I was incredibly skeptical about taking my kids to this office however, a friend who works in the industry convinced me since she also takes her kids here. We have had the most amazing experience! The front desk ladies are absolutely lovely! Dr. Azadeh is absolutely wonderful and sensitive to my kids and our needs! Juana and Jody in the back office are freaking amazing!! We've had several horrible experiences with dentists and I wouldn't take my kids anywhere else after our treatments here. Front desk has a print out with a tooth and a goal of how many exams they do. Any issue we have ever had has been solved immediately and efficiently, they are always super communicative and are pretty prompt with appointment times. I recently discovered that my children were taken to this office for dental treatment without my knowledge or consent. As their primary parent and legal guardian, I was not contacted at any point, despite being easily reachable. The appointment was referred by Amanda G, a patient care coordinator of PDS Health. While I understand scheduling assistance can be helpful, it is deeply concerning that no effort was made to confirm consent from both legal guardians before examining or treating minors. This raises a serious question about the consent verification process: How is it possible for an employee at a PDS elsewhere -with a very ---we will call it "high conflict" and "personal"- relationship to one parent(dad) to secretly arrange care for a 4 year old without informing the other legal guardian (the wife and mother) ? Especially with the knowledge from the father that both children have med I cal and this place does not accept med I cal... This lack of consent and immoral decision making compromises parental rights and trust in the procedures that may be deemed necessary. I urge management to review and strengthen policies to ensure proper verification and communication with BOTH parents before any treatment occurs alongside making sure there is a court order to back up anything in regard to sole decisions made about the health of children. This has me VERY concerned that it may have gone as far as impersonating me as their mother. read more

The overall experience was smooth, they've been so attentive with mine and my son's concern. Liam has been anxious with the dentist but after his experience he said that he really liked the office and wanted to continue to go there. During his procedure they included him and explained everything he might feel which helped with his anxiousness and helped him be brave during it. The team is amazing here, and exceeds expectations! Avoid at all cost, the owner responded to me on google asked me to call in. When I called in I was helped my a women who kept hanging up on me saying she couldn't hear me. I was finally able to be helped by Callie, who said she can send me exactly what I needed. The lady who answered previously said they don't do that and I would need to get updated X-rays!?? I'm asking for past Dr notes, previous X-rays. Why would I need to go in and have them update X-rays when I'm asking files to be sent to my new dentist? Terrible billing on My Kid's Dentist's part. We paid in full for ortho and were able to finally able to get insurance approval of medical necessity after a year and a half of me pushing insurance and filing for an independent medical review. 4 months after they got paid out by my insurance and I haven't received any reimbursement even though we had paid in full for two sets of ortho treatments. They billed insurance for more than the full ortho treatment cost we signed a contract for and are pocketing thousands more than we paid for treatment. This was my daughter's first trip to the dentist. We arrived and they were very busy with people all over the office. We checked in and waited for our name to get called. The receptionist called us up and had us sign some forms. She was very informative and polite, making conversation with our daughter and super friendly. Shortly after we were brought back to a room and an assistant came in. She asked a lot of questions and was very nice. Made us and our daughter feel comfortable. I can't get my kids in to see this dentist. First, they can't figure out how to verify that we're covered (I have an out-of-state insurance provider). And when I ask them to please verify as far in advance as possible so that I can confirm this provider is in-network, they tell me they are SO BUSY that they can't possibly call to verify until two days before my appointment. So I'm waiting weeks and weeks for the appointment, only to potentially find out that this provider is not in-network two days prior, and then having to start all over from scratch and wait more weeks for some other dentist. Great. But that's not the worst part. I finally got to the point where my appointment was two days away. The provider called me to confirm my appointment. I told them one of my children wasn't feeling well, but I can bring my other child. They told me they had to cancel my appointment (which we've been waiting for for weeks) for BOTH children. So now I have to reschedule for both children. And that's not even the worst part. On the same phone call I was told that they couldn't verify my dental insurance coverage for my children. So I got my broker on the line and called the insurance company. We waited on hold for an hour and had incredibly frustrating conversations with my out-of-state insurance provider, and actually got them to call the office to verify our coverage. This office (Denise) actually declined to take the information because my appointment was re-scheduled into the next month and for some reason this meant they couldn't take our information. This is so incredibly frustrating and we haven't even set foot in the office yet. read more

