I called on Monday afternoon to schedule an apt for my mother-in-law and this receptionist named Jennifer picked up the call. She was downright rude and impatient during the entire call. She sounded like she wanted to end the call every time I asked a question. When she begrudgingly booked me for a Wednesday afternoon appointment, I called on Tuesday to confirm it only to find out from another receptionist that Jennifer never booked my apt and that she booked someone else during that time slot. I went to Juntendo not knowing what to expect. I was desperate because I had several concurrent issues - and these issues were not easy issues to deal with or even treat (autoimmune kidney and heart issues). I was suffering tremendously with treatments from my regular physician (steroids and then chemo) for my kidneys. I had edema that just didn't want to go away, and when I went into afib, it only got worse. I wasn't 100% sure that acupuncture would help me - but I was willing to try anything, and went in with an open mind. I know acupuncture is a valid treatment (despite the fact that my insurance doesn't cover it). I started there in about August of 2018. It's now September 2019, and I am doing much better - and have been able to decrease my medications, and have even dropped one altogether. It's taken a long time to see any results - but when things are complicated, you have to be patient. Things cannot be fixed overnight - not even with TCM. The combination of acupuncture with my traditional treatments are what helped. The fact that the treatments allowed me (and forced me) to sit back and relax for an hour each time, have helped me. Not only has acupuncture helped with my more serious issues, they also work on small things when they pop up (pain from broken ribs, sciatica and other minor issues) Dr. Ye truly wants to help, and she truly loves and believes in what she does. It's refreshing to see that. She is even more excited about my progress than I am sometimes :) She accepted a tough challenge - and while we're still working on it, progress has been made. I've had about 6 acupuncture sessions at Jutendo Clinic to address various issues. Within the first few seasions I noticed a big difference with my menstrual cycle. I've struggled with cramps since I was 14, then in addition, headaches and backaches later in life. I have severe cramps and headaches for about a week before my period and then headaches and back/shoulder aches a week after my period lasting another week. I started my period after the first 2 sessions, and I had cramps for only one day and it was not severe. I'm getting ready to start my next period and usually I'll be alerted by cramps starting 7 days before, but this time I wasn't even aware that it was almost time for my period because I had no symptoms until 3 days before, when I had cramps for 1 night. So I've gone from 7 days of cramps and headaches before my period and 7 to 10 days of headaches and back/shoulder aches after my period, to 1 day of cramps before my period and no headaches or back/shoulder aches before or after. My period flow is also healthier, as it should be. My gut health, I've noticed is also way better. I used to go #2 about once a week, now I'm going on average about 4 times a week. I would highly recommend Jutendo Clinic, because they provide holistic care and not only focus on 1 area. The 2 doctors I've worked with have provided great care. I love Juntendo Clinic! I started going there over 7 years ago to get some relieve from an almost paralyzing autoimmune disorder (RA). I have chronic psoriasis and no treatments seemed to work. Finally decided to give acupuncture a try. Dr. Ye has been a god send to me! It's been almost two years now, and I am cured! Dr. Ye couldn't be nicer to me and helped me every step of the way. She also helped me with headaches and heartburn. To be honest, I was a little skeptical at the beginning, and I was scared of needles. Dr. Kari Ye is by far the most amazing acupuncturist I have ever met. I began seeing Dr. Kari in early 2010 to help cure me of the worst case of psoriasis before my wedding that was soon approaching. She cured me of that in about 6 months. My husband and I were having trouble conceiving after our wedding to which Dr. Kari informed me I had a "cold uterus". This would need to be fixed in order to conceive. I was worried because I was turning 42 in late Oct. To my surprise we were delighted to find out we were pregnant with a little girl born in 2012. I was 42 at the time. Fast forward to today I am happy to report we are expecting again, I'm still in happy shock, and due next year. I'm 44. All natural with no medical intervention. When I was 35-36 weeks pregnant my baby was breech and I went (back because I've seen Dr. Ye in the past) to try acupuncture to see if the baby would flip on her own. I saw her 2 consecutive times and along with the needles she used moxa...and gave me some to use at home too. Well, it worked, at my next doctor appointment my doctor told me the baby's head was down...and she stayed down (she was a filpper the whole pregnancy). Since I previously had a c-section, my doctor told me that if I didn't go into labor on my own then I'd have to have another one. I didn't want to have another c-section and since I was 2 weeks late with my first pregnancy and had to be induced...going into labor on my own by my due date with this pregnancy was probably unlikely. When I had my regular doctor appointment on a Thursday (39 weeks 5 days) I was told I wasn't dialated or effaced...and he gave me until 41 weeks to go into labor or it'd be a c-section. I already decided that by my 40th week if I hadn't gone into labor then I'd try acupuncture. So, the very next day (Friday) I went to see Dr. Ye...I wanted to at least try to see if acupuncture could help me. I saw her both Friday and Saturday...early Sunday morning (around 4am) I started having pains that woke me up...they eventually got worse and it dawned on me that these might be contractions. To make a long story short, I was in labor. I went to the hospital at around 9:30am and my baby was born at 1:11pm...on her due date. Dr. Ye is such a nice person and she really wants to help you...she takes her time with you and really makes you feel that you're in good hands. She knows what she's doing and I highly recommend seeing her for anything...not just pregnancy related issues. read more

I started doing acupuncture a few months ago and have seen amazing results so far. I went because I had a troubling case of PVCs (irregular heart beats) that my doctors could not help me with. They basically told me to not worry about them and said they will go away. Well, I didn't buy into that. I was also having issues with my Gut, and like most, was completely stressed out and dealing with extreme anxiety from work. The stress was so bad I was having troubles breathing normally. Well, here I am a few months later after seeing Dr. Kari basically 2-3 times a month, and I can honestly report that I no longer notice the PVCs, I am breathing normally, my stress level has come way down, and my gut is improving. I feel great and am hooked on acupuncture and Dr. Kari specifically for the rest of my life. Having the PVCs under control and getting to the root cause issues is something that will literally change my life. At first, I was a little skeptical of having needles put in my body; I must admit. Will it hurt? Will I freak out? A few things helped me overcome these fears very quickly. First, Dr. Kari is absolutely fantastic. After spending just a few minutes with her you quickly realize she is extremely smart, great at what she does, and cares deeply for her patients. That helped me out a lot. The second thing was the results. I started to feel noticeably better after the first appointment and now I look forward to going. The slight fears of the little needles are gone.
