This is the most perfect mac 'n cheese ever! I had the Quattro (4 cheese), with breadcrumbs on top. Perfectly piping hot , nice and crispy on top, cheesy in the middle. My husband had the Popeye with mushrooms, parmesan, spinach, which was also excellent, very creamy. I preferred mine, he preferred his. Love the way it is served in the pan, with the mini oven mitt. Perfect portion sizes! Only 2 downsides: 1. plastic forks as someone else mentioned, although maybe it's so as not to scrape the pan. 2. I would like to see reusable drinkware. This is a great concept I would like to own a franchise of. I have been going since they first opened in this surprisingly off beat neighborhood some years ago. I still continue to make the 40min drive just for a meal. I love mac & cheese and they do it up right. Can be very filling for the average portion eater. Just get it to go as it will still be good reheated in the oven the next day. I recommend for the newbies to start off with one of their creative traditional set menu item and then customize from there so you can build your taste bud pallet before you start adding things to your dish. That way you first opinion will be a true one and not one of a dish you made taste bad by being ridiculous. Remember just because you like things separately doesn't mean that if you toss them into a dish they will go well together. Can't wait for one to open up in the woodlands with a larger bar with more wine and beer selections to choose from. Craft beers are a perfect pairing for their food. So drink & be merry my friends. For groups larger than 6 get it to go as they can't accommodate you by combining tables. They keep their overhead lower by offering a smaller square footage dining area inside. Improvement NOTE: Parking lot could be redone and entrance made wider with larger signs saying entrance only. What a unique experience! Although detouringly small, Jus Mac has huge flavor. I love coming here as I love mac and cheese. Every time I try to branch out and try a different skillet I end up getting the bleu cheese one and my fiancé gets the one with BBQ. It can be hard to get around in the small parking lot, but you can park across the street. I like the atmosphere inside and I'm always full even from eating the small portion. I had to call them and tell them I would be late to pick up. Its in a random spot in town, the place looks cute and trendy while the surrounding area includes dingy little liquour stores and car repair places. Nevertheless, the restaurant itself has a cool homey cant wait what you'll discover vibe. The atmosphere casually rocked. They have a good selection of drinks, and pricing is pretty pretty good. Went here last night and both the service and food were terrible. There was no ice in the ice machine,no forks, no clean tables and the staff was super unhelpful in finding any solutions for us. We ordered the Cheese & Chong, Pitmaster and Half Baked. The cheese and Chong was okay but the Pitmaster was disgustingly sweet, the brisket was extremely chewy but dry at the same time, half baked, the potatoes were almost raw and the sour cream was overwhelming. I've been going to this location since I moved to the heights and after tonight I think I'm not going back. The staff is nice enough and the Food is delicious but inefficient ordering system, never clean tables, never any ice in the machine. And most of all EVERY single time we order online for pick-up our order is extremely late. Without fail. I don't mind waiting 10-20 extra minutes if they would just tell you that when you order. For as long as this restaurant has been around you think they'd figure this out. Also every other time I go I've been harassed by homeless people. Many of my friends and family have been here on multiple occasions, and each time we leave full and satisfied. I've tried about half of the mac n cheeses that they offer, and they have all been so delicious! Their panini sandwiches, and fried mac balls are also yummy! Reasonable prices, great drink selections, and their patio is our favorite spot when the weather is nice. When I first moved to the Heights many years ago, this used to be one of my favorite places for lunch or dinner. Quality and service have deteriorated since then however. Portions are noticeably smaller and prices have sharply increased. Chicken in the Chik Chik is really gross (a lot of gristle). To top this off, the staff is not pleasant and the owner of the restaurant, Kim, is a belligerent drunk. I love mac and cheese. I make it for myself in a few variations a few times a week. Yep we are bosom buddies. So I was very excited to finally try this place. My mom and I ordered the Big Blue and Rustic Mac as well as a salad. First, the salad was very expensive for a side salad ($6). I think they would do better with a meal option of a smaller portion of pasta and a side salad at a fair price, since even the small portion of pasta was too much for me. The mac and cheese we ordered was tasty, but we ordered it with whole grain and that isn't what we got at all. Plus we ordered the Big Blue with artichokes, and didn't get the either. If we hadn't been in a rush to see a play, I would have sent them back to be redone. For the price and the wait, since it seems very popular, I would ordered it to go to make it more price friendly for what you get. This way I can have my drinks and salad at home and just bring in the mac to share. Also with this location, I noticed they didn't have much parking, so like so many places around town, parking could probably become a pain. read more

The buffalo chicken mac was pretty good. The texture of the cheese, pasta and chicken was great. I loved the cheesiness! It could have used a little more salt, but I opted out of adding more. I would get it again, but not until I have tried all of the others on the menu. My fiance' got the chili mac and it was oh so good. The look on his face after the first bite was priceless. Beer is around 3.25-3.75 depending on the brand (a bit pricey....I prefer dive bar prices). Wine is 6.00 per glass. Parking was fine, but we did get there at 5:45. Soon after that the place filled up and people were having to park around the corner. No biggie though.....the slight walk will do you some good. They had a pretty decent selection of beer and wine and quite a few flavors of Mac to choose from. You order from a counter and they bring your food to you using a number system. Despite it being busy, food was out quickly and service was attentive. Buffalo Chicken and The Hangover (a daily special) got stellar praise at our table. We've been eating here at least once a month since they opened. If you like the idea of mac & cheese cooked in a personal cast iron skillet, then you probably should try Jus Mac. You can pick one of their varieties - my personal favorites are the Buffalo Chicken (tastes like hot wings) and the Pit Master which has BBQ sauce and strips of brisket - but we come to like customizing ours. Pickled jalapeno and pineapple in the cheeseburger mac was a recent one that was pretty good. Unless you are wanting to pile it on, you can split a regular for under $10. The personal size isn't a good deal and it should be no surprise that leftovers are just as good as fresh. It's a pretty chill place to dine in, but you can skip the parking hassles by calling it in. They also have panini's and they're great as well. Not a huge fan of the mac balls, but the ones w bacon are worth trying. read more

The staff can be hit or miss, but the food is always delicious. I always get the Pit Master with regular pasta and bread crumbs; it never disappoints! Depending on the time of day you go, you may not have anywhere to sit inside, but they do have a back patio with additional seating.