This review is long overdue, I have been bringing my daughter to this Dentist for 2 years up until recently every doctor she had seen was wonderful. Last month I took her in for a cleaning and she saw Dr . Azzi for the first time. We went in knowing my daughter had staining on 3 molars that had been under observation in the visits prior, but were not cavities I was told however by Dr. Azzi that they had turned into cavities and her first recommendation was to get fillings I was hesitant and asked for other treatment options such as remineralization and only until I asked did she mention other options , her demeanor and tone was hostile saying my daughter already had her teeth remineralized and the only option was the fillings to which I denied and she then checked her chart and apologized for her mistake. That may be her personality but she is not very nice and comes off as hostile and unwelcoming my daughter loves the dentist however after that visit she didn't want to go back because of this interaction. I ended up getting a second opinion and it was confirmed through X-rays that my daughter in fact did not have cavities just staining. I will not be returning who knows how many kids they've misdiagnosed and put through unnecessary procedures. read more

Horrible day today, I usually don't have issues with them but my daughter had an exam and after the exam they work on the paper is not was discussed in the e room. I then scheduled to have the work done and I pull my daughter out of school for them to tell me it's not on their schedule but they want to get new x rays. Don't recommend this place!!! Staff in front desk is horrible and unprofessional. They don't respond to emails or return phone calls. I brought my son in for some work, actually a lot of work and initially I hesitated to bring him back.... But one of my family members that brings her kids here said try another dentist she's great! She was very patient with my son. The dentist we initially saw, not at all, Kelly Kim. So I took a chance and had to reschedule once due to Covid 19, all good no biggie. Got the work done had to get an anesthesiologist, who doesn't work for the company.. a contractor but I had to put a deposit and then I'd pay separately for his services .Honestly it seemed rather high as far as the amount, $1300 for an hour and a half. SCAM!!!!! Before I came in I called my insurance company and found out that I could be reimbursed for this due to my son having special needs but they required this be noted on the paperwork that is submitted with the claim. Of course I made the front desk aware of this and even asked the dentist Karen Mak to please be sure to make notes as this was the 2nd attempt to have the work performed and the initial attempt was without anesthesia. This is a scam in my opinion, they tell you your child needs a bunch of work to charge you what they want for anesthesia because most insurance companies don't cover this cost. When you seek reimbursement, this office can't get the proper paperwork. This is 9/07, why can't I get the correct document? I'm baffled how this one paper takes so long to obtain. I've called and emailed so many times and stopped by the office only to be told that I'll have it soon, full of excuses and not once has anyone followed up with me. Staff has attitude problems, just a horrible experience with this location from day 1. Dr.Kim has no business working here since she has no patients working with children that have special needs. The lack of communication and professionalism is what makes me so upset. But they sure are quick to charge the insurance and out of pocket costs! I left a message for the office manager asking for a call back, nothing didn't hear back from her. Krystle the office manager, doesn't manage. I wouldn't recommend this place anymore, at least not this location. Over it! Update 10-25 ****Why are you waiting for me to call you, I've left a message for the office manager to call, this is ridiculous. I'll be there again in person on Monday. Next steps are to locate an owner, corporate office and BBB and see if I can complain to the state directly due to my experience with these dentists who in my opinion do not have the best interest but are just making tons of money racking up insurance costs and over charging for the anesthesia that they have complete control over. They are the ONLY ones I trust with my kids. Every single staff member treats the children with such care. Even the most nervous child is handled with expertise. What I love is that before any procedure they not only explain it to the parents in detail but they also explain what is going to the child in a simplified version for them to understand. They let them feel the tools that will be used to ease the "scary" of the dentist. We moved up here about 1 year ago and things have been so crazy I hadn't had time to look for a dentist. It wasn't until my daughter complained of tooth pain that I knew I was too late getting her in to be seen (embarrassed mom face). I was worried because we had been going to the same dentist since my daughter was 1 (she's 9 now). Long story short - my daughter needed to have a couple of teeth pulled. We went in and the front office staff had amazing fun and caring energy. On top of that the dentist who did the extraction was AMAZING!! She was so kind, gentle, funny and fun. I let her know i had the group number and read everything off the insurance website