This recreation of the Wizarding village derived from the Harry Potter stories, includes so many of the elements we know and love at Universal Studios Hollywood. I enjoy walking through the town, taking in all the sites. Make sure to stop by Three Broomsticks for a bite and check out the Hogsmeade Train Station at 9 and 3 Quarters.

Who doesn't love getting away from work and away from all that stress and going into a world that is full of magic and wonder? Another great job from Universal. Yes, this is smaller than Florida but still worth the visit. Love the shops and the fun rides. It looks just like the movies and books that I grew up on and they really brought this to life. Highly recommend this place to visit and check out the shops and rides.

Be prepared to spend around $50 for a wand. Try the different types of butterbeer. The cold butterbeer was my preference. It tastes like cream soda to me. The only one we didn't try was the frozen butterbeer. My guess is that it's more of a slushy type. So many things to check out. Use the bathrooms in Hogsmeade because you can hear Moaning Myrtle. Check out the pre-show before you visit Ollivander's wand shop. Loved the choosing of the wand ceremony. Stores get pretty crowded, but that's not surprising. They had a light show at night that was pretty amazing.

SO COOL, absolute must for any Harry Potter fan. I loved it even though I'm staunchly anti JK Rowling (screw TERFs all my homies hate TERFs). Anyways, Hogsmeade really transports you into the world of Harry Potter! From the Hogwarts Express and the conductor, the interactive "magic" if you have a wand, the moving storefront displays, the intricate decor and design for each of the shops, the wizards walking around helping us Muggles, the architecture and the Hogwarts castle itself. It's all very beautiful and stunning to take in. ESPECIALLY during the holiday seasons, the buildings are capped with snow, there's tinsel and wreaths galore, and lights at night with the Hogwarts Christmas lights and fireworks show at night! Huge crowds were already forming to watch the show, but since we were lucky enough to have the park to ourselves from 6-9 PM, there was plenty of space for arriving 5 minutes before the show started! Unfortunately when I went this time around they did not have bottled pumpkin juice, just bottled Gilly Water. Drats, next time! Make sure you try some cold butter beer, it's a must if you haven't already !

How beautiful it is, especially during the holidays! Probably my favorite time I've been. Potter fans will feel immersed in the story, the setting, and the magic. During holidays they delight of the school at night and it's really cute and awesome, with a merry touch. The entrance of the land is controlled by staff to prevent overcrowding but it moves and still worth the wait. I've only been on the Forbidden ride, it was scary abs thrilling and gave me some nausea - because I'm prone to motion sickness. It's a cool ride I just don't feel the need to ride it again lol. Likes for food here get long, but if you want butterbeer there are carts that sell it from why I remember.

It's a good place to eat if you want to feel like you're eating on theme with Harry Potter. I definitely enjoyed the fish and chips since it was meaty which is always nice! The ribs were alright, very saucy.

Man, this place. They did it so well. Feel like you really are in the magical world of Harry Potter while you're here. The rides are great and the castle and town look absolutely breathtaking. The hippogriff ride was nice and super quick and only lasted about 30 seconds but the other ride in the castle was like 4 minutes and went and saw a lot of the castle and a ton of the enemies in the Harry potter universe! A must try when at universal

Take me back !!! I just wanna live here! Ok in all honesty Hogsmeade is SMALL. You can be done walking around in less than an hour. BUT...if you explore every nook and cranny you can take up to two. My friend and I took photos galore in our house colors and we got to see muggles use their interactive wands. It was really interesting to see what they did with them! Muggles...so easily amused aren't they?? There's a few shops and they all pay great attention to detail. I really loved the little alleys and the window displays were absolutely gorgeous. Although I wish the false storefronts were actually real stores . At least they had the courtesy of putting "closed" signs! If you're in Hogsmeade you MUST stop by the 3 Broomsticks for a bite to eat before heading to Hogwarts. Also Butterbeer is sold at a few spots, you can have it cold or slushy style. Remember to speak to the conductor at platform 9 3/4, he's very charming! Thanks Universal, for bringing a fantastic place to life!

Frozen Butterbeer (Left) & Non-Frozen Butterbeer (Right).

