Staff "usually teens" always helpful and nice and only down side is there's always a line but it moves pretty fast. Since they do mini taste test in mini cups it slows down the line when there's a "taste tester" in front of you. I wish they had more Doc Popcorn's around the country they're hard to find but worth getting a bucket or a big bag if you want more bang for your buck.

No one greeted us until later from the back however we didn't mind at all because it gave us time to taste test from the 9 flavors. Whether you're a sweet or savory person, they got you. My favorites were the churro and hatch cheddar/cheddar. By then, one of the employees greeted us and noted the tin can options and that the popcorn is good up to 6 months! My husband first tried the prickly pear popcorn from a grocery store and we liked that as well. We got a couple other bags and will be coming back again. Note, if you buy a tin can, you can bring it back for a refill for half off! Proceeds also go to veterans.

They have lots of options available as far as flavors, sizes and packaging. They were super easy to work with and very good with communication. I ordered Movie Theater and Kettle Corn flavors. They helped me figure out the proper amount for the project I was doing. I picked up the popcorn and found it hard to resist eating it all on the drive home. Both flavors were really good, but in my opinion, the Kettle Corn was exceptional! It was big and fluffy and the perfect blend of sweet and salty. It had a nice little cinnamon flavor to it as well. I'm not a big Movie Theater popcorn fan, but my daughter said that one was very good as well. It was a HUGE hit at the baby shower, and many many complements were heard on the popcorn. I've noticed small black businesses next door to one another which was also a great perk because it's nice to see diversity in businesses. They have parking meters outside that are really reasonable. I suggest bringing $1.50 in quarters, and you will be fine parking and browsing shops in the area. Some meters in the area do not have a cc insert so I recommend keeping quarters on hand. I saw a big ol' basket of Poppa Maize popcorn packs in front of Pour Jo Coffee last time I went to get a caffeine fix and knew I had to try some. I got the tomato basil and cheese. Each bag was $6. When I got home we broke open the cheesy popcorn bag. The flavor was really good! It just the right amount of seasoning. All the kernels were full, round, and fluffy looking. None of that hard kernel ish that breaks your teeth. Unfortunately, even though the bag had a desiccant packed inside to minimize moisture, the popcorn did taste a little stale/not very crisp. That didn't stop the toddler from devouring it all in one day (And sneaking a few bits to the dogs as well). The tomato basil unfortunately was even more stale tasting which was a bummer considering the price I paid for the bag. I did like the tomato basil flavor though. Maybe if the creator put some "sell by," "best by," or "made on" dates that would help, so people know how fresh their bag is. Maybe some different packaging would help too? Either way, I'd go back to get more popcorn from Poppa Maize if it was sold fresh from the kernel. Currently they seem to sell the popcorn at various small businesses such as Pour Jo Coffee and at local farmer's markets.
