Finally getting a minute to post this. Took my niece and nephew here for a checkup and to get info on regular treatments. I am very involved with helping out with these beautiful children. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. I feel very comfortable coming back here and letting their parents know that this is a great place to bring the kids. The office manager Jessica and Doctor Eddie were also so much help. Letting me know what steps my niece & nephew needed going forward to begin their treatment. They also helped with all of the insurance questions. We all know those can be difficult. lol. I will be back and I will refer them to all of my friends and family. read more

We just moved from San Diego and we had high expectations since our pedo office was amazing. Today made us feel more easy our son had a consultation regarding an emergency tooth issue. They were all kind and friendly. My son was at ease and loved the tv in the room and after care prize he received. I have been taking my kids to Dr. Eddie Chang since 2018 and have no complaints. I love his staff and his approach to my kids. When my daughter was 2 for everyday for several months when we were driving on Temecula Parkway she would talk about going to see the dentist so I knew Just 4 Kids was special. They are very comfortable with his office and all staff are caring and forthright with what kind of issues my kids have with their teeth. I have taken my kids to see another dentist in 2019 and went back to Dr. Eddie since the other office reminded me of an assembly line and although thorough, felt phony. Our three boys have been patients of Dr. Chang from their very first dental appointments. Our two oldest sons very reluctantly transferred to an adult dentist when they were 20 Our youngest son is still a patient. He looks forward to his appointments every 6 months so he can talk to Doctor and Mrs. Chang. They truly care and are interested in his life. The office is spotless! It was my 2.5 yr old's first dental checkup. Although there were some expected tears involved, Dr. Chang and his team were kind, engaging, and supportive to my daughter the entire time, literally from the moment that we walked in until the moment we left! My Son is on the spectrum... getting him to sit for 5secs is a challenge... but to drill multiple cavities!?!?... don't worry, Dr. CHANG has answers and they provide results. I Was told extremely incorrect information concerning my child's teeth here. If I wouldn't have reached out for a second opinion else where I'd be putting my child under anesthesia for unnecessary "severe cavities" at this dental office. Refer to my original review on this dentist's covina office yelp page. If you have a special needs child, stay away from this dentist!! This is an update on our son's progress with another special needs pediatric dentist. Don't get swayed by positive reviews on this dentist and cause further trauma to your special needs child! Any little trauma/distress is like slow poison and will harm your child specially a toddler for years to come. If your child is crying constantly and on every visit don't think it will get better and the crying will stop. The child is NOT having a tantrum but severe distress so DO NOT THINK it will get better. Once a special needs child has associated negative emotions with a certain dentist it is going to be very hard to get out of that and get used to the same dentist. You need to change the dentist! Any good/empathetic/decent autism or occupational therapist would tell you that and it's sad this dentist did not know that. The new dentist without naming them were exceptional right from first visit. The waiting room by itself was very toddler friendly for the kids to play with while they waited with toys. The nurse, doctor every one were super compassionate. They let our son be himself while acknowledging his needs and slowing getting him used to all the equipment. They did not even force him to sit on the dentist chair!! No holding your child's hands and legs like at Dr. Chang's office!! As soon as he showed slight distress like slight crying they stopped. Then they suggested us to come more frequently every 2-3 weeks unlike Dr.Chang who claims visit of every 3 months will work. By second visit, our son did not even CRY!!! By third visit, he was letting all his teeth cleaned and letting the doctor remove the tartar!! OMG! The dentist was a savior!!! And YES MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!! IF YOU HAVE A GOOD DENTIST. If you are a good parent who cares about your child, do your children a favor and avoid this dentist. Do not confuse your child's distress/trauma with tantrums. Being a good parent means doing lot of sacrifices including finding the best fit of dentist for your child. This dentist should be glad we did not sue him!! My daughter had been terrified of going to the dentist. It was such an ordeal to take her. She didn't have a good experience in the past. I found just for kids and Dr. Chang and oh my gosh what a change. She is no longer scared and she also is now excited to take part in taking care of her own teeth at home. She enjoys brushing and flossing now. Her favorite part is picking the movie once she gets here. The entire staff from the front desk to Dr. Chang are seriously the kindest people. Our child had an apt today with Dr.Eddie. His receptionist was very welcoming, and explained all their policies & paperwork that I signed. When it was time to see Nathan, he got very nervous and didn't want to go to the room...But Dr.Eddie and his staff were very patient, and encouraging. I am glad they were extremely patient with our son & Dr. Eddie did an Amazing job in explaining to Nathan exactly what he was going to do along with helping him open up. I am glad we found him, and will be taking my son for his cleaning there again in the future. I definitely recommend his office. Update 06/17/2014: My son had been complaining about a root canal that was done at a different office for a couple of months...I took him to Dr.Chang twice & they did x-rays...At first he thought it was his last molar coming in that might be irritating the crown, but after the third visit he did another x-ray & seen that the Root Canal my son had, had two yrs ago had failed and that it had become infected....Therefore he would need an extraction. Dr.Chang and his staff were very patient with my son, mom & dad! We were allowed to be there for the procedure & he talked us through it to ease concern we had during and after the extraction. We were very pleased with his work & patience. Only thing I kind of wish Dr.Chang would have caught in time would have been the cavity he had at the time that somehow got missed, therefore on his 'routine' visit got noticed it, and now we will have to schedule two separate visits instead of one to address the cavities that got missed..Maybe all the cavities could have been addressed on the same initial visit? Who knows...But he did say he could try to address the cavities he will be addressing soon on the same visit if all goes well with our son. Overall I do like Dr.Chang, and the benefits have outweighed the accidental overlook...I do have to confess it will cost us more now, than if it were to have been addressed in the first place...Specially since he is not a network provider from our insurance. Pro: He is very patient with children and parents alike. Overall very happy with his work & patient relationship! Con: My son will have his second procedure office visit in a week and is scheduled to have another one to follow to address the cavities & sealants. So that will be three visits of procedures, three separate times $70 of nitrous so that my 6yr old can have work done...Too bad it could have been two visits instead of three...Since our insurance will not cover nitrous oxygen...But like I said, he said it could be a possibility that he could do all the work in the one visit...That it just depends....We shall see. Overall: I would recommend Dr.Chang! My son loves coming to his office & we love taking our son to a Dr. who will explain every procedure & allow us to be there while its being done. read more

