In general, Chicago and University is a sketchy to eccentric intersection. The sidewalks are always stained with who knows what, so tread carefully. The parking lot is another hazard, and you're probably wondering why I gave this place 4 stars, right? Well, in the therum of 'no choice', this is actually one of the better options in Riverside. Inside it's huge, clean, well organized, and brightly lit. I saw people cleaning the floors and machines, plus, there's a security guard. As a first timer, I needed a debit card, which is .50 one-time, just don't lose it, plus a 3% transaction fee, which was negligible as I'll illustrate, and you can check your balance at the same kiosk. I figured $20 was enough to wash and dry the comforter, and my credit union revealed that the total cost was $20.60 including the fees. mentioned. Looking back, I should have used the so-called 80lb machine because the 100lb in front was bigger than needed, and a little over $12 was deducted. On Tuesday and Thursday those machines are $2 less to use, according to a big banner. I found the machine was really good, though and faster than expected. It gave me a little time to grab lunch around the corner at Canton Chinese Food. The comforter was clean and easily transferred to the large dryer without using a provided cart. That's when I discovered someone's panties were still in the washer when I used it. I left those on top of the machine BTW. Finally, the dryer was pretty inexpensive, a few dollars maybe, and in 29 minutes it thoroughly dried without feeling scorched on the high setting. All-in-all, it's a necessary evil, but this spot seems like a good option for me in the future.

There are different prices for different washers that you use single load, top load, and multiple loads. You load a washing card with money and use the card to start the machines. Cards are reusable and convenient cause you don't need to carry around a lot of change. I'll be back.

A while back there was a lot of ants on the folding tables and I let her know so she can clean them off cause almost all of them were full of them and she simply looked at me and ignored me and continued to walk away, another time I needed to use the restroom and mind you I'm pregnant and showing and she again ignored me so I had to go to one of the restaurants near by to go and the same thing again today but not only did she ignore me but she ignored 2 other people. Not only until I actually went up to her and forced her answer someone told her something did she actually take time to address us and give us a complete answer instead of mumbling under her breath ignoring people and walking away. If she doesn't like dealing with people she shouldn't be doing this job. Hope management addresses customer service needs with her.

Their biggest machine (8 loads -$9.25) fill up FAST since there are only two of those. However, the next size washer (6 loads - $7.75) there are 7 of those. All other washers on premises range from 1 load & up. There is ALWAYS someone on site and you'll always catch them cleaning. Change machine, vending machines, and even a store is present where the attendant will break your larger bills or you can buy snacks and or laundry needs. My only gripe(s) isn't even with the laundromat itself, it's the area. As someone who's lived in the area I know what to expect but it constantly smells like weed outside and unfortunately it drifts into the laundromat especially when they leave the doors open sometimes. My second gripe is parking. The laundromat is situation in a small shopping center with Walgreens so you'll find parking but it might not be as close as you want.