If you're here, it's almost a sin to not get a butter beer! (No actual beer in it). They have a few stands selling it throughout Hogsmeade. Most stands sell it from both sides too! There are two types of butterbeer-frozen or non-frozen. I got one of each to try them both out. FROZEN BUTTER BEER: Definitely on the sweeter side-too sweet in my opinion. Would prefer the non-frozen more personally. NON FROZEN BUTTER BEER: Still sweet, but definitely less sweet than the frozen one. Would prefer this one. It's also carbonated and the foam accumulates as you drink more and more of it (I have no idea why and thought that was super cool)! Definitely would recommend sharing with someone as it's kind of a lot for one self, but if you don't believe in sharing then you do you! Haha (:

A-ma-zing! I was in awe when I stepped into Hogsmeade grounds! The wand shop with Olivander's pre-show before entering the actual wand shop, was delightful and I felt like a kid at heart again! Get there early because it can be quite crowded when everyone is shopping for their wand or the wand is looking for their owners in the magical world! I splurged and got the collections of HP, Dumbledore and Voldemort! I splurged on the grounds basically! I got a lot of souvenirs and that couldn't be helped! Been dying to go here since it opened with my family! I loved the entirety of this place and stayed here for most of the morning and afternoon! Love, love, love. The kid in me, felt fulfilled and happy, undoubtedly.

The first area…read moremy group (4 young adult women) went to upon getting there around opening time was the Super Mario world. My friends are way bigger fans of that whole world than me. I had my phase of Mario Kart when I was 8-10 years old, but that was it. They kept the Mario kart ride moving smoothly; the ride said 45 minutes but I feel like the time went by faster as we were always moving in a perpetual fashion. It was a fun ride; my only complaint was that I wish it was moving on the track faster. We were stagnant at several points waiting for the cart to continue moving. I also was shooting at everything I saw the entire time AND moving along the track with my friend next to me and then end up getting LITERALLY 0 COINS at the end like what?? Anyway, we didn't spend all day at the park since we had other obligations in the evening, but I feel like the amount of activities we did, it was not worth the $150 ticket plus $40 in parking. But that's how any amusement park is nowadays, so can't really complain I guess. The outside shopping section outside of the actual park was really neat; a lot of niche shops ranging from an autograph place to Sephora (so ANY mall-esque store you could think of). All of the food and beverages we tried, such as the cone Mac & cheese and the Mario sodas were pretty good, just pricey, as usual. Lots of shopping potential both inside and outside the park.

The rides, on the other hand, were underwhelming. Jurassic World was the best of the bunch, followed by the Harry Potter rides. Everything else was just okay. The VIP experience includes unlimited rides, but honestly, nothing in the park felt worth it enough to ride more than twice. If I were visiting purely for the rides, I'd choose Disneyland over Universal every time. In fact, if it weren't for my excellent tour guide, my recommendation would be: skip the Universal tour, pay for the Warner Bros. tour instead, and spend your ride-time at Disneyland.

Basically, for anyone who still believes that the Magic is real. And I'm going to let me let you in on a little secret.... It is, very much Real. So pack your bags, head to Platform 9 3/4 and get on the Hogwarts Express! ALL ABOARD!!!!! To The Wizarding World of Harry Potter @Universal Studios Hollywood we go! --------------------- It was May 23rd, 2026.... We were celebrating my oldest daughter's Birthday who just turned 8 a few days prior. As she recently got into watching all of the Harry Potter movies and being that we hadn't been to Universal Studios in several years, none of us had experienced the Harry Potter World before. On the day of our visit, my oldest wore her Harry Potter outfit (Team Gryffindor, of course). I don't know who was more excited, her or me... But she looked Awesome and her beaming smile said it all! We were at the front gates at opening and our 1st stop was The WW of HP and upon walking through the gates of this Magical Land... We were all immediately transformed into another world. A world of Magic, of Mystery & of course Wonder. It was something special that only you seeing it for yourself will you truly understand the Magic. And as the wise Albus Dumbledore said himself, "Words are in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic." Yes, the true magic are the things that can be said about this place; the stories told, the memories created, the experiences shared by those who had yet to experience it before. And our experience was nothing short of Pure Magic. The Hogwarts Castle is absolutely Breathtaking; I simply could not get enough of it. Yeah, as we walked away for the final time that morning, I just couldn't stop looking back at it as I was filled with joy. From the.... Train conductor at the entrance who posed for a picture with my oldest was in character the entire time and he was a pure gem. To the themed shops, the butter beer, the interactive spots throughout the land were so much fun and it's definitely my new favorite spot within the park... And of course, the themed rides that absolutely did the movies justice and were extra fun because it was our first time. We had a blast! But the most magical part of our experience was the wand shop presentation where a child is selected from the audience as the "chosen one". My daughter was randomly selected as the "chosen wizard" and was pulled front and center to be apart of the wizardry show. It was experience she will hopefully never forget... I know I won't! A huge shoutout to Universal Studios and everyone behind making this place as real as our imaginations imagined Hogwarts would be.... You ABSOLUTELY Nailed it! Until our next adventure..... May the Magic in your heart, the imagination in your head and the hope in your spirit stay young forever.