but apparently that was not good enough. I would recommend the dentists that work here but NOT THE FRONT DESK! I'm not sure if any of them know what they are doing when it comes to insurance. Been going here with no problem until suddenly they can't do their job. My insurance company can't even figure out wtf they are talking about but they talk to you like you are the dumb one. Now needing follow ups on procedures they have done keep putting me off for 30 days, then 30 days comes and again another 30 days! First time taking my daughter to the dentist and it went smoothly. I was referred here from friends who have children themselves so I figured why not. I called in advance about some questions regarding group numbers and subscriber numbers and the front let me know I needed the subscriber number. When I got all the information, I booked an appointment which was not until another 2 months. I was worried that they might not take my insurance, when they let me know the office verifies two days prior to the the appointment. Denyse informed me it's due to some people's insurance expiring at the end of the month. Honestly she was was very patient while answering all of my questions. I got a call back from the dental office two days prior to the appointment for confirmation. As soon as we got there we were greeted by denyse and I filled out paperwork and quickly got called back to see the doctor. It definitely went a lot smoother than I thought it would, I would like to thank everyone for making it a positive experience for me and my daughter! Front office staff is incompetent. We have been going here for years because we love the dentist but unfortunately we've had so many issues with front office. I had 3 kids under 3 during covid, and they refused to let my husband come help and then refused to allow me to bring my stroller in even though 2 of them could not walk. Then we've had countless insurance issues , and they always wait until we are in the office to discuss when I'm trying to help my kids instead of calling and discussing before. Then when I call insurance they say there is no issue on their end. We have double insurance coverage and have never had issues at any other dentist, but somehow they can't seem to figure out. The last straw was today when I showed up with my 3 kids and they said that 2 of them they can't find on insurance and we couldn't be seen today. So again instead of calling ahead so I didn't have to get my kids loaded up and drive for 20 min to get there, they wait till we are in office. Honestly I want to give this place a 5 start but catering delaying with the front office a few times I changed it. The dentist is amazing. So is the staff in the back helping with the X-rays and cleanings. BUT the reason for the stars being low now is the front office staff. They make the whole office look bad. Why have three people working front office desk but only one will check you out. Also, the employee who works on the right side closer to the door going to the back is sassy and acts like she runs it and makes decisions based on her opinion and not the dentist. I would rather pay out of pocket for each appointment to get said opinion from the dentist and not the receptionist or whatever she is. That being said if you want to go to this office that makes you wait over 10-15 min for a receptionist/ front office staff to talk to parents about shopping/restaurants/ or trends just to check out then be my guest. If they are making their next appointment then obviously I would be patient and wait but to make us wait because they are chit chatting is ridiculous. Yesterday we had an appointment for a teeth cleaning and to get two teeth pulled for my daughter. She needs to get ready for her second pace of braces. We received the best care we've ever had at any dentist in our entire life. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. My daughter was a little nervous about getting her teeth pulled. Understandably. They gave her a little laughing gas numbed the area and then gave her the shot and gently removed her two teeth she could not feel a thing and was so silly giggling. If I could give them no stars I would. I have been bringing my children here for several years and have been happy with the care so far however my last experience ruined it for me and we will never be back. The doctor has been great with the kids but the front office and the billing staff have been incredibly rude, unprofessional and impossible to deal with. It is unfortunate that I have to forgo care with an excellent dentist because of their poor staffing choices. Although I have full coverage dental insurance the billing staff demanded over $500 up front before my children could have their treatments which I paid with the understanding that I would be immediately refunded in a timely fashion after insurance processed the claim. The staff also guaranteed me a discount on nitrous services. My insurance processed the claim quickly and the office had the claim paid within 2 weeks of the visit leaving me a refund of $300+. Instead of refunding it to me in a timely manner as promised, I had to fight with the billing staff and the office manager for a simple refund. Additionally the discounts they promised me they wanted to renege on and I had to fight with them about that as well. Between the out of pocket expense and the arguing back and forth for 4 weeks to try to get my money back I am frustrated beyond belief with this office. There are no shortage of dentists in my community and you would think because of that they would treat their patients better. Go somewhere else! read more