Dr. Eddie Chang & his staff are the best! Just 4 Kids Dentist is one of the most efficient offices I've been in. Their facilities are top notch! It's obvious that they really care about children. My kids loved being able to watch movies while having their teeth cleaned. They also have multiple IPads loaded with kids games that are set up for the children to play on while waiting to be called into your appointment. However, I've never waited more than a few minutes to be called in. I can't say enough good things about this Dentist & his office. I highly recommend this kid centered Dentist! read more

Very pleased with my daughters first visit. She is 2.5 years old and the staff and dentist really seemed to know exactly how to handle dealing with children. We love this guy!! He only is up here on Thursdays b/c his main practice is in Temecula, but if he left, we would SERIOUSLY consider driving there the 2 times a year we'd need him for cleanings and checkups. He's super nice (I've seen him in action w/a screaming freaked out kid--not my own and not b/c of anything he did--and he was sooo patient), great with kids and his office has TVs on the ceilings for the kids to watch during cleanings. My 4 yr old daughter was in a dental emergency she had screamed for 5 hours the night before and was given no relief with over the counter meds. She was told by a Ped Dentist at My Kid's Dentist that she had to be in extreme pain with no antibiotic or help until Dec 11th on top of that they were not able to get her X-rays done. She is an anxious child, they did try twice but when i thought of a new way to try and asked the dr for one more try she refused. After calling around for HOURS my dentist referred me to Dr. Chang. His amazing office staff were as concerned as I was and within minutes Dr Chang offered to stay late and take my daughter. He took her X-rays himself when others failed and got my daughter out of pain. She and I both slept last night! read more

Dr. Chang and his staff are amazing! My son is not a big fan of the dentist but they definitely make me feel calm in the midst of all my son screaming and fighting. The office is very kid friendly. Ipads, tvs and rewards are all there. My son had major dental work and the routine. Everything was done without any worry. Appointments are made right away and they have a reminder system. BEST KIDS' DENTIST EVER!! Well, I guess I don't have much to compare with because I had never taken my daughter to the dentist until Dr. Eddie Chang. I didn't want to take her to a dentist because she is CRAZY! Let me describe my 2-year-old daughter to you. My daughter has incredible stranger anxiety and is very sensitive to people getting too close to her. This means that when I take her to any health care facility she goes crazy. She freaks out when I take her to the doctor's. She barely lets the doctor listen to her heartbeat, and cries a lot out of fear when he tries to look in her ears, nose, mouth and eyes. I can barely get her to stand on the scale by herself and when I say barely, I mean she is crying really loudly, and trying to hold onto me. So, when I took her to Dr. Eddie, I kept warning him. I had her sit in my lap while I sat on the chair. He was AMAZING! He kept distracting her and she opened her mouth fine for the flossing. I was in shock. When he tried to do the cleaning, she didn't want to open her mouth, but she wasn't freaking out. Any parent who thinks their child won't be able to handle the dentist should go to Dr. Eddie. He also opened up an office in Covina (previously called Covina Family Dental). I can't say enough how awesome he is! read more

The absolute best dentist, especially for children, that you'll find!!! When my son was six months old, his first teeth started eroding. The other dentists I had taken him to blamed me and dismissed it as going to bed with a bottle, only he was exclusively nursed. He took the time to listen and actually examine his teeth. He noticed that the teeth had no enamel, a birth defect, so any exposure to even nursing would cause them to be eaten away. He was able to build the teeth back up and seal them. It's very important to have such a patient, caring, talented dentist when it comes to children. Although no one looks forward to going to the dentist, my children are never scared and like getting their teeth cleaned and I love both the care he gives and the wonderfully caring staff!!! read more
