

Spend more time untangling your line than fishing. They bunch everyone up shoulder to shoulder on one side of the boat instead of spreading everyone out throughout the entire boat. Attendants cop an attitude if you don't catch on to their instructions. Next time I'll pay a little more to go "Fishing" instead of wasting all my time messing around with these dudes. read more

This fishing trip was an absolute mess compared to other charters I've been on before. First of all, they squeeze 45+ people on one side of the boat, and the boat isn't that big mind you. It is extremely easy to get tangled with others and you are literally squeezed between them. You move around about every ten to fifteen minutes so you don't have much time to fish in one area even though the area was full of fish. The crew was filled with a bunch of rude guys who thought they were funny being condescending and blaming first time fishers for tangling lines. I got a few bites but the one time I had a fish the line got tangled and the fish took the hook. Overall it was a terrible experience for most of the people on the boat. There were not a lot of fish caught overall and it was limited to the ends of the boats. Certainly not worth the 45 dollars. Find another boat to fish on. read more

Drift fishing with 20+ people fishing on the same side of the boat is not my idea of fishing or fun. Tangled lines, struggling with a fish on the line while trying to get from the stern to the bow or vice versa to reel it in and trying to get by 20 people. Horror show. Save your 120 dollars for two, for 4 hours at 45 for adults, 10 for the pool, and 20 for tips. First, everyone stands on one side of the boat no matter how many people and it's crowded. You drift for fish and if you get lucky enough to catch one, which was all our boat caught except for a few non keepers, you have to maneuver your pole over everyone fishing from stern to bow and back. The crew. Did what they had to but, and I'm from NY, I found them to be rude and obnoxious. One ass monkey yelled at me when my wife snagged a shark and was getting pulled from stern to bow as her rod spun out of control and l placed my rod, which was already reeled in and had no bait on it, on a bench. He screamed at me to take it off immediately because it might scratch the bench. You do it moron. I'm doing your job trying to make sure your pole doesn't get lost at sea because my wife was being dragged to the front of the boat. All the mates constantly yelled at the customers fishing telling them that they are causing their own tangles, not the fact the tide was, and that they better hold onto their poles or they will be paying $ 200.00 if they drop it in the water. Tools. Really. Finally, and this almost made me want to hit the fool, but i was trying to control my Bronx, NY temper for my wife's sake, another mate collecting the cash tips, which they made clear a dozen times or so they needed to survive, had the nerve to yell at me that I shouldn't have handed him the money folded up, which I did because I had a 10 and ten singles, then proceeded to yell that out to the crowd and describe what I did like he was pissed at me. Save your money, and they only take cash, because it is a joke of a crew and a trip. Most of the other customers fishing were all complaining also. It was a total joke. The only person who caught the pool fish and the only keeper, was a friend of the crew who fished off the back of the boat with his own pole. I have done charter fishing in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, with nicer crews. I go to Montauk, Captree, Port Jefferson, and Brooklyn, and have never met a more screwed up crew and fishing technique. read more

Called them the day before the trip to make sure they would be going, the forecast was 4-6 foot seas, they said no problem drove 3 hours to get there, the crew was not very enthusiastic and they cancelled the trip. Not very impressed, smaller charter boats went out had I known earlier they were gonna bail I could have booked with someone else. Wasted a whole day. read more