As much as people praise Disney, there is no "land" that impressed me as much as Super Nintendo World (may be slightly biased since I'm more familiar with this IP than with Star Wars). Lots and lots of animatronics all around and the attention to details must be commended. Even the restrooms are very strongly themed with the background music changing to match and it being underwater themed too. If you have a wristband you can utilize the interactive aspects of this area, but even if you don't, it's definitely a must stop, even if you may not be much of a gamer. Bright, vibrant colors and so so much to work out. The fact that the "world" is stacked so high in the sky, really gives you the strong feeling of immersion as you are surrounded by everything you'd expect from jumping into a Super Mario game. Lots of photo ops with characters and just with the land as a back drop. There's the Toadstool Cafe, the Mario Kart ride, a shop, and so, so much to look at. Can't wait to come back again one day and not be rushed to finish all of the Fan Fest festivities.

Very interesting seeing the building facades and landscaped grounds and the history of the studio. Our tour included a snack / continental breakfast and a lunch at the Friends Central Perk cafe restaurant. Both offered a decent selection of food and drink items. In the morning they served juices, coffee, tea, water, chips, cookies, danish to munch on before the tour started. Caveat is you only have 15 minutes to relax and enjoy before leaving for the tour. Lunch break happened at the end of our two hour guided tour. The tour package lunch included a hot or cold entree, side dish and drink. We were surprised at the selection and quality of the food. Various hot and cold sandwiches, salads, chips and a full selection of hot or cold, large or small coffee drinks. Even some blended coffee drinks. We ordered the hot Cuban sandwich, Cobb salad and a large iced coffee latte drink. The Cuban was hot but a little bit soggy but still tasty. Cobb salad super fresh and healthy. Coffee drink was solid with creamy topping. After lunch you begin the self guided portion of the tour which is inside stage 48? Where the restaurant was located. There's an interactive walk-through gallery attached that shows so much history, lets you work a bit on post-production of film scenes, and photo ops with the Friends set and Big Bang Theory. The Superman Experience was incredible! Top Shelf all the way. It's an immersive event- part 3D video game you walk through, and part interactive exploration of the Fortress of Solitude. The area has a really cool bar that serves fun drinks and snacks. Finally we ended up at the self-guided DC Comics/Harry Potter museum where costumes and vehicles were on display. And they added in some cool interactive things to do as well. There's even a Sorting Hat that will tell you which House you belong in. But I protest the hat choosing Slytherin for me. That's BS. We're local so we've done pretty much all the cool stuff around, and this makes the top 5 for sure. We will be back in October for the Haunted Studio Tour!! Can't wait.

Back in my day, we didn't need a 400-ft LED screen to make the dinosaurs feel real... but I will…read moresay the "new" Mosasaurus addition at the beginning of this ride is awesome! This ride is on the lower lot of Universal Studios, the last time I won on this was almost 20-years ago. They've done a great job at keeping this attraction fresh, with the addition of the Indominus Rex & T-Rex fight, a few extra spitting dimos, and aforementioned Mosasaurus. I took my seven-year-old son on this, who is a huge Jurassic Park lover, but I did not tell him about the 80-ft drop at the end. His face on the ride drop picture was totally worth it! He loved the ride so much that he rode it again with his mom. A few things... - Definitely get a poncho. We didn't do this and got a little wet, but not too bad! - Don't want to wait in line? If you ride solo you can hop right on Pro Tip: If you have child or attendee with you that's neurodivergent you can ask for a guest accessibility card or "IBCCES" through the Universal Studios website. You'll need to apply for this about a week before your visit. This card allows you to skip the line for rides or come back to the ride at scheduled time.

I honestly think Jurassic World-The Ride is my favorite ride at Universal Studios-Hollywood!…read moreThis ride was awesome! It's a 25 seat water thriller ride w/ an 85 foot drop at the end. Lol, we didn't know what to expect from this ride but as we got seated before starting, we noticed everyone had ponchos. Definitely expect to get SOAKED throughout the 7-8 minute ride, not just at the end hahaha. I've always been a fan of water-coasters & this one was one of my favorites that I've ridden! Make sure to go on this ride if you're headed to Universal Studios-Hollywood! The wait time wasn't bad at all on the day we went but also, we didn't experience any wait times really at most of the rides we went on this day (except Bowser's Challenge).
